SP5 with an A3F stock, Surefire 328LMF handguard, Eotech 558 on an MFI low profile picatinny mount, BFG Vickers SMG sling, clipped and pinned ambi 4 position lower and a Raregreed FRT

Sorry about the angle, my camera setup is pretty jank and I'm not used to trying to record this sort of thing. Seems to be about 850 rpm and I've had 0 issues using the Raregreed FRT with 124 gr Blazer brass with HK, MKE and KCI mags. Tempted to try putting in an 80- or 90-degree locking piece to see if I can get the rof down to 800 but it seems silly to mess with it while it's been 100% reliable
>>

Correction, it's a 552. Eotech's got an awful naming scheme

Love my Kuna so far. Few hundred rounds of various bullet weights and shapes through it with no issues.
Has a Primay Arms x1 prism scope on it (which I love). The Priamary Arms cantilever high mount looks a little goofy but feels great to look through for height and eye relief. Probably swapping it out for a different mount down the road so the flip up irons can be used through the mount. Pretty low priority though desudesu

I'll fully concede that that problems I experienced could easily be attributable to shooting a dirty range whore, but I spent an hour with one of these things, and it literally couldn't make it through a single magazine without a malfunction. Non-stop failure to feeds. Could be just be a poorly maintained range whore, but even before this experience, I trust Springfield about as much as I trust a group of 10 brown people hanging out on a street corner at 3 am.

I really want to build an HK53 for some reason
>>
ill ask here and in frt.
I shot a ghm9 with a rare breed frt and it was the most delightful shooting experience ive had in a long time and now I want a frt 9mm gun.

I have a brokie boy ap5p already. I am primarily concerned with a headache free frt experience, then actually controllability in full auto, then hollowpoint compatibility.

Should I get an frt for my ap5, or should I get a ghm9 and frt that gun? I could be convinced to spend for for an apc9 if it’s actually better under automatic fire, but I prefer the longer boxy tube gun look of the ghm9 to the and tall but stubby lookin apc9 aesthetically. I bought the flat front ap5, so if I want to suppress, I need a new gun anyways
>>
>>65528843
The AP5 is hassle free for FRT. Just plug and play.
The AP5P is not. You may need to tinker around with not only ammo types, but also locking pieces or other parts.

Highly reccomend you look at a normal AP5 in the long run. Because the only thing that's more fun than a MP5 with a FRT is a suppressed MP5 with a FRT.

It's a steel gun that takes steel mags. Hell, the old ones even had the same kind of steel lowers as the G3 rifles had.
Here's one that's all steel and wood.

Sure, we're in the age of some pretty amazing 5.56mm carbines and ammo, but classic guns can be enjoyed just because you're a free man and it's your privilege. 9mm is cheap, not very loud, and with an MP5 the recoil is super mild, so they're very enjoyable plinkers.
With a Fleming Sear or FRT, they can be VERY fun toys.
>>

Non-issue for me since the hinge is stiff and it won't flop open under its own weight. Also, I think the OP's stock is the HK branded UMP stock. The hk one has about an inch or so longer LOP.

>>
So, is it worth it to bother with a telescoping or folding stock on a home defense PCC?
I'm considering selling my Ruger PC Carbine, since the NFA restrictions on SBRs are way lighter now. I'm still deciding on what I want to replace it with, but I know I want to get a stock for it. I'm just not sure if I should even bother with a folding or telescoping stock versus a standard fixed one.

There's upsides and downsides to both. I have never used a telescoping stock but just based on looks, I assume you won't be able to get a good cheek weld but it's more compact than a folder which would stick out to the side. Deployment will also probably be easier due to that

>Zenith used to import MKEs but they fucked up their arrangement and lost the contract due to fallout over an Obama-era ammo deal.

Nah. MKE was sending subpar MP5s to Zenith that were obviously QC rejects. Then a MKE exec tried to sell Zenith the technical data package and tooling to make their own MPT rifles (Turkey's latest combat infantry rifle) which Zenith turned around and told the authorities resulting in arrests. MKE tried to extort money from them first with an unpaid ammo deal that Zenith had nothing to do with and then they tried to sue Zenith in US courts saying Zenith was the one seeking to buy the MPT tech specs (MKE lost that court case and owned Zenith $700k).

tl;dr: Roaches were underhanded scum and Zenith refused to play their games.

From what I understand, after 10” you lose any benefits to a longer barrel. When I was a cop, these 16” carbines were all the rage though, with SWAT, DEA, etc. having the SMG. I like the Colt mags.

With 9mm, you start seeing the beginnings of diminishing returns after 10", though it's not so sharp of a falloff that you can't see any further benefit from more. Longer barrel does still increase velocity some, and it also means more complete powder burn and less blast from the muzzle (for what little blast 9mm has), so the longer a 9mm carbine barrel gets, the less noisy they are.

That said, 16" barrels for 9mm carbines exist for legal reasons only, 10" to 12" is more than long enough for all 9mm carbine purposes. If there was no NFA, all 9mm AR carbines would have this kind of length.

>>
>>65532380
I know, that is why I want it with the longer barrel. I love the weird stuff that was on the market in the 70-80s. The only thing I am seeing that I might have to do from the wordpress they posted is find a heavier bolt for it since Colt made their bolts too light and their velocity is like 23% faster than a 5.56 AR and I am curious how close PSA/H&R stuck to the OG weight of the bolt.
>>
>>65532110

I guess that explains why current meeting ap5s are affordable. They just need to move product to generate profits to cover their legal expenses that resulted from their failed crimes. >>
>>65533301
I've got about 2k-ish rounds through and I shot some really nasty 115gr el cheapo ammo at first. The gun ran fine but the ammo was clearly dogshit with some being pretty low powered and having issues with extraction. The 147gr Remington ammo runs flawlessly and isn't that dirty, despite shooting her suppressed. Maybe the older gens of the Vector had issues but so far mine has been running great, with and without a suppressor. It may just be fuddlore exaggeration but she doesn't run any worse or dirtier than an MP5.

The only thing I would advise is don't run the bolt dry. I use Slip2k EWL on mine as it's recommended by Kriss themselves.

I just did this build today and it fucks. Wild timing for you to ask. There is a hang up with the bolt though. If you death grip the trigger, you can get it to lock up. I'd assume this is something to do with the BCG not being "ramped" enough. I'm running a Colt 6951 upper that has been shortened to 10.5 from Black Ankle munitions, with a Faxon 9 BCG that I trimmed the bolt weight in to let it fit the AZR, on top of am H&R 635 lower, A5 buffer tube, and FM9 RMB. It runs great, but it does have that hiccup that you can induce, and I ran into one light primer strike when releasing the bolt on a new mag. It's not perfect, but its a fucking awesome range toy.

I recently bought a Strike Industries Bravo Chassis for my Springfield Echelon.
I'm going to be putting a stock on it, but I was hoping for some suggestions.
What do you think would work best for something like this?

The locking piece it came with(one jam every other mag) it looks like 100 but hard for me to tell, I tried an 80 and it jammed 5 shots in a row and I called it for that one. I still have a 120 to try out next. I have all MKE mags, and one HK 20 rounder. Next time ill jsut try the 20rounder over and over.

Does it jam in semi auto fire as well or just FRT? Maybe an issue with the FRT trigger? Im using a AP5P with an HK ejector and have never had an issue, I use MKE mags as well.

So, I understand that PCCs almost always have a longer barrel than a handgun, but what does that really mean in practice? Will the added barrel length give the bullet a discernible difference in damage? How much harder is it to sweep your house with a PCC than with a handgun? Which handgun caliber gets the most improvement out of a longer barrel?
>>
>>65542766
Longer barrel = more time for gas pressure to accelerate bullet.
More time for gas pressure to accelerate bullet = bullet go faster.
Bullet go faster = more betterer and gooder damage (generally).
>>
>>65542766
PCCs are bigger but have more points of contact and are far easier to put lights, suppressors, and optics on. Plus suppressed PCCs are better than a suppressed handgun (generally) because my glock 19 with a can has me feeling like a jew in the 40s

should I just go with a rare greed frt for my sp5k or wait for the arhk? I hate how the selector looks with the arhk but heard there's some issues like trigger slap (an anon in the frt general told me it's a non issue) and non tactile feeling selector switching for the rare greed
>>
>>65546533
Me personally, I'm waiting for the ARHK before I give Rage Greed Niggers a single penny. I would imagine ASD will eventually come out with nicer looking selectors that don't have a screw in the middle (source: it came to me in a dream). I also don't care about that screw and find it funny that so many people do. I don't even notice that kind of stuff unless someone points it out.

They're going to release a stealth selector for their arcfire, so I think they're going to do the same for the arhk eventually

Why? If you part with your MP5 you'll regret it. Obviously an AR is the most practical gun you can own, but MP5s are an absolute joy and by no means incapable firearms. I'm a turbo gunsoomer myself, but if I were forced to pair down and kept only three guns for the rest of my life, they'd be an AR, an MP5, and a 9mm handgun.

Sorry for the low effort post. I carry a Bodyguard 2.0 in .380 ACP. I have several .22s, shotguns, and rifle caliber long guns but I don't stock any 9mm because I don't own any firearms in 9mm. I'd like a longgun in .380 to plink with. I was wondering if anyone knew of any PCCs chambered in .380 ACP other than the Hi-Point 3895. I've seen snippets of AR uppers in .380 online, but link I've found goes to dead website from like 10 years ago.
>What I'm really hoping for is that some company starts making De Lisle carbines with all this NFA stuff that's been going on lately and that they'd offer a chambering in .380
>>
>>65558444
pic not related, but I know that Spanish Destroyer carbines were made in 9mm largo which I've looked at, but that seems like a bitch to try to rechamber one in .380 but it would almost be what I'm looking for without an integrated suppressor.
>>
>>65538751
She's beautiful, who makes these?

Who are the good mp5 cloners? My lgs has a Century SD(fake suppressor, will replace). Another lgs has a few pistol mp5s with the broom handle.
>>
Are there any 10mm PCCs that take steel or aluminium mags while also having a metal lower? I'm trying to figure out how to make a more classic looking big brother for my vz61. No luck with mags for the stribog, 10mm mp5 uses polymer mags (and is a bit out of my price range), and a mechtech is straight blowback. Converting grease gun mags for an ar seems to be the only option I can find.
>>
>>65558387
C&Ps are pretty obvious due to the "pin" placement and everybody can tell it's a C&P anyway because it still says READ OWNER'S MANUAL GUN FIRES WITHOUT MAGAZINE on the side. It's better for the SP5 fags to own it with the "you must be poor" retort rather than try to hide it with a shoddy C&P.
>>
>>65558165
>>65558444
I just saw the second post saying long gun but I was going to say there are 380acp Mac11 uppers/barrels out there.
>>
>>65558444
There was a company presenting a little pump-action .380 pistol/shorty carbine at the Shot Show, looked almost like a pirate gun...
>>
>>65558485
Check out PPS-43 mags. They can feed 9 Luger, 7,62 Tok and .45 ACP, might work with 10 Auto too.
>>
>>65558539
Yeah those are by Tippmann. I suppose you could now put a stock on one with the NFA shit going away and they do look kinda neat.

I already own a .380 barrel taken off of a Hi-Point carbine and I've got an uncle who's a retired machinist. .380 is a fairly low powered cartridge, it wouldn't be impossible to make some sort of cludged together bolt action single shot out of some steel.
>>
>>65557737
Collapsable tailhook mod1c.
>>
>>65558657
Apparently there were no plans for a stocked version because the pistol is what daddy Tippmann wanted and designed (well, reverse engineered) to make back in the day and all little tipp did was bring the gun to market. They said that they did very little to prepare the design for 'mass production', but they don't expect it to be a big seller either. I imagine that will change if there's enough interest in it.
>>
>>65558992
It's a neat little thing, and I understand why they have an MSRP of $800 on it but it's not something I think I'd buy. Someone who was good at woodworking could probably carve a shoulder stock that extended out from the pistol grip on it and have it as a weird little SBR.

After doing some google I found a South American company called Enterbras that makes (or made?) carbines chambered in .380 for due to fucky gun laws down there. Actually finding one here in the US would be unlikely though. Seems like they made ARs and M1 Carbine clones chambered in it.

Chiappa makes the M1-9 which from everything I've seen is a piece of shit and wouldn't be worth trying to rechamber, so I wonder how bad a purpose built M1 Carbine clone would be even if the form factor would almost be what I'm wanting. Still think a little bolt action would be neat tho

>>
>>65562440
Interesting
>>
>>65562427
RareGreed, but it seems to be one of the more robust designs which I think is probably important for a delayed blowback action. Running a Super 42 spring and H2 buffer plus the LAW extension plug which takes it close to H3, runs both supers and subs that way, could probably be tuned up or down.

>>

Mags that is.
>>
>>65562551
Sample of one but I really like the CMMG RDB setup that uses these full size AR mags, gear compatibility and muscle memory is exactly the same as a 556 gun so you can actually train with it. I have 3 different versions, the CMMG one in the pic along with Pmags converted using the Mean Arms Endo inserts and Mean's 40 round Exo mags, all runs flawlessly. And yes you can drop any AR upper on there, in fact this gun was originally built for a 300Blk upper 10 years ago that still sees some use.
