>Ruger announced changes to several current-generation product families yesterday as part of our ongoing Ruger 2030 strategy," said Abbey Clary, Ruger's director of media, advertising and public relations. "This does not necessarily mean these product families are permanently discontinued."

>Effective immediately, Ruger is ceasing production of its LCR, SP101, GP100 and Bearcat revolvers. The company plans to complete its final production runs of the following models for 2026: SR1911, LC Carbine, PC Charger, PC Carbine, LC Charger, Redhawk, Super Redhawk, Blackhawk, Super Blackhawk, Single-Series revolvers, Vaquero, No. 1, 77-Series rifles, Hawkeye and Ruger Precision Rifle.

So what aren’t they discontinuing. Are they just gonna make ruger American slop rifles
>>
>>65586795
Guess I’ll be even more of a Smith and Wesson boy than I already am.
>>
>>65586795
Still astounded that they're stopping the PC carbine. It's probably one of if not the primary rifle in ban states
>>
They not doing good, or are they updating stuff to the point they have to redesign all those guns?
>>
I got a gp100 last year, very nice gun but its over priced and taurus .357 would have probably been just as good for half the price.

I also hate the READ INSTRUCTION MANUAL being on the barrel.
>>
>>65586795

>>
>>65586813

>>

Their 2030 plan is to "streamline" manufacturing to only have the best selling and profitable models.

Does this have anything to do with Beretta's attempted hostile takeover? I remember hearing about that around the time they discontinued the 22 Charger.

>>65586809

What a shame. I was planning to get one at the start of next year since I wanted to avoid renewing my permit until the DOJ lawsuit against MN concludes.
>>

Seems the problem then is that they’re doing TOO good and are getting greedy.
Stonks go up!

Will they ever bring back the Hard R line?
>>
>>65586824
>They are doing better than ever.
The shareholders are doing better than ever, not Ruger, nor Ruger's customers
>>
>>65586795
So they're discontinuing all their revolvers, 1911s, and traditional rifles except for the Mini-14?

Wonder if my .416 No.1 and .44 Redhawk are going to become collectibles.

Almost as if they are trying to destroy the nation and it's industry from within. But since boomers are short sighted and unintelligent it's almost as if the (((shareholders))) are putting them up to it and the boomers themselves are not even aware of the damage they are doing. Almost makes me miss Bill Ruger because despite being a antigun fudd he at least cared about the company that bore his name.

To be fair, I have no idea how Ruger, Mossberg and Henry manage to stay profitable with all of their SKUs. I've been told they basically just make a run of X of any given gun and then don't produce more of said SKU until that previous batch has long run out.

That's probably what they'll do, replace the PC carbine with an RXM chassis. They better release it soonish though, and it better not be arbitrarily 500 bucks. It's been to long. Honestly, the obsession with AR and polyslop almost makes me want to quit the hobby.

I guess I should be grateful companies like CZ and Beretta still make good DA/SA pistols. Hard to imagine them discontinuing the CZ 75 or 92 when they're so iconic.

AK market is largely fucked, but at least Zastava is still able to bring stuff in.

>>

Why, they should shift everything over to RXM based stuff. They really need to make an RXM with a G26/G43X sized barrel

So one thing to note is many of these models, like the no. 1 for example, are having their final production run for 2026. LCP offerings, RXM, MAX-9, Security-380, Security-9, Ruger 5.7, Mark IV and 22 Charger, Wrangler, Super Wrangler, American Rifle, American Rimfire line, Ruger Precision Rimfire, Harrier, 10/22, and Mini-14 models.

>Still astounded that they're stopping the PC carbine. It's probably one of if not the primary rifle in ban states
If the implication of the article is to be believed, they'll stop producing the guns they feel don't sell enough during 2027-2030 and then after that possibly bring back the ones that the market demands with modernized production and possibly a tweaked design.

That sucks. Those are all the guns I would actually want from them, particularly the redhawk and 1911. Oh well glad I got my sp101.
Who fucking goes to Ruger for polymer slop or an AR though, and are there really that many people buying the polymer slop from Ruger that it makes sense to discontinue all their actually cool guns?

Dogshit analogy. If everything that isn't an AR-15 disappears, we'll be left with one good design produced by hundreds of companies, most of them with bad QA/QC. The amount of slop would go up, not down during market saturation.

If that was a sincere venture they wouldn't axe a bunch of guns, then give themselves a few years to "figure it out", they would have phased in as they phased out, maintaining production.
All this is a weak insincere reassurance to soothe people who'd otherwise be rightfully angry, because those guns are gone like the fucking wind, not coming back.

My LGS has a used Super Blackhawk that's been sitting on the shelf for at least 5 months now. Convince me not to panic buy it please. I already own a Model 29-2 and don't need another 44. But on the other hand, if I ever got into reloading like I should, a Ruger in 44 would be the perfect test bed.

We live in such an unnecessary economic death ride. Our economy is set up like the world will end tomorrow, so it's balls to the wall or we all fucking die because Schlomostein wants a greater rate of return. Maximum slop, minimum time, maximum profit and shareholder return. The way I guarantee you they see it, is the revolver buyers will be dead soon so fuck it, more polymer striker bullshit to peddle in the highest quantity possible. I want off this fucking ride man.

The GP100 and SP101 are 2 of the best double action revolvers ever made and that I own in my opinion. They keep all these glock and ar clones and they don't even bring back the INDESTRUCTIBLE AND ASTRONOMICALLY BASED P-SERIES GUNS?
What woman, share holders, or jew is in charge now. Tell me, it has to be why, thats always the 3 factors that ruin a good company.
>>
>>65587874
Because if you're a good privately owned company, you'll get bought out by jews. Doesn't even matter what economic sector anymore.
Or even when jews AREN'T involved (rarely), you end up with a 'Who Killed the Electric Car?" situation

I hate to agree with you on this, because I hate to see them go, but I did buy a SP101 this year used. So I can say that "Yes I did buy one" but no, I didn't give Ruger any money.
Nowadays, I just don't see the point in buying new, maybe I'm just a poor, idk. These guns will survive on the used market for decades, albeit with a mark up.
The only thing I'm worried about is aftermarket support/replacement parts.

Privately owned companies are actually immune to Jewish tricks, public companies are the ones that get fucked. That's why they keep trying to destroy Valve, because Gabe won't sell them Steam.

>I live in the deep north of northern MN
Just don't feel too safe. Living in MN is like being on a hijacked plane: just because you're in the bathroom (up north) instead of your seat doesn't mean you're not still on a hijacked plane.

I'm not saying you feel cocky up there, but it's an attitude I've seen very rife in rural minnesotans.

Privately owned companies cannot be bought out unless the owner willingly sells the company. Jews cannot buy the company out from under anyone because the decision on whether or not to sell rests with the sole proprietor. So if a privately owned company gets ruined by jews, it's because the owner sold it to the jews. They cannot just wave their hands, invoke their vile jewish fiscal sorcery, and now the company is theirs. They cannot buy it, if the owner does not want to sell.
>>

>They cannot just wave their hands, invoke their vile jewish fiscal sorcery
They instead do the next best thing, which is attempting death by a thousand cuts until they finally sell, which they've been trying to pull on Valve for years. That's why people worry about Gabe's future death, and if the next boss will have the stomach, or even the inclination, to resist it.
