Thoughts on the mortar as a home defense weapon? Not as your only firearm, of course, but to complement the rifle.
>>65557088Perhaps viable for the lulz if you have 100+ acres of rough/wooded land. But it's hard to see how the average anon could employ a mortar defensively.
>>65557088Sounds good to me but I think the neighbours might complain>>65557094>how the average anon could employ a mortar defensively. To break up large groups of infantry in the open and engage targets behind cover
>>65557094I own a mountain peak with clear lines of sight and only one dirt road leading to it. Studies show that the average burglar will avoid breaking into houses whose approaches have bridge crossings that are predialed to receive interdiction fire, especially if such fire is demonstrated in weekly training excercises..
>>65557088Don't give Kel-Tec ideas
I own a lunge mine for home defense, as his imperial majesty intended.
minimum range of 70m makes it a little tough to use mortars in my apartment complex, but I have always wanted some canons in the entry way pointed at the door in case of attempted break-ins and solicitations
Made obsolete by drones obviously
>>65557088As a tertiary weapon, sure. The secondary, of course, being a flamethrower.
>>65557088WE GOT NIGS IN THE WIRE!
>>65559413Why are you letting home invaders dig in and build fortifications?
>>65561463If they've managed to get in to home invade in the first place they're already within the fortification, meaning they need to be flushed out.
>>65557088>hit it>throw it>love it
>hear a crash downstairs>jump out of bed, check cameras>nig going through my change jar in the kitchen>race over to my 84mm mortar emplaced in the walk in closet>traverse, dial range>hang it>drop>round lodges in ceilingShidddd
>>65557088anti-drone airburst mortar rounds that also sprinkle the local kindergarden with free piercings for the little ones? sounds riveting.
