Remove people.
Add sodium batteries.
Add a diesel generator for longer ranges.

Without people the tank can be very flat and low to the ground.

Also the electric motor can make it deadly silent when needed.

How come no one is working on this concept?

It's a HYBRID if it's got a diesel generator, duh.

It's classified.

Why does it need to be fully electric though?

they... are. like not even in secret. the germans have an unmanned leopard demonstrator, the russians showed off an unmanned t72 just a month or two ago; and its not unreasonable to assume textron have continued to work on their little minitank from 5 years ago. I think BAE claimed to have something similar too.

The U.S. Army is presumably conducting research into field-deployable nuclear reactors.

a tank is never going to be silent

a tank does not need to be completely silent to be an improvement over a screaming 100 db gas turbine.
