They are nuking their best products. Are they going to make only 10/22s???
>>65601364literally nobody bought those
>>65601364>All the revolversFuddslop>1911Everyone else makes one>LC/PC charger/carbineUsed to be good but pistol chassis is the new PCC meta>No 1, 77, hawkeyeHunters are all trailer trash poorfags and never bought them
>>65601364>revolversSold more in pawn shops than new, you wont notice a single difference>all those NFA cope """pistols"""why keep manufacturing braced pistols or stockless SBRS when you can finally uncuck your supply line and make real gunsand seriously who the fuck actually bought a Vaquero
>>65601364>Are they going to make only 10/22s?They are keeping their AR-15, RXM (Glock clone) 10/22, Ruger Wrangler, 5.7 pistol, and possibly some other things I don't remember.
>>65601364Shareholder value must go up so they can report even more profit this year. If they don't profitmaxx and make line go up that means their company is dead, even if it means gutting themselves in the process. I'll bet dollars to donuts they wanted to axe the mini and the 10/22 and only push strikerslop but it's only thanks to cuckstates and the canucks that they're allowed to live (for now)
>>65601443The "cope pistols" are pccs which Ruger was genuinely good at and you could always just slap a stock on if you wanted. Getting rid of these doesn't have anything to do with this court decision.
>>65601364>their best productsObviously not. Are you retarded as well as autistic?
>>65601450youre a virgin
>>65601465The SP101 and ghe GP100 are iconic revolvers. The PC Charger and the PC Carbine are the PCCs that started the PCC fashion, the SR1911 is a 1911, how are those no great guns?
>>65601364What about the lcrx
>>65601503Because in the face of their competition so few people were buying them that they are now being discontinued. Why do you need this spelled out to you like a toddler? You act like they're doing it to spite YOU, specifically, the gunless autist on the internet.
>>65601364Few people wanted the revolvers nor the hunting rifles and if they did, used gun stores are full of high quality used-once examples. For the PCC stuff it probably wasn't worth maintaining the product and marketing it in the ban states because nobody was buying that junk in the free states.
>>65601503>ruger revolvers>iconicanon i...
>>65601534What competition?
>>65601549>anon i….’m retardedFtfy.
>>65601503>SR1911Who is buying this when $300 Tisas exist. Your average Rooger customer is a cheapass.
>>65601556if it's not a python, model 29, or SAA nobody gives a fuck, that simple
>>65601569I had one. I'd say it was better made than the colt I currently have, the fit was way better, and I personally thought the finish was nicer. The trigger on the Ruger was also a lot nicer with a better break, and the colt has a lot of slop on the top and bottom where it wiggles when the Ruger had none.
>>65601364the only ones of those im surprised about are the lrc. and to a lesser extent gp100. mostly cause i thought the lcr was doing good and theres nothing to replace the gp100.
>>65601364Boomers are dying and revolvers will mostly die with them.Sure a few will stick around but they are the smart thing to end production of first.>inb4 Ruger is acquired before the end of next year
>first 3 posts obvious bait spamRussian bots didn't stay down long enough
>>65601449Mini 14, im surprised they didnt kill it but then I remembered they sell them to other countries police like France for example.
>>65601364line UP
>>65601694you weren't buying them doe
>>65601457>court decision. Are you in the right thread? We are talking about Ruger announcing that they are closing some production lines. No court decisions at all.>>65601694>I would 100% support restricting gun rights for anyone who didn't own a gun before 2020.Awful idea. In the short term it'd keep some undersirables from buying guns; however, in the long term, with no new gun owners, the number of anti-gun advocates would sharply rise within 20-40 years.
>>65601585No.
>>65601721The 2nd amendment is not absolute
>>65601721Sorry I thought you were saying why would anyone buy a "cope pistol" because with the decision you can put a stock on anything. I was saying whatever the final configuration may be there's still a market for pistol caliber rifles, and it's one of the things Ruger does well that others don't.
>>65601734>I was saying whatever the final configuration may be there's still a market for pistol caliber riflesOh okay, now I get what you were telling the other guy. I read "court decision" and was confused, but it makes sense based on the message you were replying to.
>>65601694This is a spam post copied and pasted directly from the handgun general.
>>65601760Uh huh. Is this Boogeyman in the room with us now?
>>65601585Their big boy revolvers are overbuilt and plenty iconic. But, maybe not as much as a python, saa or the older smiths. I think a lot of people who buy the gps and sps like them and keep them. I never see them on the secondary market and a lot of people on here who own them say they inherited them. Really if you want to know which guns are best look for what you dont see for sale used. Those are guns that people arent parting with after buying new.
>>65601719>doeI was. You weren't old enough to. Maybe you still aren't.
You're all sick people. I hope you all get cancer. Fuck youse all. I put a curse upon you all. Fuck ya mudda
>>65601364>no more Ruger No. 1are you fucking shitting me? they didn't change the cartridge options for YEARS, like since the 2010s. tfw no 45-70 No.1 >:( im mad but also not bc fuk ruger i dont want their dumb guns
>>65602287This.getting rid of the No. 1 and Redhawk revolvers?is the OP picrel a troll-joke
I really hope they're just going to rebrand the revolvers to Marlin
>>65601364Beretta
>>65602886This, beretta has been attempting to take over ruger for a few years now, my guess is that they paid off all the big youtubers to not talk about it so most people have no clue it's even happening.
>>65601443>>revolvers>Sold more in pawn shops than new, this really is the big one. revolvers simply last a long time, especially if fed primarily .38spc and ruger revolvers are dummy thicc so the last especially long.
>mini-14 isn't going out of productionwho even buys them these days?
>>65601364>Ruger stopping production of all these models>Beretta really trying to get more shares of Ruger>Savage bought by S&W>Aguila building a new manufacturing plant...oops no components and sorry we suspended production of specialized 22 loads until that plant is completeEverything is totally going good guize. Also can we at least have the non-gay Savage logo back now?>>65603077I kinda want the Mini-.300 but IIRC the drop for subs isn't much better than 9mm to the point I question my wants.
>>65601475I pray you don't vote.
>>65601465>>65601534>>65601549>Just be exactly like every other company.Truly geniuses of business.
>>65601585You know nothing and the lazy manner in which you type tells me all I need to know about your character.
>>65601364Makes sense as revolvers make 0 dollars and 0 cents unless it's colt of S&W. Plus the Rxm taking off and Beretta taking over has to factor in
>>65603387>but IIRC the drop for subs isn't much better than 9mm to the point I question my wantsThink about the difference in bullet weight though, that .300 will hit with quite a lot of thud
>>65601569Not only that, but literally every other company has stepped up on 1911/2011 while ruger did nothing. Why get that when kimber has a 2011 at the same price, or a S&W which is just an upgraded ruger at a slight increase?
>>65602886Beretta only owns like 25% of the company and only has like 3 seats on the 12 seat board. Also if they knew any better Beretta would integrate themselves more with Ruger and basically do a Beretta branded RXM that's fully parts compatible. This is likely due to them overhauling their production lines so expect to see some of these products come back with some kind of improvement or being made obsolete like the PCCs likely being replaced by an RXM PDW chassis. It could also be normal retarded corporate greed of some unqualified numbersfag not understanding that all these random products that don't sell super well at least ensure Ruger's brand dominance across the entire industry and trying to get rid of them to make line go up
>>65603059>my guess is nobody (I happened to watch the video of) mentioned this almost irrelevant fact, therefore they all must be paid to not mention itAnd you wonder why people laugh at you
>>65603393I highly doubt women post here
>>65603434But men who argue like women do
>>65603432What a strange post? What's your point anon, or are ya just trollin
>>65603438We call the foreign
>>65603486The point is that the claim he or you made was mentally retarded
>>65603069>Have S&W Model 19 Classic>Mostly shoot .38 out of it because it's cheaperHot damn I'm gonna have that thing forever.
>>65603422>Beretta branded RXM that's fully parts compatibleJust do a better polymer framed 92
>>65603414It will, but at the least it's also a question of ammo cost. A few loads of .300 matched trajectory pretty close with similar sub/super loads of 22WMR and 9mm which I don't particularly think of as super flat shooting. Having a dedicated and handy 22LR hunting rifle (silenced) and .223 hunting rifle (20", soon to be silenced), I'm struggling to find a good enough use case for .300 when costs for that ammo IIRC are nearing .223 hunting ammo. Not to mention .223/5.56 costs are rising again. I'll end up getting a Mini-30 in .300 and probably SBRing it but probably not before buying an MP5 considering bulk 9mm and 22WMR prices are about even at almost half of 223/5.56 prices. Also I'm wondering if, even on the largest game I'd probably be able to use it on, a coyote, I'd see much difference from 9mm defensive loads vs a .300 hunting load. Not to mention having to add "and not fuck up the hide even more". It's a neat gun and I'm likely to buy one in the next 5-10 years, but I wonder if it will actually fill a niche sometimes. The A-TM stock combined with SBRing it and silencing it will certainly be a lot handier than my 20" .223 though.
>>65603496Fair enough, nail on the head, am I wrong though?
>>65601364In a perfect world they'll introduce a CZ75 copy with a steel frame but this is not a perfect world.

>>65603422>expect to see some of these products come back with some kind of improvementMan I wish I was this naive.
