>there are people here who will pay thousands for a gun, hundreds for parts and accessories, only to shoot it once or twice a year
why are they like this?
>>
>>65566941
Because all materialism is about the wanting and having, not the using. Hence you have desire but not satisfaction.

If you enjoy shooting more than acquiring or admiring, this wouldn't apply to you because the gun is just a tool to perform what you really want to do.

just be autistic and choose a niche kind of gun to hyperfixate on, change flavor of gun when you get bored
>>
>>65566952
Hmmmmm that can't be true. I got serious tool lust for a while and built up a whole workshop then one day I jut stopped.
I no longer scanned websites or harbor freight ads feverishly. I simply had what I wanted other than the replaceable parts. And I really suspected it was entirely a useless fetish but no- I now spend hours in the garage swearing.
>>
>>65566941
They are more intelligent than you, therefore make more money than you, and can use that money to acquire more objects they desire.
>>
people are touchy about wearing out the fancy things they paid a lot of money for. that's what makes cheap and reliable guns so good
>>
>>65566941
Because life gets in the way. Responsibilities, family, friends, obligations, etc etc. I have guns I purchased more than 20 years ago and haven't shot them in that time. No, I dont just keep buying more guns either.
>>
>>65566941
if you had a 6000 dollar gun what would be different?
>>
>>65566941
I've spent $6k on a gun that I will never shoot. If I put it up for auction now, it'll probably pull in close to $10k, maybe more depending on how desperate someone is.
>>
>>65566941
Biggest problem that most people have is shooting ranges. They're getting closed or sued or full of lunatic rules. There's some private clubs but they usually are hard to deal with,
>>
>>65566941
Why are you mad about it?
>>
>>65566941
My autism commands me to build parts kits, not necessarily shoot.

Yep. This sums it up perfectly. I stopped gunsooming years ago. Now I own significantly fewer that all fill a specific role. I purchase what works best for me rather than chasing trends with accessories as well.(Usually two fixed sling mounts and a high optic mount that works well with earpro and nothing more)
>>
>>65567468
This is ridiculous. You cannot be so busy that an hour range trip isn't possible. You've collected toys, guns are nothing more than funko pops to people like you. Disgusting.
>>
>>65567587
My nigger. Cetmes are my jam atm, might do an M2 next if I can find a good deal on a kit

if autistics are immune to propaganda, why do so many of them turn into trannies?

>most people here are brown and/or from countries where they cannot own guns or possess guns
>there are a handful of autists and redditors here who pay thousands for an arsenal of guns, ammo, accessories and useless meme inspired crap so they can take pictures of it and post it on the internet

north korea?

I own several expensive guns such and a genuine Russian SVD, a balanced-recoil Kalashnikov SR1 or a 80th anniversary of Mikhail Kalashnikov AK-103, those are collectible pieces that I own mainly for their historic value. As a bonus those are appreciating assets.

I also shoot them from time to time, twice a year like you said. I don't shoot them more because those are rare pieces that I don't want to damage or wear out.
>>
>>65566941
more like
>there are people here who will pay thousands for a gun, hundreds for parts and accessories, only to never shoot it
safe queen "collectors" need to be shot. maybe then they'd learn what guns actually do
>>
>>65567538
My fucking local range has voluntarily suspended several times over bitchy karens building a development physically on another side of a hill.
"I FOUND A PIECE OF MISSHAPED LEAD!"
2 weeks building a case then presenting at a town board meeting "How this is fucking impossible: the powerpoint".
"WE CAN SMELL IT! WE'RE BREATHING IT!"
Another week while they bought testing which proved Karenville randomly shit up the air with laundry dryers.
"HOW CAN YOU! PEOPLE JUST GOT SHOT!"
Voluntarily closed for 3 days a couple times.
"THEY AREN'T DOING ANYTHING FOR DA COMMOONITIE!"
They started a (very small) award to a graduating senior at the high school, sent a guy to tell kids not to touch guns to like the library and shit. Hosted a community movie night of probably anti-gun Disney shit.

Yo they cannot fucking try harder and they get continuous shit.
>>
because for people who dont live in arizona its a pain in the ass to go to the range.
>>
>>65567620
Autistics trade propaganda resistance for being totally susceptible to dopamine feedback loops.
>>
>>65566964

Too bad they fall victim to other retarded propaganda that is not advertizing
>>
>>65567875
don't summon that retard

I go to range USA and they let me use antique ammo that smells like rot
only thing they don't like is "rapid fire"
>>
>>65566941
some people have more time then money, others have more money then time

Then they're wasting their money on guns they won't even use. It's peak materialism and why you always see gucci ARs that don't even have a mark on the brass deflector. They sit on a couch and coddle heir new bestest metal GI Joe toy that cost 5 grand and watch their favorite slop tuber shoot the same gun instead. Maybe take a picture of it like a woman and post it online.

>why are they like this?
Consoomerism. Sometimes I think to myself "man, I should probably finally buy that No.4" but then I remember I'd rather buy more ammo for the guns I already own for the price of that new gun. I would have to assume I'm in the minority.
>>
>>65568094
Fuck off commie
>>
I go shooting to a public range on Saturdays but sometimes skip. I wish I could just shoot in my backyard, but someone got to live in the city and work the fake email job.
>>
>>65568094
the mark on the brass deflector wipes off pretty easy
>>
>>65567620
advertsing vs manipulation
billboard vs a social group that actually "welcomes" them, then grooms them
>>
>>65568094
>Then they're wasting their money on guns they won't even use.
Duh. Yes. Exactly. They have more money than time. They can't afford to spend time on anything, but they can afford to throw money at it and enjoy the dream of what they could have spent time on if they had time while they're stuck in transit somewhere and don't have work to do. They have much more money than you so spending $6000 on a gun for them is like spending $5 on lottery tickets for poors.
Congratulations on figuring this out.

Ditch your shitty eastern state shithole and move out west, anon

My local range is a sprawling taxpayer-funded facility that uses a mountain as its backstop. The main range is $7 admission for several hours (unchanged price since I was a child), and you can shoot basically anything you want, including belt-fed full autos. They have dozens of auxiliary ranges, including a mock wild-west town with cowboy shooting events, mounted shooting events, etc

Plus of course if that's too restrictive, you can just go 15 minutes down the road and shoot on the public land

You don't get to decide which uses of other people's resources are wasteful or a legitimate pursuit of happiness.
>>
>>65568073
>only thing they don't like is "rapid fire"

Luckily they make up for that by being generous enough to allow short barrel AR10s with muzzle breaks.
>>
>>65566941
Seems like a pretty common problem. I mean, $2-3k for a AR is attainable for people with jobs.

Same for $400 Nikes and $1500-2000 phones that people use exclusively for random Internet surfing and social media.

Ok I want you to imagine living in NY and hating it so much you buy an east german officer uniform and start decorating it with NY state official badges. That's an official state patch righ there from Kathy Hochul, who is more powerful than all of SCOTUS and also broke a glass ceiling.
>>

That's not very much in current year
