So I'm going to a local gun show in rural KY and I have no idea what I should look out for desu.Last year I picked up pic rel, a 29-2 that has obviously been refinished for $800. It's an ugly duckling compared to a normal blued one, but I love it all the same, not once have I regretted the purchase.Other pick ups include a Walther P1 for $600, and a PTR91 for $800.I love going there and looking for weird stuff and good deals, but my collection has filled out over the years and I don't really have anything that I'm fiending over currently.Looking for recommendations on what to look out for, bonus points if its in the Girls Frontline index, but I took a look earlier and didn't really see much that I didn't already own and would still be reasonable findable at a large KY gun show. Would prefer a long gun, I have enough pistols as is.

Cost of living is among the lowest in the country and you're never more than an hour's drive to whatever activity or amenity you can conceive of. There's a surprising amount of jobs relating to all kinds of industries here. I worked for a while at a tech startup in Lexington before getting a better gig doing materials research out in the west of the commonwealth, and leveraging that experience to get my current job in academia. I have friends in mining, car manufacturing, chemical engineering, aerospace, and medical technology, among other things. If you're looking to move here you won't have too much trouble finding a job in your industry, whatever it may be.The people are comparatively friendly based on what I've experienced in the rest of the US and the world. Despite our reputation for being belligerent cousin fucking white trash, people are generally nice and polite. Even our nogs are much better behaved compared to what I experienced in the other parts of the country. The only thing you may find irksome is there are a lot of very performatively religious people here, as in, people that have nothing going on in their lives BUT their church. This can lead to a lot of evangelical virtue signalling (restricting the sale of alcohol on sundays, spergouts over sex-ed/evolution, banning short sex dolls, etc.), but it's mostly harmless and even that is slowly fading away as the boomers die off.

I still need to go over them with sandpaper, then retouch and water proof them, then add end caps. I might save fingers for later and work on bigger pieces, so that I can have something with more mass. Still, it's cool to bend the finger. It has about the right amount of resistance. No clue how much wear and tear it can endure over years.There's a pretty substantial niche on youtube of women who make their own dolls, small sized. I don't know if ball joints held together with elastic line works at a larger scale, but I might try anyway.
