how do these guys even know what they're aiming at that's such a blurry mess
>>
>>65599389
its not
IDF censorship are retarded , they downscale and blur all videos and UI elements in videos even when not required just to cover their ass 'just in case'.
>>
>>65599389
A lot of that is censorship added later. It’s also common practice to downgrade the resolution of these sorts of images so adversaries don’t know exactly how good your optics are. It was something of a scandal during Trump’s first term when he showed off original resolution satellite images on twitter as the resolution really wasn’t something the spooks wanted known
>>
>>65599425
If they wanted it a secret it shouldn't have been approved for him to release.
>>
>>65599425
>>65599424
Ah I see. I just assume they can read the size on my underwear tag when I bend over and they're having space wars with rocket launching satellites right over my head.
>>
>>65599433
not really nothing israel has can resolve anything smaller than ~25cm be it in their optical or their radar satellites. they can see your car and people in it but not smaller details
>>
>>65599383
Isn't this video old af?
>>
>>65599425
Eh, resolution isn’t that big of a deal. OSINT nerds (and by extension glowies) knew roughly what resolution they could reach based on optical physics and public information like lens diameter..

It’s the image processing that’s the real secret sauce.
>>
What the fuck were they thinking flying a trainer when they knew full well the sky wad full of sir superiority fighters????
>>
>>65599485
I like to think that some high-ranking officer at the IRIAF just hated the Yak pilot, so he sent him to his certain death.
>>
>>65599432
It wasn’t. They didn’t declassify it for years even after he posted it. There just isn’t anyone in the executive that can really tell the president no.
>>
>>65599445
they recently revealed details about it, the yak pilot survived and ejected over snowy mountains north of tehran
>>65599464
the HMDs and displays used these days in military shit (especially avionics) are just using DVI so its either 1920x1200 or 2560x1600. millitary tech uses it because its free off the shelf and they dont want to develop their own video standards or depend on newer ones that require approval\licensing. you'd be surprised how much brand new millitary shit today uses tech from 1998
>>
>>65599608
I was referring to satellites.
>>
>>65599485
Muslims crave martyrdom. I can't think of many better uses for my tax dollars.
>>
>>65599389
It sort of also probably is shit for the sensor in question. There is basically no discussion of it online at all, but if you're an optics nerd you can infer some stuff and it kind of suggests that the DAS on F35 probably produces pretty meh images.

I just know I'll get b& for this

The F-22 got to be the most blue balled military plane in recent history.
Well, maybe right behind the A-10 when the russian convoy to Kjiv was stuck for weeks.
>>
>>65600028
OP asked about stealth fighters, not an aircraft with the RCS of a clean superhornet.
>>
>>65600078
I guess you know better than the engineers who designed them, or Ukrainian radar operators, who have never detected one

Because it’s a hangar queen and doesn’t do jackshit lmao.
>>
>>65600092
kill = shoot down a manned aircraft
shooting baloons isnt a kill
>>
>>65600614
You'd think that, but the tradition of counting balloons as kills comes from WWI where artillery observers positioned at those altitudes were not only responsible for a huge percentage of casualties on your side but they were also surrounded by tons of anti-air to protect them from fighters.
Becoming a balloon buster was not only necessary to protect the lives on your comrades on the ground, but also carried considerable risk, so it was seen as prestigious and you could reach Ace status with balloon kills.
>>
>>65599383
Do you think they still managed to eject? Around this time there were 2 chutes spotted on video over and near Tehran. Wonder if it was them or something else.
>>
>>65600298
Now now, to give the Felon some credit it did shoot down that UAV when it tried to defect to Ukraine
>>
>>65599433
There are physics limits of optical systems, best case you get ~5cm resolution before you hit the diffraction limit.
In reality due to mirror size limits so they fit in current farings you get ~20cm resolution, this makes a car ~100 pixles wide and ~200 pixles long so it still looks pretty good when zoomed out enough to see a carpark.

at this point there is no reason to believe that inference is not deterministic in the quantum sense.

Link me a paper saying the diffraction limit has been exceeded by an optical system or fuck off.

it got taken down when they got folded in to darpa, but that was back in the oughties. ~2008 iirc

>single mirror limits can be exceeded by two mirrors aimed less than the resolution limit apart
You don't say, now you just need two 5 meter + mirrors aimed with 0.0138 arcsecond accuracy.

your ideas about what we can and cannot do are unimaginative and comically timelagged. we're out here hacking the Planck constants and you're still hung up on flying cars

Do you understand anything about this or just ask a slopbot for a comeback?
You are going to be using liquid-mirrors on orbit are you?
