It turns out you can ambush FPV drones by grabbing them mid-flight and throwing them to the ground
>>
>>65568468
Lol
>>
Lmao. Bold of him to flip it the bird before tossing it out the window but respect
>>
>>65568468
don't think I would have taken the time to flip off the pilot, likely to lose an arm doing that
would have swatted with a broom if available
>>
>>65568468
If you can grab it from underneath without touching the wires, and the pilot doesn't have a command to detonate the FPV manually, sure. This isn't the first time someone has been able to catch one
>>
>>65568468
why would this footage be published? why would the drone fly in there staring into a wall when it's a fucking quadcopter and can strafe? why is it even taking it slow, it's a quadcopter, it's loud as fuck especially indoors?

one thing I learned from the ukraine war drone sim is that some models have manual detonation by switch. No physical impact needed. Most of my FPV kills on botniks have been getting the drone close enough and letting the shrapnel do its work
>>
>>65568492
It's a window and the pilot is trying to stop it from knocking on a wall and detonating early? Obviously the pilot doesn't know a guy is hiding under the sill
>>
>>65568492
>ACRO mode
>just strafe blind through the window bro!
sure, if you want to break the props skimming some window frame
>>
>>65568492
>why would this footage be published
why does no one understand that these feeds are broadcasted open and anyone nearby could have recorded and uploaded that.
>>
>>65568516
because if you can do that you should be jamming it
>>
>>65568523
>because if you can do that you should be jamming it
This is not how physics work. You ECM station having LOS and siganl from drone doesnt necessary mean it has good LOS to enemy drone control station, so while you can get signal from drone your jamming doesn't reach enemy station.
>>
>>65568503
you already looked at the fucking window to understand what is inside, you can already strafe in one direction to react, what was the plan? to just slowly float mid-air? which is what happened?

>>65568503
>blind
you are correct, the drone flew in blind, hence the 'ambush', what is your point?

>>65568516
didn't think of that, the fpv stuff is analog and unecrypted, and given how long the war's been going on it is plausible that these seemingly rare shenaningas are captured and recorded this way

I respect the effort.
>>
>>65568552
what if you sent conflicting inputs to the control frequencies to crash it?
>>
>>65568627
That works if the drone is using vanilla ELRS but that's why they don't use vanilla ELRS.
>>
>>65568468
>Rusoriz
>flying for 40s
That's probably staged. Funny, tho
>>
>>65568468
Fake. Operator can detonate drone remotely.

>look how brave cumrag conscriptovich catches totally armed fpv that's totally from sternenko's rusoriz
>fear not, cumrag, just catch hohol drone when it approaches
>trust me, or else
>>
>>65568646
>Operator can detonate drone remotely.
Some drones can, some can't.
>>
>>65568638
Huh, nice catch (pun intended). Plus the building looks like something at a training grounds to simulate urban environment.
>>
>>65568646
Be hoenst anon, if you were a pilot and saw someone grab your drone, bring it to their face and gives you the finger you'd be to perplexed/distracted to remember to remotely detonate it. I know I'd be.
>>
>>65568468
>>65568638
>>65568664
1000% staged or at best a haha funny training shenanigans vid.
40 seconds of flight time to a building that's obviously a military shoot house made of modular blocks and no visible standard construction elements. My bet is on drone pilot training and the guy who caught the drone was one of the instructors/targets.
>>
>>65568699
Ukrainian drone operators have seen much weirder shit than that over the last few years. I'm pretty sure they're numb to it by now.
>>
>>65568716
>that's obviously a military shoot house made of modular blocks and no visible standard construction elements.
nigger said concrete blocks are standard sovok shithouse. Look like some old kolhoz garage from the vatnik union
>>
>>65568970
Oh so that's why the building is completely intact with not a single sign of explosives being employed anywhere near it... :/
Anyways doesn't matter as anons have already pointed out the drone was only up for 40 seconds. If it isn't staged, it would've been some training thing.
>>
>>65569002
Anon, the building has cracked plaster inside.
It's some agricultural structure.
>>
>>65568492
>why would this footage be published?
Because some guys can admit the enemy has done something funny and post it.
>why would the drone fly in there staring into a wall when it's a fucking quadcopter and can strafe?
So you can judge hight and width of the window
>why is it even taking it slow
These aren't world champion drone racers anon and the leading cause of misses is crashes so you play it safe
>it's loud as fuck especially indoors?
Yes

TLDR get a drone.
>>
>>65568523
Anon if your radio can pick up a radio station you should be able to jam it.
>>
>>65568475
Its checking buildings its not got the explodey bits hanging off of it and not very dangerous. The dude probably already peeked that.
>>
>>65569253
>its not got the explodey bits hanging off of it
Anon they fly armed drones through buildings and trenches all the time, worse case you crash and lose 1 warhead in a war that consumes millions.
>>
>>65569247
Jammers are basically EM lighthouses for missiles. They're not used as much nowadays. Also many drones use Starlink or constantly switch frequencies so they aren't easily jammed.
>>
>>65569259
The usual now is to come in at speed reduce reaction time, creeping is for parked vehicles. Also if it was explodey why would it immediately turn 360 and try to walk away eh?
>>
>>65569270
My sarcasm didn't come across enough.

>>65569277
If you can see a guy in the open you come in as fast as you can so he has less time to hear it and react, if you have to maneuver though tight areas you take it slow because them being grabbed is so rare this is like the 3rd time we have seen it out of tens of thousands of videos while they crash all the time.

>Also if it was explodey why would it immediately turn 360 and try to walk away eh?
The guy in the window grabbed it, turned it and threw it out the window into a bush.
