Thank YHWH that the industry is so oversaturated and that basically all barriers of entry to suppressor ownership have been removed. For far too long, suppressor manufacturers have been able to overcharge by 250% at least for what is essentially just a metal tube, just because of the commitment (and $200 tip) required. And people were happy to pay it.

But things are different. The sorts of prices we are seeing now would have been unthinkable even 3 years ago. Everyone who wants a suppressor pretty much has one. The question is, how much lower will we see prices go? I know Europoors get $50 no-frills direct thread aluminum cans for hunting rifles which never get too hot. Do you think we're ever going to see it that low?

Someone needs to corner the market on Form 1 kits.

yes for that exact reason, some fudd is gonna get one for his durr rifle.

some based liberal will make it a law requiring supressors for hunting, making everything more based.

still not gonna celebrate until we don't have to register them
anyone with a brain would move for them to be unrestricted indefinitely

Anyone with a brain not addicted to krokodil wouldn’t want American style school shootings and swivel eyed wackos to start using suppressors and get them banned again for serious collectors?

That's not left. Left is power from the system; Stalinism Moaism, Fascism, National Socialism.
Right is power in the individual. Anarchism is as far right as you can get.
Stop buying the bullshit of classifying political spectrum based on social issues stances.
A constitutional republic of pure misogynists or one of pure feminists is still a consitutional republic.
>>
>>65550430
Fascism is the authoritarian right as shown by they economically right policies like privatizing banking.
Communism is the authoritarian left as shown by their economically left polices like the nationalization of banking.

I'm an economically left social libertarian that wants people to have maximal freedom while natural monopolies and banking are nationalized.
The 1950s which many understand to have had the highest level of economic freedom for the working class were built of socialist economic policy like the 90%+ top tax bracket.

This ain't /pol/ as I won't elaborate beyond that.
>>
>>65550454
I wonder what else we had in the 50s that allowed the material and social conditions everyone enjoyed and wants back?

>>
>>65550466
All the economic policy in the world isn't going to stop someone getting stabbed on the subway. That social strain creates its own economic knock-on effects. All economics is downstream of whether or not you have a homogenous society.
>>
>>65550258
Leftoids have passed AWBs blanket banning threaded muzzles as a spooky feature so you can'thave any muzzle device on the gun yoj have to weld on a brake. I know New Jersey has a ban, so does New York, and Washington. A few other states probably do too.
>>
>>65550474
Crime rates have drastically reduced from the 50s mainly because everyone isn't breathing lead all day.
The media plays it up because fear drives views but check some stats and see for yourself instead of falling for propaganda.
As things get worse for the working class I expect crime rates to start increasing again out of desperation and that kind of crime can 100% be fixed with economic policy.
>>
>>65550480
Literally no economic policy is going to prevent someone with an IQ of 80 from harming others over perceived slights or schizophrenic hallucinations. The only thing that will is physical and social separation. You are a deluded freak moron who will be burned upon the pyre of the very god you worship. May God have mercy on your soul.

>Literally no economic policy is going to prevent someone with an IQ of 80 from harming others over perceived slights or schizophrenic hallucinations
Correct, I never said it would. What would help in that case would be a well funded public mental health program, of course you want to minimize the cost of such a program so having it publicly owned and operated means no stock dividends or buybacks reducing total cost.

Remind me, what's it called when the state owns things they provide at no direct cost to the public?

Top row is literal who of suppressor companies... but your point is valid. We should really see the price of trad design SS/Aluminum baffle stack non-modular suppressors begin to plummet, especially as these things hopefully continue down the path of deregulation.

That said, 3d printed Ti and Inconel suppressors will still likely stay just as expensive as they have been. The R&D + the waste generated by the printing process means they're natively much more expensive than water jet & cnc stuff.

tldr; Sure your YHM and Gemtech stuff will probably get cheaper, but don't expect your CATs and Huxworks to get cheaper any time soon.

You're thinking about dentists and your teeth, Anon.

t. guy with eight medically unnecessary fillings because my childhood dentist wanted to make his Mercedes payments.

P.S. -- I should note, after he retired and I had to dentist-hop for a while, three more dentists tried pulling the same scam -- "You have a cavity that needs to be drilled and filled!!!" then next dentist says "What cavity?? There's no cavity." Repeat multiple times as I hop through multiple dentists. . . .

Looks like a good place to ask.
What's a good option for babby's first AR suppressor? I've got a 16" AR-15 in 5.56. but I've also got an AR-10 that I'd like a can on too. I'm game for getting separate suppressors over time, but my budget isn't unlimited. Just looking for something dependable and functional.

Welcome to 2026. I'm not paying $800+ for your rollmark, I'm buying from the new upstarts with reasonable prices that will put you out of business.

I'm not exaggerating here. A lot of these companies can, should, and will go out of business in the coming years. Because they're inefficient boutique brands run by greedy retards who can't adapt to the new breed of companies optimizing production at scale and price to consumer. And if your business can't survive without a 300% margin, frankly you deserve a lot worse than bankruptcy.

Word, here in Europe you used to see every gunsmith turn out their own suppressors. Although what happened here was that the gunsmith special suppressor kind of died off since the big companies could make better ones cheaper

Off-topic: I see this in the whiskey industry. I've visited a lot of distilleries and tried A LOT of whiskeys. Whiskey made by big corporations like Buffalo Trace and Diageo is better AND cheaper 90% of the time.
>>
> if your business can't survive without a 300% margin
Then it wouldn’t be margin. If you can’t survive without it, it’s a cost of business

Suppressors are the only NFA item that kits are actually regulated in law. For everything else constructive possession is just DoJ guidance. I don't think you'll see form 1 kits until suppressors are off the NFA
>>

If you're swapping between 556 and 7.62:
Cheap:
>OCL Polo 30
Middleground:
>LPM Anthem S2
'Spensive (not in any particular order):
>OCL Infinity (heavy tho)
>Huxworks 7.62 Ti
>CAT ODB or CAT Alleycat 7.62

Any of the above will have fine suppression on 556 while tolerating 7.62/308. Go HUB instead of proprietary mounting so that you can easily swap between host rifles.

Thanks for the spread. I'll look into those.

>>65549430
As production increases, the cost to produce the next unit goes down. Companies like ruger and savage keep bolt action prices down, the AR companies keep AR-15s cheap and now companies that have the machines will run them 24/7 to crank out suppressors. Eventually it'll become like europe where companies like B&T sell ultra-specific suppressors, basically each gun getting its own suppressor. Your hunting rifle will get a large reflex aluminum suppressor, your ar-15 will either get a flow through or a simple k-can with low backpressure characteristics and your pistols will either have an ultralight can or 9mm traditional can with a nielsen device. Universal suppressors won't go away, but the catalog of available designs will explode and costs will drop.

I actually bet a democrat would argue that suppressors should be required for hunting so you don't needlessly damage your ears all because he was sad his grandpa couldn't ever hear him well and the loud gunshot also scared him.

>certain crime rates

recidivism is down simply due to higher incarceration and conviction rates; simple as. freakonimics tried to push this myth and it turns out people dont steal or commit crime because they are hungry and poor, they do it because they are pieces of shit and no rehabilitation fixes it; so with new tech comes less of a chance they can commit crime repeatedly

turns out its something like less than 1% of a population that commits the majority of bad crime. removing these bad actors is what reduces the majority of crime stats.

pretty sure in a few years suppressor specific brands and companies will likely go under as market share falls back into the hands of the firearms maker; since brands like glock and ruger will simply include a suppressor with the gun for an extra $100-150 since the suppressor costs $40 to make at most

You'll have to do some digging for the post/data, but there are a significantly higher number of failed manufacturing in print suppressors vs typical machine/SS suppressors. All it takes is a minor error on the print and you've got an entire batch of suppressors that aren't suitable for retail and have to be discarded. That's why those first batches of SAW cans were so fucky.
