the boomers at my LGS won't shut the fuck up about their turkshit gunswhat the fuck is the turk endgame with this industry? every gun I've shot from a turkish country has had some sort of dealbreaking issue, can't understand how anybody defends them
A lot of people don't shoot their guns enough to run into problems, even if it's a gun with a high statistical probability, they won't shoot enough to have a problem and they'll be absolutely convinced their gun is perfect.Like the dudes who will write 5 star reviews on something and all it says is "just got it out of the box looks great!!!"
Hes the unspoken secret.Poors dont shoot. Hell most gun owners dont shoot. Its extremely uncommon for somebody to put 2k though the same gun. Even people who use guns for a living like cops or the military. arent going to shoot 2k. Even if they are a shooter who competes all the ammo will be though a select few guns and they will have guns they thought were neat and only shot a few boxes through before going back to the main gun. Most turkshit will hold up for the few boxes of ammo a person will shoot.
The boomers selling them are holding a bag and are trying to offload them. They are down bad. Their wives no longer fuck them, so they want to metaphorically fuck you.>what the fuck is the turk endgame with this industry? They're cheap disposable shotguns for people who want cheap disposable guns and need more firepower than a hi point. A semi auto shotgun with a 20 round drum out the side of a nissan maxima has a lot of authority on a lick. Load with #4 buck and you don't even have to aim right on the ops.>can't understand how anybody defends themIt's a QC lottery. Some are quite workable but they'l never be as polished or reliable as a normal fucking shotgun. Youtubeslut #9393 will take the $500 to make a video from the seller, shoot it for thirty rounds, and call it good.
>guns made in American sweatshop at American prices: good>guns made in Turkish sweatshop at Turkish prices: bad
>>65544594YeahHigher chance the worker cares in the US
>>65544539i see these frequently on sale. my LGS of choice has not been in business as long as some others so getting those Benelli/LMT/high end partnerships won't happen. i personally would not but his answer is the clone turkshit market. guys are excited to get them until a few rounds of shooting them and then turn profit a few times by cycling in and out of the USED inventory. quality, functional, lasting units are a rarity among these.
>>65544594>>65544685>t. too young to remember the horrid quality from Century and Inter Ordnance.
>>65547548Ridiculed to this day for good reason and still remembered as SCUM!
I have a single-shot turk gun and its great. Love hitting the clays with it. A break action cant really be fucked up.
>>65547548Never shall I forget the RAS-47, nor shall any true AKfag. It has legitimately taken me years to accept US made AKs are no longer pipe bombs, yeah PSAK ain't no Vepr but it's also not a Riley Defense
>>65544539Well, there's 3 kinds of Turkshit shotguns, descending in quality. 1. First are contract guns made for foreign companies, with foreign QC inspectors/standards. For example a surprising number of lower-priced "entry level" Beretta/Benelli shotguns are made in Turkey, but the contract factories have Italian QC inspectors so they're pretty damn good. You can probably find a few minor/cosmetic differences but they function just as smoothly and reliably as an Italian gun. 2. Second are shotguns for domestic sale. Turkey has some wacky gun laws where rifles and handguns are super difficult to get LOICENCED for, but shotgun permits are effectively shall-issue, so there's a lot of 12 gauge AR/AK lookalikes because a lot of Turk shooters wanna be tacticool like Chris Costa but Erdogan won't let them so they cope with semi-auto shotguns in a funny outer shell. Since the customers are domestic and can raise a bigger legal stink over QC failures than foreigners, these guns tend to be very rough but reasonably serviceable/reliable once broken in. 3. Turkshit for export. Basically domestic guns that fail even their domestic QC standards and are offloaded on the foreign market at ridiculously low prices to try and recoup costs. Often sold by fly-by-night LLCs that never answer their CS line and vanish after 6 months, with names like BLACK ASS POKER CARD GAME TACTICAL ANAL DESTRUCTION PIRATE EYEPATCH BLACKFIRE EEEEEEEEE ANUS LIGMA LLC. If you see a cheap shotgun sold by a company that was effectively named by a 10-year old, they're offloading Turkshit QC failures by the bucketload. And that's it. Shitty Turkshit shotguns in the US are effectively QC failed guns (so extremely awful even by their standards) from their domestic production pool being offloaded overseas to make a quick buck. That's about it.
>>65544539Turk MP5s are good, but only because they are made on german tooling.
>>65547786Tooling doesn't matter. Genuinely. There's no magic sauce to HK's stamping or CHF machine. QC matters.
>>65547588>A break action cant really be fucked upDubs yes but it has a big fucking hinge which if engineered poorly/bad materials bet your fucking ass it will break, no pun intended.>>65547897>Tooling doesn't matter. What is worn out tooling?
>>65544539>what the fuck is the turk endgame with this industry?to make money
>>65548290>What is worn out tooling?Great question, would it be ancient HK hand me downs?
>>65547736>For example a surprising number of lower-priced "entry level" Beretta/Benelli shotguns are made in TurkeyNope, if a shotgun has the brand Beretta/Benelli then it's made in Italy or at most US. The only turkshit Beretta holdings distributes are sold under the name Stoeger. You'll NEVER find a single firearm with a Beretta/Benelli etc brand that is made or has components made in Turkey.t. work at Beretta in Gardone vt.
>>65544539The dude that thinks a 1000$ shotgun is expensive and buys the 300$ knockoff version doesn't shoot enough to run into any problems. They'll shoot a box of birshot once a year at most.
>>65544539>what the fuck is the turk endgame with this industry?
>>65544548>Poors dont shoot. I guess that's a fantasy of being +1 on people but ipso facto its totally irrelevant.
>>65544594Mehmet, my son...
>>65550914modern mall ninja shit; looks straight out of budK catalog
>>65547736QC is such a crucial step when you start getting serious about guns. I wonder if Orthos Arms' S4 (Turkish and USA components, USA QC'd) passes the vibe check just on QC alone.
The pistols are genuinely good for the money but the shotguns always have a weird feeling to them
>>65544539>Turkshit pistolsGOOD>Turkshit shotgunsBADwhat boomers are we talking OP? If they're customers they're just cheapasses or on fixed incomes like 99% of boomers and, like most poors, want to feel validated in their purchases. If it's the staff, it's because they're selling a shit load of them, because as others have mentioned here, most gun owners are cheap asses and don't shoot, poors want guns too, and everyone is fucking broke right now.
>>65544543>"just got it out of the box looks great!!!"I fucking HATE reviews like this. They should all be auto deleted. Just found (unsurprisingly) a review on PSA like that. Clown behavior
>>65547595How do American made AKa rank today? Who's on top? Excluding custom shops of course
>>65553640You'll see shit like that everywhere. People are just too fucking hyped to tell everyone they bought something. On sites where you can rate reviews, they get ruthlessly downvoted. MidwayUSA and Primary Arms are great sites for that lmao
>>65553621>>Turkshit pistols>GOOD
>>65553669Meridian seems okay. They just released an AK-100 clone at the start of the summer. Not really heard anything about them since their launch which, to me, means they are doing okay. Because if there was one shilltuber that had even a broken firing pin nobody would shut up about it.
>>65554119Meridian's guns are top quality but ultra fucking expensive because they are a boutique.
>>65553800Not the anon you replied to, but Turk 1911s and Hi Powers are good.
>>65553512There have been decent Benelli clones coming outta Turkey - like Sulun's M4, some of the better M2 clones, and the Orthos. But the Orthos is a damn near $1500 clone. Yeah it runs but you can get a real Benelli M3 or an M2-G1 or a used 1301 or A300. Or just save up a few hundred more for an actual M4.The Raider S4 should be $999 - but because they developed the unique stock, rail, safety etc on top of "good" turkish QC it just doesn't hit the price point it needs to
>>65554139*Decent as in its going to need some polish and a benelli extractor, maybe a mag tube spring to approach 100%
>>65544539>from a turkish countryTell us more about these Turkish countries.
>>65554134No more pricey than a Beryl or SAM-5. But yeah if you just want a 5.56 AK Zastava is probably the way to go.
>>65554147Turkey, North Cyprus and Azerbaijan
>>65554139>decent benelli cloneswtf does decent mean? like you get a 10% chance of it being a complete turd instead of a 50% chance? turkish shotguns just suck shit; stay the fuck away. buy american or italian and dont think twice. and good luck getting someone like SDS who is fighting with themselves to get warranty action>i work at a gun store and handle RMAs
>>65554176Northern Cypriots are just misguided Greeks.
IDK but I like my Tisas 1911 stakeout. It's pretty much my ideal 1911 setup with the sights and ring hammer.
