Talk me out of CCing 22 WMR
>>
>>65554714
>that group
Yikes. No clue on the distance but I sincerely hope that this was far away.

Also I looked up the place on the target, it costs $25 to shoot 12 rounds. Let us be thankful that most of us here are American.
>>
>>65554735
As a backup gun, good round. .22WMR > .22LR = .25ACP as a rule when it comes to mouse guns. That said it depends on what gun with .22WMR you are carrying. NAA revolver or Bond Arms Stinger Fireball? Good choice if your main gun fails. Aim for the face. If you are talking about a semi-auto or something like a Single Six, no, too big to be a backup gun.
>>
>>65554735
No, that one is fine. Just don't go with 17. Ideally get a revolver in 22 wmr, the Achilles' heel of rimfire is that sometimes they just have a dud, more often than primer cups. So if that happens, on revolver you just pull the trigger, on auto you have to clear it.
>>
>>65554745
What if I carry 2 NAA revolvers

Shoot one out of each hand lel. But in all seriousness, fairly retarded (like 90% retarded), just not completely retarded, get something at least .32 (preferably larger) as a main arm. If you want low recoil look for higher weight. Carrying a CZ75 or a 92FS is better than two dinky NAAs.

Speaking of mouse guns, I saw a Tanfoglio GT 27, which did catch my eye until I saw the name Excam. I don't know much about this gun, but I do know to avoid anything branded Excam (SNS tier garbage). What I want to know is what prices do the pre-1968 ones fetch? Is it about the same? I couldn't find anything in the 20 minutes of research that I have done.

I put the old slide back on, I'll just send this off to get milled. I witness market the sights before taking them off so when I put them back on it didn't take any adjusting. I brought the sight pusher for no reason.
>>
>>65554800
Actually wouldn't be a bad idea if NAA released a set of two one with black and one with white grips. Honestly would be something that they would do, they have a surprising number of options that are aesthetically pleasing. I am doing fairly well for myself so I am tempted to maybe get another gun for a birthday gift for myself, though I am already going to order one this weekend.
>>65554807
Kek. My range looks a bit like that but has actual benches that are padded and with a tray instead of a plastic "barf bucket". Again, wtf is that grouping in the pic LMAO.

If you have the money... https://wpolah.com/ is a firm that makes a lot of pinfire replicas. They can be pricey, though. and also the cost of ammo is astronomical, don't be surprised at $1 per round. The good news is the ATF considers this a signalling device.

Focus on your trigger squeeze. It’s going to take practice, but you’re trying to make as linear of a pull as you can. Once your finger memorizes it, it’ll not only improve your revolver shooting, but all your shooting.

Don't be gentle on the trigger. Get the first segment of your finger all the way around it, and pull the trigger in one swift motion. If that is throwing your sights around, do a lot of dry fire practice until the gun remains still through the whole trigger pull.

Arex is amazing for the price, and good on it's own merits. The standard arex zero 1 is about $400 compared to sig 226s currently running just shy of $1k. The SA trigger on the arex is better than the 226 SA trigger pull, but the arex DA trigger is MUCH worse. The Arex zero 1 is designed for bigger hands, if you don't have large paws you will have a much worse time. The zero 2 fixed that ergonomic issue but are twice as expensive. Lok grips make the mag release and slide release easier to actuate if you don't have very long fingers and are generally better contoured and obviously better textured. ANR makes a great holster for carry, polenar tactical makes an amazing aftermarket trigger, and mags are generally cheap when they come in once or twice a year for restock. Right now the 18 and 20 round mags are all sold out, but it appears there was a restock on the 15 round compact mags.

I fucking love this thing, it's my second favorite pistol. I like it so much I bought a second tactical model to put a red dot and suppressor on.

I'm sure you know this is a long discussion that we had for over 100 times now, but we really don't have to go there.
40 meets major pf, 9mm meets minor pf only. After an established history of top level competitions, it was found out that 9mm is easier to shoot faster. Whether or not that makes 40 better or worse doesn't matter here, it just recoils more and same shooter will perform slower with it. It's kind of like optics divisions exist. There is no argument which one makes people perform better.

tiny bit more complicated, off duty police officer carrying without one in the pipe, since twin falls is a relatively nice white town (I made pilgrimage), did not draw his gun prior to making contact since he did not want to be confused with the shooter by any other first responders (very valid thing to do, desu, several accidents have happened)

Should have been carrying with it chambered in the first place or even just checked it BEFORE going to risk contact with the shooter.

Did they ever confirm 100 percent that he didn’t hit him? He said he flinched pretty hard. I imagine it just freaked him out that little bullets were wizzing past him from seemingly nowhere.
This little event makes me also consider that a suppressed Ruger mk iv with cci mini mags (supremely reliable setup)would probably be pretty good carry piece if you don’t mind hunking it around, which is almost functionally the same thing as what that guy had besides the rest of his mag being supersonic and being way more expensive.

Ulvade is a very very black mark on police, but there are different breeds of cops - the people who do it as a job, it was their only path out of highschool. the same people that would just follow orders and enforce unconstitutional mandates without a second thought. Then there are cops who really protect and serve, there's a cop that ran into a burning building to save a family before the firefighters could arrive semi recently, the cops that responded to the louisville bank mass shooting, the first two on the scene was a guy and a trainee, they got their rifles and ran to the scene and the trainee got one to the neck immediately. Nashville mass shooting, first guys onto the scene started clearing the entire building without waiting for back up and ventilated that tranny.

dry fire dry fire dry fire, try to think of different ways of pulling the trigger straight back without disturbing the sights. try constant pressure as you move back (imagining finger position) or ramping up the pressure (count to 5, 5 being the highest) as you pull and then count and do it faster (imagining it as pressure).

the massive trigger pull until hitting the first wall was also unexpected, that's a long pull

Fortunately, my job affords me several weekdays off.
>>
damn spent a lot of money lately
2 pistols, thousands of rounds, holsters, cleaning, tools
i am crying

i shoot tomorrow.

I just bought a shit ton of ammo too, it’s okay ;)

Don't have a Glock and don't have a dotted pistol. Are Glock COA's good to go, or what dot would you recommend I put on a regular Gen 6?
>>
>>65557820
Look on the bright side, you got ammo and guns!

Had to scrub the range trip because of a dying alternator and I won't go today nor tomorrow because the outdoor place restricts shooting to hour-and-a-half reservations on weekends. That might sound like enough of a block but you're not allowed to replace targets for 15 minutes so 66% of that time will be spent waiting before and during a 2-5 minute cease fire.

I’ve heard good things about the COA, but you should also consider a 507 Comp or 507 Pro Max if you want to be a window-maxxer.

I’m still on the fence about enclosed vs open emitters. I can understand the argument for both 3bh.
>>
>>65558272
COA package is a good deal imo
>>
First USPSA match

Shooting limited OP with Nighthawk Predator, was first in the order and said it’s my first match, so pushed to the end. Got the best run of the squad and looked like a massive ass hole. Most expensive gun here too. Last thing I did I was with an atlas Artemis guy so I didn’t look like money bags.

>>65558272
COA.
>>
>>65557751
You lost the bet
I had a handgun shooting slump for like a year and a half but now my mojo's back
The downside is that the only stance that enables me to hit shit is modified Weaver, but hey, the shooting was pretty decent

Colt MIRS being delivered today but I am fearful it will be too large on everything I have.

am i dumb why did it lock back when he cleared the fte? shouldn't it chamber the next round on its own without him having to hit the slide release?
>>
>>65558536
I tried teacupping my BHP for the lulz last time I was at the range. It's actually surprisingly stable if you're just shooting at bullseyes but I wouldn't make it my mainstay. Beats shooting one-handed anyway
>>
>>65558493
Also shooting fully occluded. I am target focused. See target, shoot target, if you aren’t shooting occluded you are deluded.

Fucked up the classifier since I ran out of ammo and never practiced a weak hand reload. And took a miss. C.
>>
>>65558493
That's pretty cool tho. How do you feel about it overall?

>>
>>65558590
USPSA?

If you have the ability you need to be doing it. Dont worry about being too bad, the targets aren’t that far, but it will show you how bad you are and what you need to work on. IDPA was filled with slow boomers while USPSA was all dudes good at shooting.

However today for me all I need to work on is not being a fuck up or using 140mm mags like everyone else. I had solid HF times until the classifier, I was using a 126mm MecGar and I think I would be B or better even if I had just a few more bullets in the mag. I also need to squad with A or better so I can watch how they shoot. I was ~17.5 + a miss on the classifier since I figured my weak hand reload would be longer than the 5 second penalty, other shooters were 20.5+ on the classifier. I finally understand capacity maxxing, I had felt more than 15 rounds was a non issue since you could just reload, however that classifier to go the pace I did I couldn’t reload. If I got those 22 round MecGar 140mm…

I could have beat some time by making the tennis sound and running like old Ben.

This is going to keep me up at night. I should get some meta glasses so I can post footage

any, it may replace my ACRO, my EPS, if it's good it might replace all my optics. I was just about to send a 1911/2011 slide to be machined for a COA (versus a plate system with a ACRO plate). this thing is cheaper than a COA + cut by half.

Sorry, a hair taller, however despite not being much taller than window is definitely overall bigger.

EPS as far as I can tell is wider than the COA which is a bit more forgiving? I have been training with my COA for the past few months.

EPS Carry, Also here is the dot, which probably tells you guys nothing. To my tism the dot looks fine, typical dot with a slight start burst.

Battery cap is metal, I've already marred it.

Just confirmed, yes.
>9mm battery tray
Just confirmed, yes. I was able to rotate the tray and adjust both windage and elevation with a 9mm case.
>>

Can the COA do that? Because the ACRO can’t (plastic cap)

No, aimpoint decided to be noses. The battery tray uses a star pattern (torx? 6 points) driver as do the windage/elevation screws. Here is the tool that colt includes. They forgot the microfiber towel which is referenced in their instructions. Also I'm sorry for the shitty lighting, I never have good lighting at my desk.
>>
>>65558868
I plan on picking up a steiner MPS 2.0 next and ideally when I have some more cash to burn the PA pistol dot. I was hoping to get an AEMS Micro but Holosun seems to be on indian delivery schedules (half a year late). Also primary arms really does not want to discount their dot, I guess they have to keep it at 700 dollars as margins are slim?

Marina Amatsu’s parifate showcase 4, her photobooks have some nice images but are her and the photographer trying to be artsy, the parifate showcase is her showcasing parifate lingerie and swimwear and much better. To buy you had to be in the fanclub…

I used this guy to buy them, messaged him on eBay, negotiated a price and now I’m in possession of rare pictures of some Japanese woman. Most of the images eventually get posted online as product images, don’t think anyone has scanned the art books.
