With all the random stupid shit and terribly explained geopolitics+strategic goals, it legitimately makes it difficult at times to understand what the actual fuck is the point of what you are doing in some missions.Project Wingman is a pretty good example of the same concept of protagonist ace pilot power wank done right(er) - the background setting is no less stupid and poorly explained, but it keeps the player level geopolitics and military shit extremely simple and focused on immediate goals and threats, and unlike AC it gives characters dialogue that makes them sound like they are old enough to drive and smart enough to dress themselves in the morning.

The most promising upcoming aircraft shooter is Delivery Must Complete. Project Aces used to inovate with the likes of Electrosphere where they developed a 3D engine just so you could turn your cammera to look around. Since then they have stagnated and sat on their comfy monopoly. I want better games and so I voice my frustrations.

That's why the ones you fight in that mission aren't shit, and are genuinely surprised when the fake ace with a reputation for turning tail and running goes straight for the throat instead.
