As the title says, what are some good modern camo options that has some resistance to relevant stuff like Infrared observation?Pic related is for the Norwegian military and is sold to hunters and birdwatchers because its nice and warm when you are sitting in nature, but apparantly has lower observability in IR spectrum thanks to the loose fit and metal reflective layer. How good is a ghillie suit with live vegetation attached to it? Any other good modern options?
Unless you're sealed in a vaccum the heat is going to get out sooner or later and you are going to receive BDC(big drone cock)
>>65549744Yeah but hot air is not visible on IR cameras. There is plenty of war footage in Ukraine where men appear to be using simple metal-mylar blankets and they are less visible on IR than you would expect.
>>65551507As I understand it it works pretty damn well for a few hours before you begin to look like a Christmas tree again.
>>65551507>larper copeHot air is exactly what drones can seeThere is NOWHERE you can hide from drones used by actual professionals in law enforcement and the military unless you’re prepared to carry around a car windshield lmaoIt’s always funny when ziggers come to /k/ and try to groom domestic threats with their delusions
>>65549057against thermal, standoff is your friendit's better to hang antithermals a foot over you with a draft passing under it if you canotherwise you want 3d items that stick away from your body and stay coolerso yes natural vegetation on your ghilie is good but any visible base level suit under it will still be glowingmore helpful then the camo is the surrounding area, areas with a lot of different thermal masses will make you less obvious a mix of vegetation, warm rocks and water/mud with a tree canopy overtop is great, in a field of snow you are fucked

>>65551638Kind of like hiding under a properly rigged tarp with IR reflective fabric? It's not hard to put vegetation on a tarp thankfully, or placing it in a mixed environment.I guess you could use bungee cables to hang it for extra fast setup and takedown.
>>65553203yeah, if drones are a concern, whenever you're not moving you should be under thermal camo netting or indoors
