I like .38 Special better than .45 ACP or .45 Colt. I tried liking them, but they just feel like throwing golf balls. I like throwing marbles.

For me it’s .357
>>65551776Nothing wrong with .357. It’s great in fact. I like my Taurus 85. I’d like to have a S&W Model 10 with a 4 or 5” barrel someday though. One thing I like about .38 over .357 is you get a slightly smaller frame.
>>65551816You can get .357 in a j frame, but your hands will pay for it.
is it because you cant afford a 45acp revolver?
>>65551859So this is just my experience. I’ve never shot one. I would be open to trying one however. Years ago I had a 1911. I just wasn’t a fan of .45 ACP. Last year, I bought a SAA in .45 Colt. My issue with 45 calibers is the same. I don’t know what it is. Shooting 45 just doesn’t feel fun to me. I’m shooting a big chunk of lead that from my experience doesn’t seem to penetrate very well when compared to 38’s. Don’t get me wrong, I have a black powder rifle in 45, and shooting 12 gauge slugs are fun. However from MY personal experience, 45 cal pistols just don’t do it for me. I’m totally open to the fact that it may have just been the cheap ammo I was using. I couldn’t say for sure really.
>>65551662I occasionally look at charter guns, it's surprising how little the price has gone up since whenever this was printed.
>>65551922what are you shooting at that you are conducting penetration tests on?
>>65551150Hell yeah.
>>65552263Yeah, I was looking earlier and they’re very reasonably priced from what I could see. I’d like to know how they compare in size to say a Taurus 85 in .38.>>65552270Typically me missing a milk jug and digging the bullets out of the dirt in front of the target. But I’ve also shot stuff like microwaves, old dryers, and whatnot.
>>65551150Why are manufacturers allergic to actual sights on snubs? Smith released the 632 with actual sights on it and people (paid shills) chimped out like it was some magic thing when its how it should always be
>>65551822It’s so fucking fun bro who cares. Haha fireball
