You flipped the fuck out when I agreed to stop mentioning Robert if you would call him out, which you obviously can't do because you'd be calling yourself out. We know your new meta is self-referential "other guy" posting. Your purpose is keep this thread on page 0, so you are not impeding anything, but tricking you into thinking you are is exactly how you managed to waste a decade of your life trying to "defeat /meg/"
>>65569038Is that how low the bar of "victory" is? Did you "defeat /meg/" because I called someone out for complaining about the OP and it wasn't you, Robert? 4 black men will be in the next OP by the way. You will NEVER get to make another thread and I know this upsets you because of your reaction, just like I know being called Robert upsets you, mentioning your "tragic backstory" upsets you, and on-topic discussion upsets you.
>>65569038There's no helping him. Just let him slide his threads.
>>65569120The solution here is pretty simple. Robert stops posting here, I stop posting here. Robert won't stop because he's trying to get back at me because I shat on his face like half a decade ago and he's trying to "get back" at me. I won't leave because it's hilarious to make the little shitface sperg out. Take the humor out of the equation and I'm gone. This of course means getting Robert to stop coming here. Many have tried, none have succeeded. Surprise me!
>>65569129Don't (You) me.
>>65569140Or what? I've stated the win-con that results in me leaving /meg/. Robert goes, I follow him over to /cangen/ where I will LARP as a Canadian and troll him there. You can check the archives and it is glaringly obvious when I was deployed because he plays king of the castle with these threads and goes fucking WILD. If you think /meg/ right now is bad, you haven't seen a wall of pictures dead American soldiers and kids and all of the vile filth he spews to every single person here.
Just got denied from the Marines what are my chances for the Navy? For context, I have been working with the Marines since March of this year and didn’t go to meps until may, I have three mental health conditions along with an attempt against my life, it was looking promising for me to get in until it wasn’t, just yesterday I was given bad news from my recruiter, stating that due to current administration changes I am not gonna become marine, but he has contacts in the Navy recruiting offices and is heavily encouraging me to go into the Navy to continue with the military, stating he has seen people get in with my history through the Navy,I have been working towards joining the military for about a year at this point starting with weight loss, then with my recruiter at the Marines, I really wanna go into the military, whether it be with the Navy or not, I just want to know my actual chances of getting in, my other conditions are ADHD mild ASD as well as anxiety all with a letter from a psychiatrist stating that my conditions are in remission if applicable. from my understanding, the attempt against my life was also happening in childhood along with my three conditions were diagnosed around that same time or earlier.
>>65569165Tell me "You won, Robert lost and ran away like a little bitch boy who got counter-trolled so hard he was mentally buckbroken" and I leave. This shouldn't hurt because you're not Robert, right?

Now it's in through the nose, out the mouth in a slow, steady, deep pace that only just barely hurts now.2. All of that "in through the nose out of the mouth" or timed breathing is bullshit. Got them on family day at Basic. They're actually fitted to my size, unlike the Fort Sill runners.3. I must be weird. I liked the basic training sneakers. I used them until they fell apart. Had my best recorded run time in those. Whatever sneakers you have, on pt test day were 2 pairs of socks. It always helped keep my foot just a little more stiff so I wasn't wasting energy with my food bending as much with each step. >what i meant by train one thing at a timeFocus on running as fast as you can for say 60 seconds. I mean a full balls to the wall "there is no way i can keep this up" sprint. After those 60 seconds take the next 120 seconds to do slow controlled breaths and get your heartrate as low and back to normal as you can. Rinse and repeat as long as you'd like. Kind regards from someone who was a shit runner with your same 20+ min 2 mile and got it down to 16:30 by the end of basic and down to 14:30 by the end of AIT and running stayed my best PT event for the duration of my time.

Serious question. The last few threads I saw a lot of people standing up for 92G and hating on Robert. Assuming 92G wasn't bullshiting about his entire backstory (he most likely was) do you really think he would have finished his 8 years and not talked shit about the army? You defend someone who would have still turned out like Robert anyway. It makes no sense.
>>65580117How many times do we have to explain this to you? Robert is hated because he never served but likes to pretend he did and then espouses disinformation fueled by personal and ideological hatred for his own country. 92G just had a shitty time in service and is the perfect example of someone who could have benefited from our advice. 92G is sincere about who he is. Robert is dishonest about himself and his intentions. Nobody likes a filthy little liar.
>>65580159That doesn't answer my question or negate anything that supposedly happened to 92G. Lets assume 92G had a different mos. If the same thing happened to him in any other circumstance he would suddenly like the military? Or, had he not been treated like shit as a 92G do you also thing everything would have been fixed? >92G is sincere about who he is.So you really think he's telling the truth about his story? I'm sorry, but I have a hard time believing someone could go 8 years an experience that many pitfalls if they were actually trying. He did admit he gave up, but that sounds exactly like the reason why he ended up how he did. This is all assuming he didnt make up the story in full or at least in part. I just happen to believe at least 90% of it was bullshit.
>>65580173Your question was answered. You're just trying to slide the thread with self-referential bullshit because you're butthurt that 92G hates you just like everyone else in the world.YOU LOST ROBERT
>>65580173Why have you never asked him when he is here? You seem to avoid talking to him, but have no fear talking shit about him. Very womanly behavior.
>>65580181You really didn't. You said.>benefited from our adviceIf memory serves, you said last thread something to the effect of "his leadership wasn't empathic to his situation" or something like that. Again, assuming what he said wasn't bullshit, which is probably was lets be realistic. Would he still have hated the army if he either a. Wasn't a 92G, or b. Was a 92G that didnt get screwed constantly? Ball is in your court.
>>65580193>ask him when he's hereHe doesn't come around much anymore. People have asked him stuff and he glosses over it. >>65569208
>>65580203>>65580207Come up with a rigorous set of questions for 92G for the next time he is here. Nobody else can answer for him. By the way, where's your proof of service? Are you still larping as an air force vet or are you switching to something else, Robert? You can surely see why nobody cares what you think, given that you are lying about your BAD CONDUCT DISCHARGE IN BCT IN 2015
>>65580217Didn't you say you were leaving FOUR HOURS ago? Seems like you're obsessively "coming back" here for some peculiar reason. But of course you're not the same person lying about 92G, that's "the other guy" who also isn't Robert, and both of you are different from whoever had their posts deleted, right? A whole cast of different people, but Robert is conveniently never here
>>65580216>Nobody else can answer for him.I'm not asking you to answer for him. I'm asking you what the disconnect is. >By the way, where's your proof of service?Right next to yours. It's intresting how that question comes up a lot, yet neither accuser or accused ever seems to post it.
>>65580229Why do you keep deleting posts calling you out? Very hypocritical behavior, I must say.

>>65579864You really should have asked here before you signed anything. Best course of action now is to strike a rate as fast as possible and keep yourself out of trouble. >>65581592My question is what happens when a military lacks professionalism. Not to the recruiters though. Back then, I was just asking what is my health care team was supposed to say about me. They were getting pretty annoyed because they couldn't figure out what the military wanted, and none of my recruiters wanted to submit anything unless I has 30 papers stating the same thing spread out over years, I guess. It took me a long time before anyone told me that I needed to be off meds for 2 years, like why didn't you tell me sooner?I just gave up because this is the kind of behavior that gets everyone killed in the battlefield. I definitely wouldn't choose those people to represent the face of my military if I was a country, it's just plain embarrassing.

>College grad with 3.0 GPA, Bachelors in Marketing>Scored 94/100 on practice ASVAB>Recruiter who is a Sergeant starts gassing me up for an officer position.>Apparently this SSG is the most knowledgeable person in the room on the commissioning sideI'm doubtful, because I heard from other sources that I needed to be competitive for OCS and that spots were limited. Are these guys just gassing me up or are they just trying to trick me into enlisting into some MOS so they can meet quota? The guy most knowledgeable on the commissioning side was a Sergeant, and he was the one telling me I could become an officer through OCS if I took the ASVAB and enlisted. Also, he said I'd be able get my tuition paid off through college loan repayment with the Guard over my six year contract. Is this true or are there some strings he wasn't telling me about? One more thing, he also told me that I could work full-time Infrantry for the Guard and possibly go on deployments. It is my intent to get as good at soldiering as possible on the condition that I do get into the military, and I don't want to spend my years doing something that I could do as a civilian.Would you all recommend I talk to the other branch recruiters? In short, I want to commission as an officer, work in a field uniquely military (i.e., Infantry or Intelligence), and have a bit of an adventure via deployments.
>>65584995Robert, your posts are being deleted because nobody wants you here. You are nothing but a nuisance, which I know you take great joy in being, but you can't honestly expect to be afforded respect when all you do is disrespect everyone else. That is what makes it funny to troll you. You are an easy target and there is no justification to come to your defense. You just plain suck as a human being and you're making it everyone else's problem because you think going away will bruise your ego.
>>65584987I'm enlisted so I'm not the best source for some of these, comissioning can take a bit of time to actually process, but once you're selected for OCS you should be set to go. I had a friend commission air force and he was in a bit of limbo for several months until they finally got everything settled and sent him off for training. Be patient with it and have income or a plan until you're on the plane.NG College loan repayment is real but it'll be contingent on how long you serve too, they'll have a minimum and if you get discharged before that for any reason they'll be more than happy to take the money back. Your recruiter should be able to give you some more solid documentation and you can get the details when you're at MEPS too.More incoming
>>65585007Are you accusing me of being a member of 4chan's staff, and thereby suggesting that I am the one deleting your posts?
>>65584987>>65585008Full time NG usually has need for more staff officers to handle things but it'd probably be more administrative tasks than infantry groundpounding. This also can take time to find a spot, I tried to get a full time job right out of my AIT and it took 5 years for me to finally get one.Deployment's always a possibility for NG, but some states and some units in states deploy more than others. See if your recruiter can get you more about how often/where they deploy to.And absolutely talk to other recruiters, you don't have any obligation to any of them until they're taking you to MEPS to sign your contract. See what they can offer you to compare and contrast. If you're wanting the military specific lifestyle Army/Marines are probably your best bet, but if you're looking at NG it'll be Army/Air only. I don't know anything about the reserves and what full time opportunities they have.
>>65585015Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I'll only be taking the ASVAB for now to see what I can get. I just have to fill out the application and see what they can schedule. That aside, is what you get on your practice test usually accurate to what you get on your actual ASVAB? Also, I'm from MN. Recruiter said we deploy more than others being the 5th largest NG in the country, but again, it sounded like you had for fight for those deployments from the volunteer list. For commissioning too, when you're in limbo, are you still able to work active duty as an enlisted or do they just send us off to our monthly drills and civvie work?On another note, I saw some young girls coming out of the recruiter's office. Spied some of their files and these lanks were 17. Now there's a lot to say about having young women in the military, and most of these sayings I've only heard as a civvie, and what I've read from the accounts of war, does any serious military ever take women fo roles outside of, let's say "upping morale" in the barracks? Like, one of those girls, a mousey woman with shagged hair and freckles, looked like the kind of person just happy to be told that she mattered somewhere, while the other looked more like she was looking to get as much out of the military as she possibly could. It's really no concern to me if I commission, but it's somewhat difficult for me to imagine the mousey girl dying in a trench. She looked like someone, if you met in a village, whom you'd wish to protect than hand a rifle. Maybe I do care. She looked like she had a hard life, and seemed to be the kind of woman, in better times, that a proper soldier would have died for. It was offputting for me, least, that everyone in that office acted like bringing such a woman into the soldiering profession was normal. Still, sentiment aside, I'm sure she'd probably get some admin work. Seems to be the thing these days.
>>65585049Yeah your ASVAB scores should be pretty consistent, and with a bachelors already shouldn't be anything on there to bomb your scores. My state's much smaller but still deploys about every 5 years, they're always happy to take volunteers but there's sometimes less choice in the matter. You can also join another state's Guard if you want, worth considering if you're close to a border and the commute for drill won't be terrible.Comissioning with a degree I don't think they'd make you drill as a cadet, that's more an ROTC thing, I don't think you'd start serving until you're done with OCS. Not really sure on this one.And yes, females join plenty often, and usually at least are trying to do their jobs. They can be shit and useless or just making things harder, too, but so can dudes. If they're that young they're probably going for the tuition too, and there's plenty of noncombat jobs that need done.

I won't turn this into a /pol/ rant with my opinions. If only the rest of army was always this exacting with paperwork probably 90% of my experience wouldn't have been so horrible.
Would I be retarded to try and go back into Reserves/Guard if I'm already out with 90%? I know there would be waivers and shit but there was a 24 year old kid at my last job with 100% and was still in a Reserve unit. I ask because it would have to intel in Florida, and from what I've seen there is some serious fuckery at the unit level.
>>65591338Yes. Don't go back.
>>65591314Who's side are you on? Are you with us or Robert?
I like being in the navyThat’s all
>might pcs for the second time this year because efmp couldn't figure my shit out for the last 10 months
>>65567179What's the probability of getting a chief packet for fixed wing in the army for an age waviered prior service re1? Willing to hear about rotary too for shithooks.
>>65592806Pretty low. Fixed wing slots are rare and highly competitive. You will need to be an extremely strong candidate in order to have a chance (excellent physical fitness, excellent impression on whoever writes your LOR, and bring lots of extra things to the table, like a PPL and flying hours under your belt). Rotary wing is much easier to attain in comparison and it's still probably going to be an uphill battle due to your age.
>30 yo NEET with no professional experience whatsoever>never went to collegeI have been pondering on how to fix my life and bros and after looking up information for the past week or so I'm strongly considering joining the navy. As it seems like the most viable optionLooking at both CWT and CTI as I'm an /int/ poster and already know a bit of russian and want to study chinese which is of course another language that they would want me to study to be a CTI.For CWT I've always been kinda interested in cyber security and apparently these are pretty cushy jobs with good work hours and the experience translates really well to getting a job once you're in the civilian sector again.
>>65592907Have fun
>>65592944oh fug I forgot to even ask my question.I meant to ask, "am I being retarded and should I just stay a civilian? I've never really ever considered military service before."
>>65592958dog if you're a NEET you should reach for any chance you get.military service may fix your life. it may also fuck you. YMMV.
>>65592958If you lack a conscience / don't bother yourself with the moral implications of your choices, then you might as well join. You could also become a cop, or join a gang, or start robbing people.
>>65592960>it may also fuck youI mean, if he's a NEET then he can only go upHowever much may his service suck, he'll have a stable source of income, he'll be housed, fed and he'll have something halfway respectable to put on his resume afterwardsPeople shit on the military, often rightfully so, but it's a legitimately good method of social mobility
>>65592958>am I being retarded Yeah>and should I just stay a civilian?Only you can decide that. None of us here can make the decision for you. Service will suck at your age but it's your life. Decide for yourself.
>>65593573>if he's a NEET then he can only go upThats my thinking. my parents as much as I love them, seem content to keep me neeting here helping them around the house til the day they die.I've got dreams though, and the military can help me accomplish them.
>>65593830Then why are you are here? What are you actually looking for?
>>65593895Presumably validation and a little pushBasically he's on the fence and wants someone to tell him that he's not doing something retarded and not about to ruin his lifeSo, >>65593830, go for it. Don't marry a stripper and don't buy a Charger at 35 APR and you'll be fine. The worst that can happen is that you'll hate your job for a few years and then you'll have enough experience to do something that you actually enjoy doing. Shit, you might even end up doing something cool for a bit and you'll get free college afterwards
>>65593568Literally shut the fuck up Robert, you were kicked out during basic because you said psycho shit and found out the Army isn't looking for baby killers like you though
Fun fact, ICE HSI has a federal internship program specifically aimed at veterans which trains them to investigate child exploitation crimes and put pedos in prison. https://www.ice.gov/careers/hero
>>65593914>he's on the fence and wants someone to tell him that he's not doing something retarded and not about to ruin his lifeThank you for understanding Yeah I don't give a shit about cars, I'm too ugly to attract women, and im probably gonna just live cheap and put most of my money into stocks since I have nothing else to spend it on.I do want to go to college as well so getting access to the GI bill seems very lucrative.>>65593924Who is robert?Do you guys get your own dedicated schizo in these threads?
>>65593914>Basically he's on the fence and wants someone to tell him that he's not doing something retarded and not about to ruin his lifeNone of us can say he's not. Entering at 30 is a much different experience than entering at 18 with no real life experience. At 30 years old, he's a big boy and should be able to make the decision himself. Is there any real downside to him joining? Not really. Will he potentially hate his life for the next 3-5 years? Quite possibly. He's also a neet at 30. He's set in his ways. He's developed habits that will be much harder to break at his age. I'm not here to deter him. I just don't think he should be going in with the mindset the military will magically turn his life around. Honestly, I think he should just join. If he's not happy with his civilian life and already on the fence, he's more likely to regret not joining and always wondering about it instead of joining and experiencing it himself. If he hates it, he can get out and collect his bennies after a few years. Since he's already a grandpa, he can probably rack up the disability since he'll prob start breaking his body after a sedentary lifestyle of neetdom.
>>65594008You may actually catch up with your peers if you play your cards right and act responsibly. I vote yay, but do not underestimate the physical conditioning you will have to undergo
>>65594008He's in the walls
>>65594008You are doing something retarded, and you are about to ruin your life.
>>65594008>Do you guys get your own dedicated schizo in these threads? There's robert (a man who was kicked out of the military for talking about wanting to murder random iraqi civilians) and then anti-robert, who accuses everyone of being robert.anyways, yeah, go for it, man, you can only go up unless you end up a cripple or die, and that is statistically unlikely even in combat jobs.
>>65594024Seeing as he doesn't really have anything else going on, there's not much for him to fuck up, as you said. The worst thing that can happen is that he'll hate his jobYou do touch on an important point, fitness, but honestly if he's anywhere nearing a healthy weight, the military can take care of the rest. Navy's not gonna make him ruck enough to blow his knees up
>>65594128>poster gets accused of being Robert>goes full retard bitching about getting called Robert>mods gank Robert on sight>said poster being accused of being Robert ends up getting banned and his posts deleted>poster will then come back and pretend he is a different person but is obviously the same guyThe Robert theory has been proven time and time again. There really is a loser with a BCD who comes here to try to dissuade people from joining because he has a terminal case of sour grapes.
>>65594117HES IN THE GODDAM WALLS
>>65594024I'm not completely sedentary desu.I usually run a 5k about 3 times a week just to avoid sedentary. Though I do it at a casual 10 minute mile speed. I've never really tried to push for higher speed before.I used to lift weights as well a few years ago, but I fell off of that.As far as weight goes, I'm 5'10 175. A little heavier than I want to be but I'm dieting down rn and ideally I'll lose about 10-15bs.

>>65594176OK this is a pretty good baseline desu
>>65594197>debtnein>foreign contractsnothing>criminal historyzero. I don't even drink or smoke weed.>medical problemsI have pretty bad myopia and I need glasses or contacts to correct my vision. I DID in fact originally start thinking of the military because I wanted to be a pilot but then I learned thats only for officers and only for people with good uncorrected vision. So that dream was kinda quashed.>mental healthother than being dissatisfied with my life as it currently is, I can't even say I'm depressed. >medicationsI take the shit to prevent balding. finasteride and minoxidil.>history with extremist groupsI guess some of my extended family had biker gang connections in the hells angels. idk if that counts.>allegiance to foreign countries or dual citizenshipNone>Foreign assetszero
>>65594244Ok you should be good if this is all accurate. Your vision shouldn't be a problem as long as it's correctable (i.e. you wear glasses that let you see normally). Idk about the fin/min but if it's OTC instead of prescribed it won't even come up in MHS GENESIS. If you're thinking Navy I highly recommend CWT, CTR, or CTI. Just do some research on the other branches' equivalents and the specific ins and outs of going Navy (shore/sea duty, promotion timelines, opportunities for schools, fitness standards, etc). The Army equivalents are (iirc) 17C, 35N, and 35P.
>>65569187Anon, same conditions here. Just shut up about ADHD. ASD you can get a waver for. I got my wavers with the Army. Airforce is picky about any medical problems. Guy in my basic got kicked out of the Air Force for adhd. You’re going to find out it’s not the branch it’s the recruiter. Some people are just not willing to take the risk on certain applicants. Have your shit together (documentation, citizenship, bank account details, etc) walk in with a job or series picked, be professional, and ask how soon can you get to MEPS “Peace time” military sucks ass. The training schedule and op tempo from getting in seems really slow. Based on pay it’s like 9-10$ a hour. Be ready to be hurry up and wait. Pick a job that translates to civilian jobs. The national guard and reserves offer a lot of life time flexibility.
>>65594244Do not mention the Hell's Angels lmao otherwise your profile is fine. You can't lie about bad vision but that's at worst going to involve an ophthalmologist verifying you don't need a walking stick
>>65594250I was leaning towards navy just because I fell for their "see the world" propaganda.Even though I know by that they mean if you go on a ship you'll be out in the ocean most of the time and you will occasionally pull into port for a few days at places like yokosuka or naplesI was looking at air force because I know they have the highest quality of life but I've heard that they can also be picky and you're not guaranteed the job you want the same way that you are if you score high enough for it in the navy.I never really looked at the army. Idk I guess I just always assumed they would have the shittiest life of all the main branches. And obviously I'm too old to join marines, but I wouldn't want to anyway.
>>65594308There's ups and downs to all branches. The Army's biggest selling point to potential recruits is that you can sign for the exact job you want, and under certain circumstances, guarantee your first duty station as well (it's called an option 19 contract). It is true that Army dining facilities and barracks are of lower quality on average than, say, the Air Force, but they're a step above what you'd have underway on some types of ships and equal to or better than what the Marines has to offer. The Air Force might offer cushy QoL by reputation, but it has some surprisingly shitty duty stations in the middle of nowhere and it can be harder to get your preferred job choice compared to other branches. Take my word with a grain of salt and do your own research, I'm just a paid shill for the Army after all, but don't discount any one branch immediately based on what you've heard so far. I want you to make the most informed decision possible, if you decide to go through with this, as you will be spending at least 3-4 years doing whatever you sign for.
>>65594497You can get guaranteed A-school in the USCG and USN, its not available for all ratings/jobs but it is reasonably common.
>>65591314Can you elaborate on how you did 8 years and were able to evade promotion considering you are mandated by regs to go to the board until you get it? Why didn't you want to promote and why didn't you want to try reclassing again? I ask this all in good faith and am NOT trying to set you up or anything.
>>65594308Don't go Army. Every person I know who served in the Army said they wish they did Air Force instead. Also don't count out the Coast Guard. They have the highest retention rate for a reason.
advice on getting 100% disability?
>>65596098Fuck off spammer.
>>65595659Not him. But you'll learn that the regs only apply when they're convenient or you force a hand.
