What new production revolvers are considered high-quality?I've been seeing too many videos about S&W, Colt and Ruger all making garbage revolvers now.I'm specifically looking for a 44 Magnum, 6-shot, stainless steel, 4" - 4.5" barrel.
>>65565361>KorthSold in the US through Nighthawk Custom>JanzSold in the US through Cabot, absurdley nice, but also expensive. >SpohrSold in the US through precision shooting supplies. >Manurhinsold in US through BerettaThe Korth Mongoose is probably what you’re looking for, it comes in .44, I know it comes in stainless, but I’m not sure if the .44 comss in stainless.
>>65565371Meant to say you can get a stainless mongoose, not sure if you can get a stainless .44 mongoose.
Also, Chiappa just came out with their .44 Rhino. Some people love em, some hate em. Theres always Taurus, again some people love em and some hate em. Looking back to Europe, I don’t think Alpha Proj makes anything in .44. I know Picra does, but those are super specialized long barrel target and hunting revolvers. You could always find a gently used Dan Wesson “Alaskan Guide” in .44. Not stainless, but really nice.
>>65565371>>65565373>>65565375Thanks man!
>>65565371>those prices
>>65565361>>65565371>>65565373>>65565375>>65565376BTW:A 44 special revolver is fine, but it needs to be able to handle heavy/hot buffalo bore loads that go way beyond "+p" pressures. Which is why I'm looking for a 44 magnum. It's going to be my new sidearm when hunting, and I want to upgrade to buffalo bore 255 grain outdoorsman loads. Right now all I carry are 147 grain +p 9mm hardcast loads.
>>65565371Those Spohr look beautiful.
how are yall celebrating oct 7

If you want to be able to handle max power loads, then avoid all the aluminum alloy guns (some guy recommended a Chiappa Rhino, avoid); you want steel, even though it's heavier.>Ruger Super Redhawk>Ruger Super Blackhawk>Magnum Research BFR>Korth NXR .44 Magnum>Colt Anaconda (the new ones, not the classic ones)>Colt Kodiak>S&W Model 29Spohr and Manurhin make great stuff but I have never fired those so I wouldn't be able to recommend them, an acquaintance let me shoot his Korth so I shouldn't even know about those either.
>>65566252Thanks!
>>65566252I totally forgot about the Taurus Raging Hunter. If S&W made the list, their budget cousin should too. Reminder that the "Raging" variant is the one you want for max power loads, not the version without the "Raging," similar to how both Rugers on the list are the "Super" variant.
