It just makes me.. So hard...
>sw 19 classic, 4.25 inch
Was thinking of getting an xs front sight and then leaving it the hell alone. Maybe building a shoulder rig to hold 4 k pak loaders doubled up in two pouches. Whats been keeping your eye lately?

genuinely nothing. I have a few unicorns that i'd jump on if they fell into my lap, but I just got one of my dream guns a few months ago and i've been satisfied ever since.

sku 170210 if youre curious, i had memorized the number since the first time I saw one.

I'll never have a Mateba, but I can cope.
>>

I definitely caught the Smith bug too, but a little bit of research has informed me that modern production Smith and Wesson revolvers are victims of dogshit QC. You'd think at those prices they wouldn't have those kinds of issues, but such is the way of modern manufacturing I guess.

Its why I only buy used, and preferably older, S&W revolvers when possible. They are usually cheaper than the brand new versions but have much higher build quality.

was thinking about getting a 40ds or 50ds
>>
>>65571547
I would prefer a 40ds, but I just can't get over The Seam™
>>
Recently got my hands on a colt single action clone in .357 by Pietta. Very happy with it so far, scored it new for 400 bucks.
>>
>>65571523
Ive heard the same about most revolvers, sadly. Colt, smith, even ruger. Have to be willing to suffer arguing with customer service, or be super anal at the gunshop about inspecting every detail personally
>>
>>65571647
Ironically Taurus is still fine through something I'm going to dub the Little Caesars effect, wherein a budget brand that's already cut costs as much as possible appears to be maintaining a higher standard of quality as it's more expensive competition cuts corners

Planning to get one of these and decal it to match the Signalis version.

>30ds x
I know it's probably the right way to go, but all of my revolvers are stainless steel so I just wanted the green one to mix it up. I'll probably talk myself into the X for the durability.

I want to build a flintlock with a stock like this. Its so unique and archaic looking i love it.
>>
>>65571547
If you want to go full space cowboy you should think of getting the 60ds so you have a bit of toprail to mount a dot or something on.
>.t 50ds owner.
>>
>>65571847
i've been leaning much closer to the 40ds rather than 50ds. 30ds seemed too small and 60ds seemed too large.

Definitely worth it to me because it's less likely to explode in your hand lol. Could always get it cerakoted as well. I believe I paid $1185 at cummingsfamilyfirearms for mine + another $100 for the hogue grip cuz the factory one sucked ass
>>
>>65571491
I have lately been fascinated by the Russo-Japanese War so a Type 30 is at the top of my list of things to get.
>>
>>65571491
I was looking at these too.
It's remarkable how thin the classic Smith and Wesson and colt Python revolvers were. Magnum power and it's svelte.
Rugers are cool for being built like tanks, but I wouldn't want to carry one concealed.
>>
>>65571885
I curse Kommando store for the rest of their days, and for their descendants for 1,000 generations to not know a restful sleep or a filling meal or love or happiness in any way for the Mateba SRL scam. All I wanted was a .357 magnum, 6", blued, with walnut grips and now I'll either pay out the ass, get one in shitty condition, or most likely both by the time I can find one. May they grow to understand true suffering just as I have.

Dreaming about the reapr: still haven’t inquired let alone acquired.
Still don’t have a m1917, a1 or otherwise.
>>
>>65571883
Fair 'nuff. The 50ds is certainly a bit of a slab so if you're planning to carry at all that's definitely sensible. Cozy to shoot though.
>>
>>65571553
There are three (3) visible seams on the 30DS frame (and all Rhino models as well) but yes the barrel shroud seam on the 40DS does not look good.

Webley Mk IV
But I am in a place where I need a loicence and I'm still waiting for mine. I already have handguns so getting it is no problem at all, the wait is the hard part
>>
>>65571491
4000 pak loaders seems like an uncomfortable quantity to carry all at once
>>
>>65571961
I carry my Wiley Clapp GP100 from time to time. It's perfectly concealable
>>
I would be fine with the Smith Classics if they'd fix the fucking frame back to its original, sleeker dimensions.
They removed the hole and then just left the frame the same modified size as if it was still there.
>>

Those case colors on those SDS/Tisas/Inglis turk pistols are pretty. My HiPower clone is the plain one with the black finish. Do you know if it's chemical case color imitation, or real? I never can tell from pictures and haven't seen one in person.
>>
>>65572031
The browning machinegun? I honestly want to convert my izzy m1919 sometimes but I would probably pay more for a trunnion and water jacket than I did for the entire parts kit
>>
>>65572652
No way the turks are doing real case hardening. Its likely the same sort of faux chemical wash finish that later h&r's and henry's have

Amount many other obsessions on my wish list, for some reason I really want a single action rifle, specifically a Henry single shot. Probably in .308 but I haven’t decided. Either that or a nice lever action rifle in .44 mag. My indecisiveness will be the death of my hobby.
>>
>>65571491
Got this same model this year. Shoots like a dream.
>>65571523
>>65571647
No, the older ones were worse. Metallurgy has gotten better, and OP’s model had specifically suffered from cracked forcing cones which the modern designs have vastly improved upon.
>>
>>65574871
I mean if you get a model with bad QC, yeah, that is an issue people are having, but if everything is fine it is superior to the older models.
>>
My nigger, literally picking one up tomorrow
>>
>>65574871
Alright, guess I'm looking at modern Smith and Wessons to sate my wheelgun fixation and praying I don't get a lemon. God I wish these companies didn't suck so much shit.

Paid way too much for this. Hope the quality is better than S&W when I pick it up, but that’s a low bar.

My current fixation is the thought of selling off half my collection
