I don't understand why women don't care about guns as much if not more than men, being at a physical disadvantage and typical victims for criminals. When I brought my wife to the range I was surprised to see that she didn't even have the hand strength to operate simple little guns like my glock 43x or BG2.0. I even bought a S&W EZ, but it was still noticeably difficult. And god knows they won't train with it regularly, so I really want something stupidly simple anyone can pick up and use reliably.

I'm guessing this makes my only option a revolver? A little hammerless one, like pic related Ruger LCR? My only concern with these (as someone that has never owned a revolver) is that apparently if you don't squeeze the trigger hard / fast enough, it won't cycle properly. I'm also not sure what caliber would be ideal either, since the recoil is obviously an issue as well. What are you guys hooking up the women in your life with?

TL;DR: Easiest handgun for women to use?

whatever you're carrying

>Guns for women?
Women are soft targets and most any gun can be used to great effect.
>>
>>65559146
>typical victims for criminals
Depends on a crime. Violent homicides, not really.
>>
>>65559146
thats because you are an incel who who doesnt understand feminine psychology. women basically think "someone else will provide this for me/do this for me/" everywhere they go
>>
>>65559146
>don't understand why women don't care about guns as much if not more than men
Because women have men that will carry and use guns for them. Dipshit.
>>
>>65559146
>is that apparently if you don't squeeze the trigger hard / fast enough, it won't cycle properly.
that's not a thing. but I do think a revolver is a good choice for the uninterested woman since most women will never understand how to work a semi without some effort while using a revolver is almost instinctively intuitive.
>but muh trigger pull!
a loaded revolver with a DA trigger is superior to a semi that she forgot how to load and never lubed

A lightweight snub-nose 38 Special like an LCR or a S&W Airweight is NOT a perfect gun for women.
Its recoil is quite significant even with relatively low-recoil defensive ammo like 148 grain wadcutters.
Plus, a double action trigger has a significant trigger pull which may not be ideal for a woman.
A better choice for a purse gun may be a heavier 38 special revolver with a longer barrel, as these features will minimize recoil. 148 grain wadcutters would be a good low-recoil defensive ammo choice for this.
>>
>>65559146
>>65559216
I'll add, though, if you're going the shrouded hammer DA revolver route, have your wife dry fire it in a gun store first before purchasing it. The trigger pull may be too heavy for her comfort.
She will also need to train with it a bit, as a noob with a heavy DA trigger pull will absolutely be inaccurate without at least some training.
>>
>>65559216
>Its recoil is quite significant even with relatively low-recoil defensive ammo like 148 grain wadcutters.
Yeah. I recently put 100 wadcutters through an LCR. I expected the recoil to be light because of the ammo choice. Nope. It was snappy enough to give me a nice friction burn on the inside of my thumb. Will wear gloves the next time I shoot it.

BEHOLD! THE SHIELD EZ IN .380!
-Small enough to fit in foid hands but not so small it's hard to hold
-slide literally billed as easy to rack
-mag designed so literal cripples can load it
-"omg it looks just like my BF Anon's gun :)" so she won't think you're patronizing her
-locked breach .380 means it's soft as a pillow to shoot (snappy handguns are 99% of what make woman dislike shooting)
-grip and thumb safety so it doesn't go off while rolling around in her purse full of random shit
-.380 will still kill a nigger dead
Literally the perfect foid gun. S&W have literally solved "guns for women question" and I don't just say that because I'm a Smith and Wesson stockholder.
>>
>>65559146
>BG2.0
You can replace the slide spring on these with a weaker spring to make it easier to rack.
>>
>>65559146
If your woman cannot rack the slide of a modern semiauto handgun they are not going to be able to shoot a DOA revolver with any kind of accuracy or reliability. The revolvers for women thing has always been a retarded unconscionable meme.
>>
>>65559271
>get .380 ez
>and equallizer
>put ez slide on equallizer frame (this works)
>load equallizer mags (literally just shield plus mags) with .380
Congrats you now have a kino .380
>>
>>65559216
This canon has it, but at the same time, we've evolved. The M&P 380 EZ is literally everything a gunshy woman could ask for while not treating her like an invalid who can't be expected to learn how to use her equipment.
>>
>>65559309
>while not treating her like an invalid
But anon, women shouldn't be allowed to vote.
>>
Just wanted to note that Taurus G3C slide was also noticeably easy to rack.
>>
>>65559146
Just get her some exercise bands. She'll be fine.
>>

I've got a Bodyguard 2.0 which is my main carry, a PPK/S which was gifted to me by a late uncle when I was a teen, and Ruger LCP II in 22lr that I bought for shits and giggles. Guess which one is the only one that my wife can shoot comfortably and will carry?
>10 shots of .22lr in a nigger's gut is better than pepper spray or one of those stupid knuckle spikes
>>
>>65559146
95% of women are literally retarded, compared to only 75% of men.
>>
>>65559291
I agree with this guy. It's like when movies relegate women to bows and rapiers as if those things don't require strength to use. Even experienced DA/SA or striker shooters generally have to familiarize themselves with the DA trigger of revolvers. If OP's wife can't handle an EZ then the answer is to address why and work on that.
>>
>>65559271
this is the answer.

the only reason for a female to carry something else is AFTER she gets comfortable with the EZ, and wants something like an LCP that is easier to conceal in smaller bags and outfits or easier to take on a run, etc.
>>
God my wife is a pretty weak waifish little princess but even she can pull the trigger on an LCR like a kid with a cap gun.
>>
>>65559673
LCR has a pretty light, smooth trigger for a DA only snubbie. Probably the best DA only revolver trigger on the market.
>>
>>65559146
Women lack agency.
>>
>>65559146
>if you don't squeeze the trigger hard / fast enough, it won't cycle properly
It can't not cycle properly.

The DAO trigger is the safety. You can pick up a loaded DAO revolver by the trigger and the hammer won't move. But you can still pull the trigger unless you're 80 and have arthritis.

My wife has shot +P from my .38 special snub. It was fine.
>>
>>65559291
We're talking about defensive handguns. Accuracy is a meme. You want something that will still fire when it's jammed into somebody's ribcage.
>>
>>65559146
>My only concern with these (as someone that has never owned a revolver) is that apparently if you don't squeeze the trigger hard / fast enough, it won't cycle properly.
Actually the quirk with the LCR is that you have to let the trigger fully reset after you shoot or it won't shoot the next time. This causes issues with people used to Airweights that don't work this way.
>>
>>65559901
Shot placement is definitely not a meme with a round as small as a 38 Special. You, ideally, absolutely want to be hitting the CNS.
>>
>>65559271
This would be my primary concern with a woman and a gun with a safety: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBTdvrGnOQk
>>
>>65559291
>The revolvers for women thing has always been a retarded unconscionable meme.
its not solely cause they cant rack a slide thats part of it but a larger part is women are retarded and cant tell if a gun is loaded or not. revolver is swing out cylinder gun is safe, very obvious if its loaded or not. meanwhile drop the mag still one in the chamber nd into your boyfreind. or safety they wont remember if its on or off.
>to shoot a DOA revolver with any kind of accuracy or reliability.
neither of those things matter when a woman is holding the gun. they werent going to hit a damn thing regardless of revolver or semiauto pistol
with 5-6 they are less dangerous to everyone else than they were with 7-20.
giving women revolvers is the same as teaching nigs to shoot sideways or apartment dwellers to load birdshot.
the retards who fall for it deserve it and the rest of society is better off.
>>
>>65559146
>I don't understand why women don't care about guns as much if not more than men
>why doesn't the gatherer class have the same interest in violence as the hunter class?
Truly a mystery.
>>
>>65559949
If you care about that you don't carry a snub. I'm fond of the expression
>snub nose revolvers are for guys who expect the fight to go to the ground
>>
>>65560071
I mean you can absolutely hit CNS at typical self-defense ranges with a snubbie.
>>
The thought of killing someone larger than 3 children is scary to them
>>
My extraordinarily weak mother likes the smith 5.7 in addition to the other striker carry S&Ws mentioned itt. I actually slept on 5.7 at the time where we were shopping around for one for her because it was $1.35/rd

Women don't care about guns because they don't have a sense of personal responsibility. They know men/society are responsible for keeping them safe.
>>
>>65560073
Apparently I can't. I missed an entire dog once.
>>
>>65559306
What's better about the ez slide?
>>
>>65559291
Pulling a trigger is more intuitive for a woman than racking a slide.

>but muh heavy DA pull
Still easier than racking a slide. You can teach a woman all sorts of tricks to make racking the slide easier, but in an emergency, all of that's going out the window when she inevitably panics.
>>
>>65559972
>its not solely cause they cant rack a slide thats part of it but a larger part is women are retarded and cant tell if a gun is loaded or not. revolver is swing out cylinder gun is safe, very obvious if its loaded or not. meanwhile drop the mag still one in the chamber nd into your boyfreind. or safety they wont remember if its on or off.
this. my wife came home the other night from dinner with her girl friends and tried to clear her pistol before handing it off to me. Racked the slide in the kitchen to clear the chamber but still had the mag in and jammed it.

Pretty much this. My wife on several occasions has been oblivious to huge red flags when we are walking around somewhere. She always asks why I’m so distracted when we go place. Girl, one of us needs to pay attention.
>>
why dont you care about clothes?
>>
>>65560894
nonsensical comparison.
>>
>>65560894
I do, though.
I go out of my way to purchase clothing with adequate pockets for carrying.
>>
Women are also oblivious to danger. The Aldi here always has some vagrant outside. Went with my sister once to buy stuff for our mom, there were 2 weird dudes hanging out. They didn't do anything, but still. After we got home, I took my jacket off and my younger sister went and tattled to our mom I was carrying as if those people arent the reason I do so
>>
>>65560868
Boomers are right. Pulling a trigger does not require training muscle memory. Unless you—as in you personally taking responsibility and physically taking the female whose safety you care for—diligently take her, multiple times a year, to the range, and run her through drills, she will not be rely on using anything with a manual safety, slide release, auto catch, mag release, or anything even remotely sensitive to limp-wristing.

These are very simple machines to us but women have as much affinity/appreciation for firearms as the average /k/tard has for womens fashion
>>
>>65560983
>"...you personally taking responsibility and physically taking the female whose safety you care for—diligently take her, multiple times a year, to the range, and run her through drills..."

You can do this until you're blue in the face, for as long as she will tolerate you dragging her to the range.

Women are very child-like, but still adults. You think you can bend them to your will because you're such a manly-man. You're in for a lot of frustration.

Because you are very immature.

We do. Mens clothing is just a solved problem so we don't really talk about it much.
Men have at most 6 outfits:
Tuxedo
Suit and tie
Jeans and a T shirt
Shirt and khakis/cargo pants
Uniforms for particular jobs
If it's cold you put a jacket on top. All men's footware matches all men's clothes so you wear whatever is appropriate for thar particular event. It's a very good system.
>>
>>65560983
>Pulling a trigger does not require training muscle memory
It absolutely fucking does if you want to hit whatever you're aiming at, retard. I swear most of you people don't even OWN revolvers
>>

Sir, most of these people don't even own GUNS.
>>
>>65561259
>work in a hospital past the red line
>wear blue scrubs every single day

I never have to think about what to wear, it’s a very underrated part of the job. The nurses compensate by overdoing their makeup and sometimes end up looking kind of garish.

Women are both hyper sensitive about threats and oblivious about threats.

I don't know how they manage to have both traits at once.
>>
>>65559146
The threat of the law over killing is many a time bigger than the threat posed by the criminal. A lot oif young guys carery without realising this, in that regard young woman are generally smarter motivated by fear and will focus on not being in bad areas or situations instead. I have known one woman who carried in a non larpy non American bullshit way and she carried a 12 gague side by side sawn off on a loop under her right arm under a long coat she also used keep a six inch nail in her back bra strap (guess how I found that out)

>Boomers are right. Pulling a trigger does not require training muscle memory.
You could not be more wrong, a hangun has to fir the users hand and point naturally in that hand and the user has to learn to have a consistentgrip and light tap off on the trigger whether that's by using a mirror and dry or using live ammo does not really matter though but it takes at least a weeks worth of concerted effort to get reasonable.. Not every hand is the same or eye and what gun works for one may not work for another along with the simple principle that once you need to put a bullet in something with a handgun, don't hesitate keep fucking doing it..I have many handguns but have never counted them as much good as weapons, they are better than nothing or a knife or club but that's where they sit on the scale of useful americans are obsessed with them becasue they are a big for profit thning in the states and heavily sold up as keeping you nsafe whereas the opposite is true if you need one it means you are already not safe.
>>
>>65561198
Exactly. That’s why we got them DAOs.
>>
>>65561763
Nah not doxing myself but she used travel in a very dangerous city doing errands and always had that side by side under a long coat. You've had a sheltered life. At that time people were getting picked up and tortured by gangs using fake cab drivers and other tricks and they were going for randos on the street. Used tape people to chairs and cut chunks off them with kitchen knives until death. Enough to make anyone extra careful if they had to travel though different areas alone.
>>
>>65561342
You’re right. The high bore access and recoil anticipation make even a DAO not ideal. They should train with them too. But when they don’t, they still at least know how to pull a trigger 5 times with no possibility of a FTFeed or a stovepipe.
>>
>>65561777
you are overthinking this shit. pull the trigger gun goes off. now if it hits what you were aiming at is a whole different story but the distances you are talking about are punching distance. or a few steps from punching distance. you dont need the perfect trigger pull and years of muscle memory when the gun is almost touching the target.
>>
>>65561733
Women don’t like to use guns period. They strangle and poison.

Women don’t like machines or gore. Women don’t like guns.
>>
>>65561777

>>
>>65561795
Honestly anon you are talking absolute shit. If you don;t have a gun that fits your hand and have not got familiar with it you will probably miss. They are not magic wands. You are talking garbage. Go and shoot a few pistols for fuck sake you clearly never have. If you are shooting at someone within ten yards you already fucked up so massively that it's a coin toss whether they kill you anyway because nmost handguns don;lt kill people instantly like you think unless you get lucky. Hanguns DEFNITELY need some poractise to be worthwhile and benifit massively from being a good fit for the users hand and pointing well for that person..that's asoide from a baseline familarity with function when things get stressful
>>
>>65561804
Did your mother abandon you or something kid? I mean it's not like I'm an apologist for women but there is one not 30 meters from me who would thrash you in a ten km run. Leave your basement. Even the average woman here where I am could beat the likes of a male jeet into a pulp.
>>
>>65561807
No one has said handguns are easy to use or would be effectively utilized without practicing. The argument is there are less possible failures capable with a weapon with a simpler manual of arms.
>>
>>65561807
>you will probably miss.
the shooter is a woman who has no interest in guns and wont practice unless a man forces her to. they were going to miss regardless of gun choice. how do you not understand this.
>>
>>65561821
Honestly I'd rather have a sawn off shotgun but each to their own. The last handguns I carried were 44 mags. I've seen more people running around after being shot with handguns than I have dead. Better bthan nothing but not much.

I believe she would. Running is a better tactic in a deadly conflict so that’s good. White women have stronger grip strengths than Indian men. This is a fact. So what? If a woman who doesn’t know anything about guns and wants a recommendation I’d offer both and present the pros and cons and I’d bet she’d agree with my points that if you don’t practice, like 99% don’t, a wheel gun that sits in a bed table drawer for 15 years and will shoot if the trigger is pulled is the best choice for her.

I suppose I’m biased because my family has had this conversation with multiple women all older than 35.
