That's fucking cool. Love seeing around do this. Used to happen sometimes back when I operated a bulldozer if it had rained a bunch.
>>
>>65583617
Holy shit, that looks like solid ground until it very much isn't. No wonder the Russians got fucked.
>>
>>65583801
Yeah, most of the south-eastern part of Finland is basically forests, lakes and bogs. And occasionally, black clouds of mosquitoes.
Many of those bogs have been drained over the centuries since they're among the better places to grow something in there (the soil can be pretty thin or sandy in places), but some of them are still like that.

Is Finnish advertising notorious?

They're too autistic to appeal to human emotions.

I always feel a vague sense of unease at the idea of universally adopting a weapon like this that requires electrical power to operate, like it should have a manual capability. I suspect it comes from the west's utter inability to even consider the possibility of making a Gast gun.
>>
>>65583831
Most finnish advertising has the letters *fin* in this exact succession at least once or its in the name of the brand. So TRACKX is an improvement.
>>
>>65583831
Consider that we tried making a bread named "RAPE" for export. EXPORT.
Because, you know, "rapea" means crisp. But the final A was too hard to pronounce and what the fuck are you even doing

It looks like it's good on paper but not reality.

Its fine. Not great not terrible. They just need a metal box to hide from bullets and shrapnel.

Well thank God they don't have to worry about threats like steel core 7.62x54, after all why worry about something that can't happen?
>>
>>65583926
That is the price to pay for low ground pressure.
>>
>>65583931
At that point why bother? Why not just issue out old school busses for the job?
>>
>>65583931
I don't think ground pressure is the issue, to replace MT-BLs it has to float, any up armor kit will probably involve floatation skirts. I am mystified as to why it doesn't appear to already have BMP/Nork style hollow road wheels.

Have these gone extinct yet?
>>
>>65583944
Wheels don't cross country as well due to high ground pressure from a fraction of a circle making the contact.
>>65583949
Floation kit won't help when bottoming out in marsh or snow.
>>
>>65584017
And that's with something that's actually meant to cope with those conditions...
>>
>>65584095
But if it can't stop rifle bullets then it seems pretty pointless overall. Obviously doesn't have to stop crazy shit, but has to stop 7.62 AP rounds, seems like a bare minimum
>>
>>65584095
>Floation kit won't help when bottoming out in marsh or snow
Correct which is probably why they didn't bother using one in their terrain. Still could use hollow wheels.
>>65584011
Armor typically includes small arms protection, if we ruthlessly mock Russian APCs and even IFVs for not being protected from small arms i don't see why the Finns should be immune to mockery. They clearly want a bigger role for it than intended for the MT-BL hence the AC.

>>65584017
Why not use airboats at this point? These are basically the cold, muddy, slavic version of the Everglades(the Everslaves)
>>
>>65583926
If STANAG ratings for projectiles are all measured at 30m, how does that translate to longer ranges?
>>
>>65584256
Airboats need to be light. If you try to up armor an airboat then you will end up with a hovercraft with all the extra thrusters needed to keep it afloat.
>>
>>65584256
>Why not use airboats at this point?
Because those are an engineering nightmare, noisy as fuck, difficult to control, hard to keep armored, and you generally don't want to have a dozen different vehicle platforms on each and every army branch if possible.
>>
>>65584109
Armor is always a luxury to the luxury of having a cross country ride with cabin ac and storage in snowy winter.
Full power rifle and machineguns isn't as common as before intermediates are accepted. Small cal AP is highly sensitive to range degrading the velocity, and dense cold air won't do it any good either so penetration at a distance may not be a guarantee. For kinetic bullets of little after effect, penetration only means a possibility to kill. Most thin skined apc won't go down easy with just small arms fire.
>>
>>65584323
One would think that the Finnish Khanate would be smart enough to making something that protected against 14.5mm since they have Imperial Hwan troops on their border.
>>
>>65583566
rubber band tracks? i guess they would be light. but, man, the durability. any break and they are junk.
>>
>>65584389
Some rubber track are segmented like those on m114 so you only need to replace a segment much like the old shoes.
