>>65526735First for century arms!
Someone recommend me an extended MLOK handguard and a side rail optic mount that cost less than $400 total. >>65526769It came on the rifle, it’s Russian furniture.
>>65526735The russian loves the manlicker.
>>65526735horse cock won....
>>65526735I'm prepared to spend $600 on a MOLOT 45 round 5.56 magazine. Maybe even $700.
Does anyone want to trade a wooden hand guard set for my Iglim 5.5mm trunnion?
>>65527915https://gunmagwarehouse.com/bulgarian-ak-74-5-56x45mm-45-round-reinforced-steel-lug-polymer-magazine.htmlWhy would you ever do the retarded shit you were saying?
>>65526735I can't decide if this is hideous or cool. Please refran from giving me existential dilema on Mondays...
>>65528080Because I already own one of these and I want an expensive Russian imported one because I'm not a brokie like you.
>>65527915Well don't put that in your WTB.I'd try for closer to $300-$400. Best of luck.
>>65527924I have no real use for that trunnion, but what kind of wood handguard set are you looking for? Palmswell, dong etc?
>>65528159Palm swell or slab side, finished or unfinished is fine. I’m not picky.
>>65528103honestly fuck all that noise brah, im over paying obscene prices for shit just to look at it every now and again and brag that it's rare
>>65528103Something fool something something and his money being retarded.
>>65526735Did any country ever make AKs with walnut furniture? It seems like everybody used some light colored hardwood like birch or beech if they didnt use laminate
>>65528279Something something a poor faggot whining about something he can't afford.
>>65528293Nice b8 reatrd
So what's the deal with those Tisha suppressors? The guy at my LGS tried to sell me one the other day and said they're meant for AKs. They also remembered my name from previous transactions when I was only in there to buy oil this time, so I think that's a sign I buy too much stuff from them.
>>65528565>said they're meant for AKsLast time I checked they don't make tisha in 762 or 545, Maybe the 30 cal version? I'm not update on the latest and greatest suppressor tech but from what I read and seen the tisha is up there on being #1 especially for its size and weight. Also what oil were you buying?
>>65528863Yeah the guy said they're supposed to be a clone of a Zenitco suppressor, but I think he meant the Delta-Tek "flash hider" that you can actually buy now after they were unobtainable for years (sadly I never bought one when they were like $250). Also I was buying the meme onions sauce oil that is popular with instagram faggots right now because my gf is getting into guns and wanted some.
>>65528890>clone of a Zenitco suppressor,Wouldn't that be a putnik>Delta-Tek "flash hider" There is a bunch clones of that nowadays>meme onions sauce oil that is popular with instagram faggots I got rid of that spyware that only shows you posts that angers you keeping you in a constant loop of hate also the fuck is onion sauce oil? is it edible?
>>65528964Yeah the Putnik is the Zenitco clone. The Tisha is made by Stealth Additive Works and is 3D printed. The sauce oil is this: https://saucelubricants.com/
>>65526735Why Saigas don't look like this?
>>65529078Kys esl
Mosin crate is selling russian akm parts kits, anyone have info on these? Where they comes from? Who else besides him receive these parts kits?
Crazy how in current year people still buy turds just to "own le heckin purist snobs!"
>He's pissed about others guns again
>>65531085I'm trying to incite discussion by posting baitIt isnt working
>>65531087You could talk about the alpha series in a bad light for that
LPVO on AKYay or nay?
>>65531095Its "yea" not yay
>>65531095308/54r then yes.
>>65531117Yea, no.
>>655316427.62x39I got traded a Vortex Viper PST 1-6 for an old pair of AKG K01s headphones I hadn't used and have an ADM Recon-SL mount ready to use. Would allow me to swap my EoTech XPS3 to the Beryl and the HoloSun on my Beryl to the KP9 or this AR pistol I need to finish
>>65531685So many brand names and acronyms I got discombobulated by your post
>>65531685What mounts are you going to use it on? Sometimes LPVO is hit or miss, sometimes they look really odd looking, if you going to use a LPVO you have to make it look cool, form over function you feel me.
>>65531945also pic is showing how ugly they could look.
>>65531945Other than being somewhat large I think left looks fine, no worse than a posp or something, and on a full sized rifle it would be more proportionate
>>65531945ADM RECON-SL, 30MM scope ring version. Not a cantilever mount, but flat. My WBP Jack already has a TWS Dog Leg Gen 3 on it that my XPS3 is on currently.Got this pic off the teh interwebz of someone else using this on a Galil ACE
Anybody ever used tech sights?
PSA is starting to think they're Rifle Dynamics. This shit is ridiculous. It's literally just a WBP kit on their stupid receiver with ugly furniture.
>>65532725I kind of like it.
>>65532926>baby shit green cerakote>dewalt yellow stock and grip>fde rail>meme bronze flash hiderCouldn't be more garish and ugly if you tried
>>65533080I think they're aping the color scheme HK has been doing on the 416 and 417 lately.
>>65533263>googlesthats also giga-ugly wtfI miss when guns were just fukken black
>>65533266for a while gun companies have been doing this "burnt bronze" shit that looks absolutely horrid. It's FDE but 1000x worse. Hopefully the fad dies before the end of this decade and never returns.
>>65533997>burnt bronzeIsn't it just shimmery coyote brown? It's pretty much a color designed for IG fags. Nail art for grown men. Sadly if you want a color other than black then it's one of your only options lately.
>>65533080>>65534046Whiny bitch.
>>65534317Queer
Mount came in.>>65531945>>65531976
>>65534696put it on the gun.

>>65535126>if only you knew how bad things really are

>>65537301kek I was about to post this
>>65535126Thought this was a sam hyde edit from the thumbnail
I bought some used USP mags, previous owners had them installed with mag extensions, I prefer the default look of mags and bought some OEM base plates only problem is previous owner decided to add epoxy or super glue not sure but it is some clear adhesive, any way to remove it without damaging the mags?
>>65537669HE CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
bump
>>65536397Lmao
How bad is psa?
>>65539972Their latest model is the GF5, they had to go through 4 different generations of trial and error of cutting corners to a get a not so shit AK to sell. Buying a used wasr cost less than buying a any of PSA offerings, only good thing PSA has their way is their lifetime warranty.
Is bolt face erosion around where the primer pocket just cosmetic bad or critical bad? Had some Winchester #41 small rifle primers I bought during a previous reloading supply panic do their infamous edge pin-hole flamout and etch some pits into the bolt face.
>>65528145I only have the one I got for my Molot 556 side folder RPK. Just keep in mind that they have a 10rd limiter in there when new. You have to disassemble it and remove it for full capacity. Here’s a picture showing mine with the limiter. I sure wish I’d bought a boatload of them for 75 from royal tiger imports now that they’re 700 bucks.
Can I get a QRD on BSR-47
>>65537722>7722is that double dubs I see???????
I got one of the last surplus/parts build rifles from Zastava USA, anyone know why the wood furniture turned black by any chance?
>>65542195>ISD>>65542374Because someone painted it black?
>>65537679Boil them
>>65541595They were 75 bucks at one point? FUCK.
>>65542385ISD? Is the rifle better than PSA I’d like to own a Bulgarian rifle?
>>65543181No, Get a parts kit or Arsenal if you want something that will last you forever.
trust me. im one of you guys
Zastava m77 or RAK m77 one stamped one milled, I’m more interested in the milled one.
>>65543541now all you have to do is swap that mag for a drum and its functionally an rpk.
>>65543964>Factory built M77 with CHF CL barrelOr>Riley Defense built kit with US made nitride barrelEasy decision, if you're not retarded.>I’m more interested in the milled oneNevermind.
>>65543541That poor Hunter. At least you didn't try to turn it into a faggy pseudo Galil.
>>65542374Im fairly certain black paint was always associated with Arkans tigers and other paramilitaries in Bosnia. Greek Volunteer Guard in Srebenica had them as well and they were heavily associated with Republika Srpska higher ups. Most likely your rifle did indeed remove kebabs.
>>65543172Yeah? I mean unconverted saigas were $160 at one point, SGL-21s were like $500 or so, east german bakelites were sub $15 at one point tooThats just how surplus used to be, cheap
>>65543541All things considered it's not too bad of a bubba job aside from the bipod.
>>65544692The Galil conversions are cool though.
>>65545435Damn, I had no idea. Thanks for the info, anon.
Can I get a recommendation for a good and reasonably priced chest rig/carrying system for 5.45 mags?I've been considering the helikon-tex guardian rig, though I heard reports that AK mags are a tight fit and hard to reindex and I'd prefer something with a more rusfor vibe.
>>65549418>>655494157.62x39 bros we rise
>>65548092smersh
>>65548092Type 81 "Recce"
>>65548092I had a Helikon Tex updated Chicom that fit AK mags well. I gave it to my brother when I ordered a rig from Kaiser Trenchworks though. >>65550234Waiting on mine to get here.
>>65550523I'd get the helikon-tex chicom if it had double stack pouches, right now it's just a slightly upgraded chicom with a nice H strapwhat is the consensus on kommandostore jaeger? seems a little overpriced for what it is, though real SSO chest rigs have been very rare here so this might be the only alternative >>65550052I'm currently running a shitty molle beltkit and while it's pretty comfortable I feel it fills a pretty niche role, for 1 day excursion a decent chest rig suffices and anything longer than 3 days a chest rig + big ruck seems superior than lbe (you can't really use a backpack hip pad with smersh or any lbe)
>>65550671Jaeger rig I have heard is kinda dumb because those grenade pouches are weirdly sized. The project 84 chest rig from kommandostore might be a better option, ive got their smersh and its well made and high quality
>>65533080what about kalashnikov concern factory baby shit camo, that's not garish, right?
>>65550997That's sovl
>>65552929I read that in his voice
>>65526735Any recommendations for decent AK gunsmiths in the Florida panhandle area? I'm getting a MAK90 tomorrow, and want to put a spiker front sight assembly on.
>>65554589>panhandleUnlikely any AK builders even exist in that area, your most likely bet is CW gunwerks in south florida.
>>65554589maybe shoot the gun first before you pay hundreds of dollars to put meme accessories on
>>65554953I just want to unsporter it and I have money vro
>>65554589Does your MAK even have the right GB to accommodate a spiker? Not all MAKs do.
>>65554980Do you mean the one with the guide for the cleaning rod? Because if so it's not necessary. The front sight base also secures the cleaning rod.
>>65554988Doesn't have to do with cleaning rod retention. You need the GB without it, otherwise the spiker won't fold all the way.
>>65555039Oh interesting, thanks for the heads up. It looks like I have the correct one fortunately.
>>65555049Nice. GL with the spiker conversion. You getting the spiker from Polytech Parts? Do you know what factory the MAK is from?
>>65555056Yeah I will be getting the FSB/spiker assembly from them, and no idea. I'll report back when I have the rifle in hand.
On the topic of MAK90sAnyone know the gas block journal diameter for stamped MAK90sSimilarly, anyone know the gas block journal diameter for KBK milled Polish AKs?Anyone got a spare KBK Polish AK gas block with the shutoff valve for sale?I need to finish my MAK90 also.
Back with my MAK-90>>65555922I read standard 3mm pins. That's what I'm gonna try anyway. >>65555056I legit have no clue what factory this one came from. It doesn't seem to have factory markings.
Of course I forgot my picture.
>>65544498Before you go full cunta kinte wouldn’t a. Milled receiver be better for .308 recoil?
Today marks one month since I ordered my “in stock” 74 receiver from Recreator. It still hasn’t shipped.
https://x.com/GrandPowerUSA/status/2106141484340723788What's stopping Russia from doing something like this instead of wasting a morbillion dollars on the AK12
>>65558135>What's stopping Russia from doing something like thisgee, I don't know, maybe because what you posted is an AR-style rifle
>>65556773Molot Veprs in 308 were made with stamped receiversThe Kalashnikov Concern AK308 is also on a stamped receiver
>>65558170They're moving towards it anyways
>>65558231Yeah, in an alternate universe
>>65558135So... AK-19 or 102? Why invest money for an AR platform?
was perusing guns.com and found this. at first i thought the description was just a boomer with caps lock on but then i actually read it and found that it was so much more.https://www.guns.com/used-guns/p/romarm-cugir-wasr-10?i=750809
>>65526735Question regarding the JMAC East German MPI NK gas block.I finally want to make my dream gun a reality: an MPI AKS-74 NK clone. Unfortunately, my options for a base rifle are pretty limited. Basically, I can get a WBP in 5.45.From what I understand, for an NK build I'd need to start with a full-length rifle, since the upcoming WBP 100-series guns would probably be too short once the original gas block is replaced. The problem is that the full-size WBP is AKM-spec and uses a 45° gas block. Has anyone here done this kind of conversion or worked with the JMAC NK gas block on an AKM-pattern barrel?Mainly wondering whether this combination works at all without major issues. I remember there was an anon here with a beautiful NK build a while back, so maybe he's still around.Pic related would be the setup I'm trying to replicate.
Is it possible to get the AK12 2023 stock anywhere? or a repro?
>>65561890https://www.sureshot-usa.com/product-page/ss-12-stock cheek riser coming soon in their description.
>>65561513How about a draco or a rh-10? Not clone correct enough?
Liberation fighters in Ethiopia, besides the sks and the mosin, are all the AKs just underfolder type 56s?
>>65548092Crossfire DZ rig
>>65562539How are they getting mosins at a cost that makes sense to forego a cheap semi-auto? I understand the embargoes are fucking our prices but with all the surplus semi-autos and modernish automatic small arms floating around how does a mosin come up? It doesn't share calibers with anything else they're using. What in the fuck is africa doing
I have two Zastava M70s, and I confess that I like shooting my underfolder more than my fixed stock one.
>>65526735What’s the deal with all the wasrs and wbps being gone?
>>65563120Nobody buys aks anymore since theyre so expensive, so nobody imports aks anymore since nobody buys them
>>65563258I'll buy one and fix that
>>65563258I've bought two in the past month get on my level pleb
>>65562661In other pictures captured by the AP there are some fighters using SVDs, they share the ammo as mosins.
>>65563541If you have the ability to acquire SVD's it makes no sense to also be purchasing mosins. Which brings me to the point of the entire post, what price point are these mosins to where it makes any sort of financial sense to arm retards with a bolt action design from 1891 that was marginally improved in 1930. The market is saturated with cheap semi-auto and automatic rifles. If you have SVD's the logical acquisition is PKM's or just keep the 7.62x54r solely in your DMR/Guerilla-somewhat-accurate-dude role. This is all so fucking absurd
>>65526735Wolverine came in finally
>>65563723Same rebel group (OLA), they have PKMs, I'm just assuming the guy with mosin just got unlucky, most of the weapons they have from what I read are just captured from Ethopian forces.
>>65563911So odd. Africa is fucking retarded
>>65563861Has your SLR been refinished? A lot more glossy than what I'm use too seeing?
>>65526735Guns are basically just collector items and I’m bored of ars. I’m selling my collection and getting one rifle I like and one pistol. Is Wbp gtg? I hear the barrels have terrible accuracy even the FB ones. Wasrs are apparently on the way out and I’m not paying 1000 for one
>>65564849Just buy a polytech legend for $4kthe peak pre ban AK
>>65564855>the peak pre ban AKWrong
>>65563861I desperately want to hear what a Wolverine on a 5.45 sounds like in real life, preferably with other cans as a point of comparison. Everyone says they are loud but I like the idea of switching it between AKs that aren’t dedicated suppressor hosts and I also know that 5.45 will never be properly quiet.
Kek at this local listing. USA made AK, the only thing Romanian about it is the wood handguard and Rick will only trade it for a SCAR 16 or a belt fed, or $1400. You just know he bought this thing for like $800 at his local gun store
>>65564909Dude even the old stock SCARs with the NRCH retail for the same as the new Gen 2 SCARs, in the $3300-$3600 ballpark. Asking to trade a shitty barely Romanian AK is absolutely insane
Psa g3 good to go? Mainly asking people that actually own and shoot them.
>>65565203>Psa g3 good to go?this has been asked thousands of times everywhere and the answer is no. If you want a budget AK get a WASR.
>>65565210Washers are $1000 now and out of stock everywhere. Is there even a justification for why the answer is no I feel like half the people that dismissed. Don’t even own them let alone test. Will it shoot accurately enough? Will it explode after 3000 rounds?
>>65565250Probably andProbablyMost people don’t shoot their guns enough to even identify common issues let alone shoot 3 cases of ammo in a year like someone here might.
>>65565203Hey man, it's clear you want one; just buy itBuy a PSA AK, and if you like it, greatIf it sucks, then you'll know not to go cheap with AKs
>>65565291Well, no not really it’s just they’re up in price close to other or reputable firearms and it seems like as far as a case go currently everything is sold out. I was just hoping that somebody would do an actual justifiable reason why they’re bad instead of just saying go bad.Misha did a video on Pioneer arms and they’re Polish shake which ended up lasting several thousand rounds and got the shit kicked out of it with more or less normal amount of wear,
>>65565319Well, normally I'd recommend buying a Zastava ZPAP, but you said you didn't want to spend $1,000+ on an AK so you don't really have many optionsIt sounds like your mind is already made up and you're just looking for justification, if I'm being frank, so that's why I just suggested buying a PSA or whatever regardless of what anyone here says
AMD-65 stamp was approved, gonna have to wear the 4 piece until the AMD brake comes in. I need to cut the receiver for a proper rear sling point.
>>65565596Are those receiver sling swivels supposed to be spot welded or just bent open to stop them from coming out
>>65558135nigger, they've been making these for years
>>65565656
>>65565639I think just bent open.
>>65565596>I need to cut the receiver for a proper rear sling point.I thought about that too, but I've been using a Echo 93 V5 sling mount for a few years now and decided it's more than good and it's not worth the risk of screwing up my receiver.
>>65558135According to Boondock Ballistician, the ARAQ is a big steamy shit that barely cycles
>>65531095300 yards for practical range isnt really enough to justify it unless you're hunting, in which case you absolutely should, but otherwise a red dot or just irons is better
>>65565863I have one that sticks out to the side at a slant, would prefer a real mount as I just want to use a surplus Hungarian sling. Have to use a key ring on the Echo.
>>65565878Does she have some kind of chromosomal disease.
>>65566929Slavic genes
>>65565250>Will it shoot accurately enough?>Will it explode after 3000 rounds? The problem with PSA, is that no one knows, you could get an ok rifle, however there is a chance you could get a shitty QC one where problems can appear out of the box or after a few thousand rounds. If you are just going to shoot it a few times a year im sure it will be fine. However if you intend on shooting a lot just save a few extra hundred to get a WBP or a WASR.
>>65566882Fair enough. I'm not that particular about my sling choice, so I just use one like this.No key ring needed.
>>65567064I'm particular.
Is there any reason to spend the extra $ on an RS-regulate over an SM-23 if I just want pic-rail for mounting and elcan/lpvo?
>>65567060I have a feeling a basic bitch Wasr will be arsenal prices in 2 years. May as well just save up for something duty grade.
>>65567826WASRs today are already the price Arsenals were 15 years ago.
>>65526735Bad news bears: Wbp is shithttps://youtu.be/28XrfbvTMIc?si=QwzptKthf-MCV_vUIs there a single rifle out there that is actually AK reliable out of the box? Are Wasr and ZASTAVA really it?
>>65568212>AKM based AK twisted into a mockery of its self to shoot goyslop 5.56 and blowing up Nothing of value was lost. WBP make good AKs in the PROPER CALIBER which is 7.62x39
>>65568232Why do so many 556 aks turn into grenades. Shouldn’t they literally just be a rebarreled 74
>>65568212>Is there a single rifle out there that is actually AK reliable out of the box? Are Wasr and ZASTAVA really it?No because these rifles are a dated design that is assembled by drunken slavic Homer Simpsons using second-world manufacturing levels of QC. If you actually want an AK that is near Western level of quality then you have to swallow your pride and buy a Galil ACE. I'm not saying regular AKs are bad, but at the end of the day they are basically $300 rifles being sold to Americans for $1000 apiece.
>>65568244Most 5.56 AKs are US manufactured and US built AKs are not known for quality. WBP seems to be an exception
>>65564482Yeah someone painted it with some glossy slick blackish blued looking paint, not a huge fan but it doesn't kill it for me either.
>>65564901This one is in 5.56, I'm sure the sounds are comparable.
>>65568148Imagine if PSAs became as expensive as Colts were 15 years agoMost would just give up on ARs entirely
i hope meridian sorts their shit because i think a 102 would be neato
>>65568212just get an AR-15 for shooting 556 man.
>>65569263It is just their brakes that are causing the accuracy issues. So just buy a surp brake or get a bulgy flash hider. I know it is dumb to have to do on such a pricy rifle.
>>65569760I wonder if Meridian is gonna fix their brakes. If I cannot get a Beryl 5.56 next year I am going meridian for my first 5.56 ak unless I find a killer deal on an m85 underfolder to sbr.
>>65567560RS has a better track record, more modular, also doesn't have giant logo on it.
>>65570957Beryls are nice, but aren't worth what they are going for i m o. Granted no AK is worth what they are going for.
>>65568212>5.56 AK firing pin out of spec It seems to be a common issue with every AK maker who begins making a 5.56 AK. Meridian defense had the same issue not sure if they’re fixed it yet or not. PSA I also had the same issue, but seemed to have fixed. From everything I’ve seen so far if you want a dirt cheap modern AK that (sometimes) works PSA is your best bet aside form a WASR. People are also telling me Riley Defense has improved in quality since 2026, their bolt carrier, bolt, and trunnions are now forged, probably gonna pick up one of their 7.62 Krinks to test out. Haven’t heard any news on the newer batches of American Century Arms AKs but they are fucking everywhere now, probably the single most common AK I see on shelves in stores. I can attest that literally every gun store in Arizona has at least three. Anybody know if Century Arms VSAKs still use pot-metal trunnions?
>>65571937Ignore this gurofag, I'd rather have a rifle that eats a firing pin every once in a while than a rifle that is slowly turning into a pipe bomb with a headspace that walks out. >Meridian eating pinsSource? Only issue they have is accuracy related and it is entirely down to their 74 brake. Take it off the rifle and the accuracy is where it should be for any other AK.
>>65571937Nobody here owns or shoots AKs enough to tell you what works or doesn’t. See this nigger: >>65572298 he’s literally saying that eating firing pins is OK, this immediately tells me that he’s an AR guy because he’s never changed his firing pen in an AK, he doesn’t own or shoot AKs, he is a no-shoot nigger. Changing of firing pins in an AK is not a great idea because sometimes they are hand fitted and bury a lot even within manufacturers. That’s the main reason why AK components are supposed to last forever because that shit is not as interchangeable.
>>65572964So you are saying you would rather have a rifle that has a walking headspace (i.e. a personal pipe bomb) over one that eats firing pins every couple thousand rounds?
>>65573008I’m saying if your AK won’t make it to 46,000 rounds without any parts replacement then you made a bad investment. You are fundamentally misunderstanding AKs. Retards like (You) will try to justify their shitty overpriced Polish turd AKM or abomination amerimutt gremlin IED by arguing with a literal cave man like me on a Mongolian basket weaving forum instead of just buying a WASR or a Zastava and instead of spending all that money on firing pins spend it on ammunition and actually go out and shoot the damn thing. I’m going to be blasting about 1000 rounds of 7.62x39 this weekend, how much shooting you gonna be doing, bud?
>>65573081Beryls are turds? Color me surprised. But no, little faggot (you), I'd rather someone considering a cheap AK to have to replace firing pins than get injured from their AK exploding. Of course if people have the money they should buy something proper.

Anons, what is your opinion of the RPK?Me personally- I think it’d be a cool rifle to have, but I also think of it like this; I hunt and I also wonder about a hypothetical global system colapse. That being said, I have my durr rifle, and my AR. So therefore it makes no sense for me to have a 7.62x39. Then again- it’s probably the closest obtainable semi auto “LMG” I could realistically own. Thoughts? Opinions?

Any Russian scope havers have any insight on this scope? It’s an NPZ PO 4x24 -1-01 that I was told was designed for AKs but this thing sits so far back that it’s practically unusable without putting a pad on the stock. Did I get the wrong one or are they always this janky?
>>65584149Yes, and the plastic packaging on the SIG parts bag says the country of origin. Anything MIM is usually India with seemingly only springs still being USA in origin.
>>65585206Does the rubber piece come off? Also source on handguard set.
>>65585485The rubber eyepiece comes off but the eyebox is very particular so it’s not much of a difference, worse even. The handguard is a normal Arsenal polymer lower and a B5 systems upper that I painted in Alumahyde to look like the AK from STALKER.Anyways I mostly figured out why it sits like that by looking at old forum posts. It has a kind of “universal” mount with a little bit of metal that acts as a recoil lug but keeps it far back on the rail. I couldn’t find a fix, anybody know of a replacement mount or someway to modify? I can post pics of the mount itself if that helps.
>>65585480If you post this in /hg/ they get so angry lol

>>65585816It’s to the rear. The tension lever ends up sitting on the right edge of the center when closed.
>>65586032If I could get it to sit with the tension lever more centered it would be a lot better. I’m open to suggestions.
>>65585206That's just how using a Russian scope on an AK is unfortunately. Take the rubber sunshade off to make it easier but you're basically going to be using a chin weld.
>>65586051The chin weld isn’t the problem insomuch as the extreme rearward position, I expected the height and it’s not a problem. The Saiga mount POSPs sit much further forward and the SVD mounted versions don’t sit so far back on the stock either.
Fellow Beryl owners, could you help me? I mixed up my grip screws and nuts that were provided from AoA with an AKM screw and nut and I cant tell which ones are which. I am trying to throw my original grip back on the rifle.
If I am one who hates cleaning/hardly ever cleans my guns except a light coat of oil, then wouldn’t an AK over an AR make sense?I’ve got a 20” AR cause I think everyone needs a musket. But I also have an AK parts kit that I go back and forth on putting together.
>>65586361tough choices but i'll roll

>>65586361Beryl screw is shorter
>>65586402You don't have to clean ARs or AKs that often. I shoot my ARs suppressed (very dirty) and clean them every 3 or 4 range trips if that. Unless you're using corrosive ammo, cleaning your AK is honestly not a big priority.

>>65588044Less obnoxious at an indoor range, magazines have nice curves
>>65588044Bigger boollet = more fun and has a more pleasant report typically (muzzle device dependent of course). This goes for both 5.56 vs 7.62 and 9mm vs 45 ACP. >>65589371Every Ivan, Pablo, Mandika, Muhammed, Ping Pong, and Ching Ling were getting TDPs from Daddy Russia for the AKM so no shit there's that much variety in magazine design. Same with ammunition, to the detriment of the US civilian market, as when restrictions/bans started happening, ruh roh Raggy muh cheapo commie caliber price go up! Most evident of this being 5.45x39 which did NOT have as widespread adoption beyond the remaining Russia aligned countries post 90s/2000s. Almost all of whom had import bans placed on them for continuing to suck Ruskie cock. Naturally, prices have skyrocketed and likely will never recover in 5.45x39s case. Which honestly does very little different from 5.56x45 NATO; the predominant round in Western use. Which America is a part of. For better or worse.Very few countries that fielded the AKs actually went ahead to develop a rechambered AK-74 for the NATO standard, as most changed over entirely to Western small arms. Poland and Bulgaria being the most notable of them. Yugoslavia never got the actual AK specs as we all know, but instead of making a 5.45x39 rifle, they made the M80/M90 (later turned into the M21).So no shit there's less 5.56 AK mag variety out there. Less countries fielded or developed a 5.56 AK compared to the traditional 7.62x39 chambering.
>>65589346Based. Thanks anon. Do you have any idea how much the parts will cost? I believe I also need a go gauge. I have a no go.I also have a hydraulic press (still need a jack for it though).
>>65589371That's not the point. You're acting like owning a 5.56 AK is some wildly more expensive and complicated experience than owning a 7.62 or 5.45 one. I buy 5.56 anywhere and share the ammo between my ARs and AKs and it's cheaper than buying Azeri 5.45. The magazines were less than $20 and totally reliable. If you want to scratch your AK itch and not jump through hoops for ammo, 5.56 is the way to go. This wasn't the case 8 -10 years ago when the only decent magazine available was the Circle 10 one for $50 -$60 a piece and 7n6 was still decently cheap. You are parroting outdated info because it is in fact cheaper to shoot a 5.56 now including the magazines and ammo. So shut the fuck up.

I think the only thing I hate about the MDC-101 is they made the barrel a 1:7 instead of a 1:9. The AK-101 had a 1:9 and I think most people still just use 55gr anyhow so the 1:7 twist rate isn't as optimal for that round.

>>65594496Don't do it, you'll regret it. I've had to send mine in for warranty twice already. Still haven't received it back, its been 6 months.
>>65593623If you want a high gloss, the wipe-on poly. The problem with poly is that since it's essentially plastic, it can end up looking like plastic.I've used poly on my SAR-1 refinish, and am happy with it. One advantage it has is that so long as you are cool with toxic chemicals, removing it leaves the wood relatively unaffected as it's more of a coating. The oils seep into the wood more before you get to a surface finish, so it's somewhat of a permanent process. The glossiness of the oil finishes are largely a product of how many coats you apply. All the modern retail oil finishes have polymers in them, so they're not completely different. What finish to use on gun stocks has been widely debated on other forums and video sites, I'd research more over blindly going with my advice.
>>65595478Noted. I'll look around and verify it against tung/linseed oil before I go all in.
