This has been bugging me for years, is it normal to be able to still be able to walk around and then crawl after getting shot near-center mass with 20 gauge #3 buckshot? Long story short I shot my roid-raging alcoholic drug addict father with my Mossberg Shockwave during a particularly bad roid-rage episode of his, I got charged with murder and eventually plead out to manslaughter after spending nearly 3 years in jail. My life is in shambles and I can’t own funs anymore and I often wonder if it was worth it. I was always afraid that if I ever had to defend myself against my dad and I used one of my pistols that it wouldn’t knock him out of the fight immediately and that he would just become more enraged and kill while I was trying to make follow up shots or if my gun got knocked out of battery or jammed or something. After seeing how he was still able to walk around for a few seconds and then still be able to crawl around the house for a few minites after being shot in the chest with a shotgun, does that mean my fear of him tanking pistol rounds was justified?
>>65568604maybe you should have just moved out of the house rather than premeditating this encounter?anyway pistol is always a crap shoot that's why the experts mag dump
>>65568614I was trying but this was during Covid right after Biden took office and the rest of my family wouldn’t really help me despite knowing what was going on with him
>>65568631that sucks, one of the pros of pistols is that you could have concealed it until after you took a punch and had a better self defense claim, not sure how it played out with you but carrying it would be seen as provocation and getting enough separation to retrieve it means you could have walked away and called police
>>65568648>one of the pros of pistols is that you could have concealed it until after you took a punchThat was what would’ve preferred, but I was afraid of the pistol getting knocked out of battery if my dad got on me and started hitting me with one of his ceramic lamps. And this took place in my own bedroom, I had the shockwave on my bed next to me under my blankets.
>>65568631Youre an adult, you dont need mommy and auntie to hold your hand to move outBut if youre the kind of genetic trash with a father like that I guess I cant expect you to be mature or responsible for yourself at any age
