So are suppressors gonna go down in price now? I refuse to spend a thousand dollars on a fuckin cans with washers in it.

how effective is this really?

soda bottle, $50 "lug nut cover kit", potato, pool noodle. they aren't going to work as well as a $900 piece of inconel but they'll variously work.
>>
>>65583283
mine works great with 22lr, haven't tried 9mm yet though
a $12 adapter & $10 filter work fine, just remember to drill the hole out first, it'll extend the lifespan
i also put painter's tape on the end of mine, helps with the gasses spewing from it

People (who aren't shooting full-auto/FRT) will be 3D printing them now; they'll become cheaper as government regulation decreases. It's your civic duty to make sure that all NFA items are "in common use" before the next administration. Put real stocks on all your AR pistols and AK pistols. Buy a cheap pump and chop off that barrel. Put some oil filters on your muzzle, and if it doesn't work, just claim it does.
>>
For the next 3-6 months nothing will change.
After that, the industry will have adapted and cheap competitors to the big boys will be cranking out in full swing, I'd expect a 50% reduction of the name brand stuff in about 12 months to compensate.

They've enjoyed their 10,000% profit margins for too long.
>>
>>65583250
You're already good OP. There are plenty of companies churning out garbage suppressors for cheap, and always have been (looking at you Witt Machine).
When are *good* suppressors going to go down in price? Depends on who is making it, how long it's been in production, and what kind of machining / printing goes into the manufacturing.
If making a highly effective silencer is so cheap and easy, you should be able to make one yourself. Go do it OP.
>>
>>65583363
>make sure that all NFA items are "in common use" before the next administration
Caetano put tasers as "in common use" at 200k
Otter Creek Labs shipped 50k suppressors last year
We are so embarrassingly beyond "in common use" at this point and likely have been for years, if not decades.
>>
>>65583250
>I refuse to spend a thousand dollars on a fuckin cans with washers in it.
Funny, because those kinds of suppressors are already <$300 or you could DIY.
The $1k+ cans are extremely complex metal sinteted designs that perform like magic by comparison.

But you knew that, didn't you faggot.
>>
>>65583447
>perform like magic
Yeah they make money disappear from your bank account.

>>65583447
>those kinds of suppressors are already <$300
Which is already a ripoff. They're very simple devices which have been imbued with money-evaporating properties over the last hundred years or so by magical-thinking tards.
>>
>>65583438
Caetano v. Massachusetts really highlighted how fucking far New England has come from their revolutionary roots. At the same time, thanks Massachusetts for being suck fucking morons lmao
>>
>>65583250
Sadly no. Nobody's going to spin up the kind of mass manufacturing (in the US anyway) needed to make cheap, semi-disposable cans when the whole thing is hung off an election stunt that's probably going away in 2 years and the entire existing industry is focused on making them as expensive, snake-oily, and therefore profitable as possible, and the US heavily discourages import of things that are legally considered firearms.
>>
is no one going to address OP's image?!
>>
>>65583613
A threaded tube with baffles sounds like exactly the kind of thing you could whip up in a fly-by-night machine shop on the cheap if you wanted to cut the legs out from overpriced competitors before scooping out with a bag in a couple years once the competitors/laws catch up with you. I'd be really surprised if there isn't anywhere from a lot to a whole fuckin lot of them in a year.
>>
Price goes up since you have an extra $200 to spend.
>>
>>65583636
>fly-by-night machine shop
Well see there's the thing, all the FBNs are CNC and 3D printing. They wouldn't know a stamping die from a dragon dildo and a wipe is something they use instead of showering. And again, the money is in selling expensive-looking things to retards not churning out a basic product.
What I would expect to see is more integrally silenced barrels/uppers for sale.
>>
>>65583250
They'll go up short term due to the increased demand, then down eventually as supply increases
>>
>>65583250
>>65583279
Oh, it's actual chicken. In that case, I would suggest adding potato, butter, and after it's done cooking, some sour cream. It should make for a most enjoyable dish.
Note that ham and cheese is also an excellent choice for something to put in there.

If every single gun owner got an SBR or SBS this month, that'd be an 8-figure number of short barrels out there.

What's the best option for mounting an underbarrel 870?

Don't.

Pic rail to pic rail will shear aluminum from buckshot and up, you want a rig that grabs as much of the receiver as possible.
>>
>>65586172
So which one is it? ATTTT?
>>
>>65583636
This is probably why a lot are using Ti now. Even hobbyists that know what they're doing couldn't really do Ti suppressors economically. 3d printers capable of doing this at scale are well outside the reach of such people, but would pay for themselves in a big company using them for this purpose
>>
>>65583250
>a fuckin cans with washers in it
You won't buy anything ever you utterly poor faggot fuck. You don't know what you're talking about and there are already product for you you're too stupid to find.
>>
>>65586324
That's one, yeah. Personally I'd just wait a few months for them to start being pumped out en masse with this new NFA Renaissance but if you're impatient go for it.
>>
>>65586375
Uh oh, looks like someone never made a freeze plug can back in the dark ages. You have to be 18 to post here.

Stuffed mine with steel wool back in the day. Not sure whether or not it was just me or the Ruger Charger or the "stuff I found by the side of the road officer I swear", but I never really could hit much beyond 40 yds with it. At the time I hypothesized that the subsonics were getting torn up by the steel wool but maybe I just suck lol.

I own my house and have no debt. There is no reason to be upset that I do not think a can with baffles is worth 100k. I can afford cans, but I will not pay these prices. Just as I will not be getting a 40$ burger from a place with exposed brick.
