So apparently Ruger is discontinuing revolver production, and the revolvers they still offer are being phased out...
>>
>Ruger discontinues revolvers
>Revolvers get some kind of meme status
>Ruger reintroduces them in 10-20 years for 200% markup and shittier quality.
>>
>>65593584
Colt did this and their new revolvers blow the old ones out of the water.

Or, you can be like S&W that's been manufacturing revolvers for almost 200 years and still puts out garbage on a yearly basis.
>>
>>65593581
What is this from? Looks like City Hunter, but not the anime or Jackie Chan versions that I have seen.
>>
We had this thread the other day, it was a shit show
>>
>>65593584
>shittier quality
It will be extremely hard to top some of the shit they've been letting slip by the last few years, but I have faith Ruger can pull it off.

city hunter live action movie
>>
>>65593597
It's Nicky Larson et le Parfum de Cupidon, the french version of City Hunter, a movie made by philippe lacheau

In France, City Hunter was heavily censored, name where replaced by french one ( Ryo Saeba is named Nicky Larson, Kaori is named Laura, etc ), no more direct allusion to sex ( love hotel replaced by vegetarian restaurant ), violence ( blood, insult removed or censored ), and ennemy speak with stupid voice, or say that Nicky shoot "pellet" ( in a funny tone, not literally pellet ).

It was still a banger in France, hence why philippe lacheau did the movie, since he loved the universe of City Hunter.

It's simple, Philippe Lacheau went to tokyo, and ask permission to Tsukasa Hojo to do the movie, which agreed only if he liked the scenario and could change anything he didn't like.

The movie is full of french reference and cameo of 80's anime, like inspector gadget

Next they'll discontinue the 10/22, fools

Modern kike business practices has me so fucking broken at this point all I can do is laugh like a hyena

Who even buys polymer pistols or ars from Ruger? The whole point of going with a Ruger is for the big ass metal gun asthetic.
>>
>>65593986
suits with MBAs decided polymerslop was future and they can get glock's marketshare. Like the old boomer story of the hardware store with every kind of nail, washer and bolt.
>>
>>65593581
This just makes me wonder why we even have revolvers when they were surpassed over a century ago (beyond nostalgia I guess).
>>
>>65593986
Normies. The kind of person who buys a random gun because someone at the gunstore recommended it, then pawns it a month later because his baby momma wants a new purse, then child support payment hits so he can't afford to pay the pawn shop. Then he buys another a year later.

There are tens of millions of people who live like this. Animals really.
>>
>>65593994
doesn't jam and can't be knocked out of battery in a close combat engagement.

Still think a modern semi is better under nearly every case but revolvers are not useless by any means.
>>
>>65594003
Rocks aren't useless as weapons. We have better choices and you're retarded if you choose a rock for EDC.

This faggot "oh it's not obsolete it's just inferior in every single way" is retarded. If you're worried about the gun being knocked out of battery get a flashlight as a standoff. Never mind this isn't a real problem, the fake imaginary problem is entirely solvable, nobody bothers because it's not a real concern.
>>
>>65593992
And engineers are allowed a development budget of 92 dollars, so even when something "new" comes out it's a polymer handgun or AR

I bet you have at one point owned a P320

I bet you also do not have a foreskin
>>
>>65594053
>I bet you have at one point owned a P320
I have not. Here is a full summary of all handguns I own:
>Makarov
>Dan Wesson specialist
>Walther PDP
>Walther PPQ
>USP .45 Tactical
>VP9sk
>S&W 39
>Colt M1892
>Daewoo DP51

>I bet you also do not have a foreskin
Hopefully the next time my dick is in your mind is when I skullfuck you.
>>
>>65593994
I've got a stainless redhawk in .44 mag I inherited from my father. Great fucking handgun.

>wonder why we even have revolvers
Revolvers are still a great self defense option for people that aren't "gun people".
>no need to remember to work a safety
>great variety of load and bullet choices for defense
>double action trigger pull makes it harder for excited people to accidently break off a shot with a lighter trigger
>no accidental mag ejection
>weak grips don't induce stoppages due to failure to feed / eject
>immediate action reduced from slap/rack/pull to simply pull
>can literally jam the gun into the target and press off a shot without taking the gun out of battery
>point and press operation is very simple and perfect for low skill shooters

They're great for hunting as well. IMO, a revolver is a much better option for non-gun people to have in their store, car, or home for self defense purposes, as they're harder to fuck up using than the typical automatics.

Circumcised for sure. Having enough trauma it causes you to pass out when your only sensations should be warmth, love, nipple, and shitting will do that to you.

As long as the Taurus G2HUE is in the gun case next to the Ruger SR9 they'll never breach that lucrative check out my Glock bruh ($200 handgun) market. Ruger losing it's entire "it's only X% of our product line" revenue of the guy with 5 rugers finally buying a bearcat because it's neat is going to hit them like a truck and apparently they have no idea why.

Ruger is doing the equivalent of putting your ballsack on the table and hacking it off with a rusty jagged spoon. They're so fucking retarded that they're even canceling production for the PCC, the PCC Charger, the fucking GP100 and GP101. Their execs must be all huffing paint thinner if they think their RXM line can make up for the loss of the Boomer fudd market.
>>
>>65594013
>get a flashlight as a standoff
Fuddlore. Flashlights don't actually work as standoffs.
>>
>>65593994
They still have niche tactical applications.

Looks like it's temporary but damn am I glad the SP101 finally dropped low enough for me to grab one. I'm surprised that the LCR is getting the axe but it looks like this is all in service of updating the product lines. Unfortunately
>"These decisions reflect our review of consumer demand, evolving market preferences, manufacturing complexity and the long-term profitability of each product family," Abbey Clary, Ruger's director of media, advertising and public relations, told Guns.com in an email. "The goal is to focus our resources on the products consumers want most today while creating capacity for future product development and manufacturing modernization."
sounds a whole lot like "we're moving to plastic strikers just like everyone else."

Not to mention guys that hunt with pistols, or until not THAT long ago optics on automatics wasn't very common whereas scopes on revolvers have been around decades.
>>
I hope they are just moving or retooling. Rugers are the only single action revolvers that are legal to buy in my state.

I bet half the Anons ITT have never owned a Ruger product.

As with all such media, you can safely assume the answer is no.

>Ruger losing it's entire "it's only X% of our product line" revenue of the guy with 5 rugers finally buying a bearcat because it's neat is going to hit them like a truck and apparently they have no idea why
This is kind of me, my first gun was a Ruger sr1911 so of course I bought the Ruger brand range bag, Ruger brand ear muffs and Ruger brand Ruger sr1911 magazines. I also then later bought an sp101 and a mini14, all because I was happy with that first purchase, And I was looking at the 45acp/lc redhawk for my next gun. If that first 1911 had been a Springfield or Colt i probably wouldn't have had much interest those other Ruger guns.

Probably alot more than 1/2, even with the 10/22s.
>>
>>65595063
Have you ever moved a company? Imagine the cost and add 2 zeros.
>>
>>65595063
What state? Why on earth would single action revolvers be restricted?
>>
>>65596335
Roster states like MA or CA require the manufacturer to suck the correct dicks to allow their handguns to be sold, which Italian cowboy spaghetti blaster companies don't seem to be interested in.
>>
>>65596388
Oh yeah I forgot about that bullshit. That sucks.
>>
>>65596388
im almost 100% sure ca doesn't make single action revolvers go on the pistol list if they fall under certain specs

>California requires all handguns sold by dealers to be listed on the Safe Handgun Roster—unless they fall into specific exemptions. One of those exemptions is for single action revolvers with a minimum barrel length of 3 inches and an overall length of at least 7.5 inches.

i'm pretty sure anyways. i bought a ruger wrangler for a friend for his kid and it wasn't on the list.
>>
>>65593996
Can we put them in camps?
>>
>>65596618

This. Any single-action revolver over the minimum overall/barrel lengths is exempt from the CA roster unless it's also an AW (so no .45 revolvers even remotely capable of firing .410 because lmao "revolving shotgun").
>>
its because no one buys new revolvers. there are millions of barely-used old revolvers on the market and most revolvers can go through like 50k rounds of 38spc without showing wear.
