Why do people treat you different when they find out you have guns? The same thing when you're open-carrying in public?
its not as bad as it used to be but for some people owning a gun is seen as 'extreme'. jan 6th and covid really turned things around, most people realized after those events that bad things can happen and that society CAN collapse.
Most people have an opinion on the subject, they're going to either hate you a lot or like you a lot.
If people judge me negatively because of my guns or my hobbies then they're the kind of people I don't really want to interact with in the first place so I don't care.

Open carry is a huge low IQ signal. I feel like 90% of open carriers I see are carrying a Taurus in an Uncle Mike holster and wearing a Tshirt with boomer memes or Jesus on it and give off the impression that they bought their first handgun a few weeks ago. Shooting is the hobby I enjoy the most and I like meeting new people who also shoot and own guns. But there's a higher than 50% they're a fucking invalid with brains of shit that I absolutely do not want to associate with, and I never go shooting with them. Not just because I'm sceptical of their safety, but because they're often prone to spouting off deranged shit that bores the absolute piss out of meSo yeah probably because a lot of gun owners are insufferable wonks
The shooting range on the WMA near me used to be the Wild West. People brought glass bottles, TVs, all kinds of shit to shoot at. I saw a Mexican unc shoot just a few feet from his nephew changing targets out to scare him. I saw several ND’s. Crazy shit. People aren’t exactly very responsible and it gives the rest of us a bad name.
