Happy for you free state guys. Unfortunately I live in NC. I hope there'll be some amendment to our state laws soon.

>GOA members
How long until this also goes away?

Joining a club to bypass regulation is just about the most Washington thing I can imagine, but it still feels wrong.
>>
>>65554620
I imagine this will become a major state issue in the next two election cycles as more statistics roll in and smaller shops open up to flood the market with glorified oil filters with a baffle stack to tap into the growing suppressor demand
Perhaps new companies form entirely as a result. Hope your state wises up and this becomes an issue to vote on!

Free states only but it's a wedge that will definitely be driven further into NFA states as now you have GOA members, who are now being denied their rights. Which is another lawsuit.
And it snow balls from there, much like how we got to this point in the first place.
>>
>>65555590

>>65555625
Not explicitly, what it does do though is open the door for a very winnable case that will lead to nationwide implementation. It's a matter of when, not if.

>>
>>65555625
>Does this have any sort of nationwide ramifications
Not as much as people seem to hope. The decision turned on the definition of "tax", The only time the 2nd amendment came up was the judge explicitly stating that it was not considered in his decision.
>>
So im stupid and cant interpret this, does this mean I can legally put a stock on a handgun making it an SBR without any paperwork like its any other kind of attachment? I understand this is very new info but it both says everything and nothing.

>>65555004
Colorado was famously purple not 20 years ago so I'm not sure what you're talking about. You had obnoxious pockets of delusional hippies in places like Boulder and Aspen, but overall it was pretty middle of the road. Obviously that has changed with the insane amounts of people moving in from California, and the entire state has basically circled the drain because of that. I wish Idaho the best of luck as it goes through the same unfortunate transition, for the exact same reason no less. You do not hate Californians enough.
>>
>>65554602
>>65554633
Enforcement agencies can't simply make it policy to not enforce the law against certain people. This is an implicit acknowledgement that the registration requirement of the NFA is unconstitutional in the absence of the tax.
>But that only helps your lawyer win the case after they've already arrested you!
And strictly speaking, there is nothing preventing the ATF from illegally arresting a GOA member, just the knowledge that they're guaranteed to lose in court after choosing not to appeal this decision.
>>
>>65554718
>>65555478
I wonder what would be the ramifications to these laws if this gets overturned by the Supreme Court
>>
>>65555919
SCOTUS has a major gun rights case this term. While the question doesn't involve suppressors, the holding very well could have a positive impact.
https://www.scotusblog.com/cases/viramontes-v-cook-county/
>>
>>65555898
> just the knowledge that they're guaranteed to lose in court after choosing not to appeal this decision.
Nothing is ever guaranteed in litigation. You think a federal district court ruling is permanently binding? Roe v. Wade was binding nationwide for over 50 years until one day SCOTUS changed its mind. It wouldn't even take a supreme court decision to overturn Silencer Shop v. DOJ. The DOJ should have fought this up to the supreme court while the getting is good, but now things will just lie low for a few years until the dems are back in power and then it'll be re-litigated under much less favorable conditions.
>>
>>65555717
>You do not hate Californians enough.
I am a Californian and I DETEST Californians.
I can't get away from these faggots soon enough. I even get mad when I see California license plates when I am out of state. Seriously, fuck California. Next year is the year.
>>
>>65555946
>until one day SCOTUS changed its mind
That's a gross oversimplification of the legal battle around Roe. Casey v. Planned Parenthood exists, Anon.
>>
>>65555960
Yes, but the point is even well established precedent can be overturned. While the reasoning behind SS v. DOJ is straightforward, the practical effect is a radical reinterpretation of 92 years of firearms law. The idea that it's a fait accompli for all time because the DOJ decided not to appeal a district court ruling is absolutely asinine. I would very much like to see the NFA overturned, and I see this as a positive step in that direction, but this is not a done deal. It will 100% without a doubt be re-litigated at some point, and depending on how the courts are stacked when that happens, there's a very real chance it will be reversed.

If the ATF were to arrest a GOA member for illegally manufacturing a suppressor, the arrest would itself be an illegal violation of the injunction regardless of the legal status of the NFA.

Because despite what you've heard, of high taxes and legal weed, gun ownership is very ingrained across all aspects and demographics in the state of VT.
Distant relatives live there and, as an example, after moving houses a while back and doing target practice the first time, their neighbor came out to bitch at them and called the cops. Idiot neighbor actually went ionto their land. Well, cop shows up, asks what's going on, and as soon as they pointed out the neighbor came onto their land, stopped right their, and turned to give the neighbor an earful for doing something really stupid as going into some elses land. Dont mess with people's land or guns up in VT. The cops will set the level fast when it comes to your rights at home.

This is a meme. The faggots from California who like its liberalism aren't generally the ones moving away from it.
The actual issue is that Democrats are going through a long and ongoing Pelosification to ostracize anyone who doesn't have AWFL political views, so being a pro-2A liberal is more or less social and political suicide now.
>>

there are plenty of libtards (and moderates/centrists) who are fleeing California due to cost of living or another issue, but then vote for the same damn thing.

No one is even allowed to see a tax stamp, except for an ATF agent or the IRS if you were getting audited. Cops, fudds, and ROs legally cannot ask to see them. Amd even if an ATF agent asked to see your stamps, federal law requires them to give you up to a week to go fetch them and show them.

>yeah we're doing this (no NFA bullshit for suppressors, sbrs, sbss, aows, etc) in all 50 states kthx bye
And thus solve the issues for the "NFA states" >>65554718?
>>
>>65557254
Straight up not true. Anyone can ASK to see your stamp. But you aren’t REQUIRED by federal law to show it to them.

But of course, that doesn’t matter because many states also have NFA adjacent laws on the books, they just throw in an “except in accordance with federal law” exception.
>>
>>65555919
I'm not quite sure. I can only imagine they'd have to be null and void because they cannot be adhered to. Nevada's law states you need an NFA item to be registered with the Treasury, which is your tax stamp, in order to possess an NFA item. If the tax stamp is now (or will be) gone completely, you no longer can follow the law. It would have to end up being the case of "Question 1" from the 2016 election, where universal background checks were passed into law but was made unenforceable as soon as it passed because the FBI said they wouldn't or legally couldn't adhere to it
>>
>>65557860
No chance of that, the issue is state law they have no control over. From what we're hearing about the guidance it's probably going to be pretty low key confirmation of the legality of the things covered under the ruling. Its probably not even going to cover most of the questions we still have but may remove the form 4 requirements for ffls to transfer sbrs and remove the travel restrictions.
>>

>>65557953
RIP me then. PA has some funky shit where it says if you want an NFA item, you have to "comply with federal law." The big question is if the ATF issued guidance allowing 4473 suppressors and no form 1 for SBRs, how the hell would that interact with PA law.
>>

>>
>>65558610
What the fuck is a white Hispanic? That's like saying "white non-white."
>>
>>65558624
Technically, Spaniards are Hispanic, and many South Americans are descended from them. Consider the importance of race early in US history and the sorts out Hispanics they'd interact with. Show an average American from 1800 an affluent Mexican businessman with mostly European ancestry and ask whether he's black or white, and the answer is obviously not going to be black. 200+ years later, race has an entirely different meaning, and most people's conception of a Hispanic person is someone with mostly native ancestry, but Hispanics have traditionally been included with whites and no one can really define what "white" means anyway. Are anglos white? Are slavs white? Are jews white?
>>
>>65558723
If you have blue or green eyes, you're white.
>>
>>65557860
>thus solve the issues for the "NFA states"
That's not how it works. Even now NFA lets you manufacture a transferrable machine gun (not a dealer sample) as long as you register it. The ATF just won't let you register it. The ATF not letting you register other NFA items would not suddenly invalidate those laws that require registration.
>>

The map says otherwise unfortunately. We don't even have constitutional carry...
>>
>>65561053
The permits are gay, but we don't have to get purchase permits anymore. You can also open carry no permit. We can own any config of rifle/pistol anyone else can. We aren't the best, but we're far from Hawaii or New York.

Lazy fucks are dragging ass.
I'll bet the life of my dog that they don't issue a statement.

Also to that fuckwit who say overturning the nfa wouldn’t matter because the court will just reverse it when different justices take over that reversals on cases only happened at 1%

Well, he's doing that shitty pseud tjing where he makes a technically true but worthless statement
Yeah, the senate can reinstate the tax. Yeah, the ruling could get reversed later. All SORTS of shit COULD happen, but the probability it DOES happen is another story entirely, and no reason to hesitate to enjoy the victory now and push for more

MN has a very strange patchwork of gun politics. It's fucking stupid at times but good God I'm reminded of how much worse it could be every time I hear libs around here

Yeah. I could. I have extended family there who could help me lay down new roots

Also imagine the tantrum and mental gymnastics that would come out when this is actually overturned federally

Personally I think that states that have constitutional carry but still issue ccws to make them last for life and give full nfa exemption to all holders

That would be nice. The CCW permit in my state allows for a transfer without using the NICS as long as the permit is valid and not been suspended or expired.

Russians want out gun laws loosened actually because then they can sell us surplus again; doesn't make them our friends overall, nation interests just dont align, but on guns they either dont care at all or want them loosened
>>
>>65563159
Even if import laws got loosened again, it is doubtful they'd have surplus to sell with the war in Ukraine and what not
Which is also the reason sanctions got slapped on them in the first place; aggression in Ukraine during the Obama regime

>the arrest would itself be an illegal violation of the injunction regardless of the legal status of the NFA.
I'm sure you can explain that to Agent Goldblatt while you await your trial for the next 5 years in a federal prison; good luck with your case, hope youre rich
>>
>>65563169
Nah they still have gazillion of guns they could sell even after the loss of their monkey units

Not to mention big firms like Tula would love to be able to actually profit on production for once in a century

Yankees are worse than Califags and I'm tired of pretending theyre not. The Califag stereotype came from yankees mass migrating there. I've met, on average, way cooler califags than yankees.

Tl/dr. I’m a goa member, can I order a fucking can to my ffl without nfa cuckery or not? Fucking government dragging its goddamn heels

I did that with a FFL that openly stated they are completing with the injunction and ruling as it applies to GOA members and they said yes, 4473 only for active GOA members + transfer fee

>the practical effect is a radical reinterpretation of 92 years of firearms law
No it isn't. The SilencerShop decision was purely about tax law, not gun law. The judge made this very explicit in his decision.
>>
>>65563436
How do you prove you're a goa member? The hat?
>>
>>65563145
>god I hate my own people sometimes like wake the fuck up idiots
It's the inevitable backlash of our inherent niceness and benevolence. Allow whites to live away from minorities and they'll believe whatever propaganda about them that the kikes can feed em because it's the "nice" way to think.

I honestly suspect that even if we deported every single nonwhite in this country tomorrow and constitutionally enshrined that this country must remain 95%+ white as a cornerstone, wypipo would just forget why this was important within 3 generations and we'd be well on our way back to modern jew controlled globohomo.

Your GOA account contains your Membership Number which is different from the unique backend ID for account recovery and other stuff
It's on the Member Dashboard page and the first thing on that page is a digital version of the GOA Member Card with

Gun Owners of America
Membership Level (Ex: Annual)
Your Name
Member Number
Active Until (Expiration Date)

The Member Number is really all they need to see
>>
If you become a GOA member today do you still get the benefits of the ruling?

The last half of 2026 will be the peak of gun freedoms in America. It WILL be down hill from here. Celebrate it while you can.
