This is a 7 round, 1.9in, 22wmr compact revolver. And it has an interesting clip on it. Its meant to attach to your waist band and the grip hides under your shirt or coat.

But what's the story behind it? I see how this clip alone can make it less bulky but who was using this firearm? A woman? A person living near wild dogs? A cop using it as their backup protection?

22wmr isn't a bb pellet, it can do damage to soft tissue and also possibly bone. How do you guys feel about this configuration and Clipdraw clips?
>>
>>65610174
zero reason to carry this over a bg2.0
>>
>>65610174
I hate clip draw but I like ,22WMR in a pocket snub
>>
>>65610174
I own this gun.
>>
>>65610201
Yes comrade, why would anyone else carry anything other than The People's Gun.
>>
>>65610201
I prefer the snubbie because the shape of the grip makes it much easier to draw for a small gun. I don’t think people train drawing as much as they should, and these small guns that are very thin are hard to draw, especially under less than perfect conditions.

Here’s a much better take on the holsterless snub. I carry mine like this during the summer. It’s very comfortable and it stays upright unlike the clipdraw which moves around too much. It still fits in certain holsters, which I switch to in winter. It gives you an extremely versatile carry gun. I tried to replace it with a higher capacity mini 380 but those things are much harder to draw than my beloved snubbie. The grip is hamre forged.
>>
>>65610800
I forgot to mention that this grip only really works with a stretchy and softer belt. The arcade nylon stretch belt is what I use, and the agonic edb is a close second, but still a bit stiff.

BG2.0 often has trouble feeding hollowpoints.
Not an issue here, and WMR hollowpoints can reliably expand out of short barrels.
They're both good enough, and conforming just for the sake of conforming is for women and faggots.

>who was using this firearm
I'm glad you found that! That gun was used by Mallory Knox and maybe by her husband Mickey in several murders across the Southwest in their 1994 murder spree. Quite a find, happy for you! Hope you got a good deal, "bloody guns" usually command a premium.

YMMV with 22WMR in a 1.8" barrel, but I cannot overstate how comfortable and truly concealable clip draws are. 10/10 recommend
>>
>>65610174
.22 mag will definitely kill, but people don't realize that shooting out of a snubby is fucking LOUD.
If you have to use it in a self defense situation you will absolutely suffer hearing loss.

>22WMR
in a snubnose is it really that much better an option than .22LR?
To really take advantage of WMR you need a 4-inch or longer barrel. Seems like a blaster in a snub
>>
>>65610826
>feeding hollowpoints
That can be mitigated (and supposedly has been fixed in newer guns)

>both good enough
Yes (not solely 22WMR snubs either) the small light weight revolvers are comparable to subcompact and micro semiautos, highly effective self defense carry

>>65610201
>zero reason
I wouldn't say that. If you're more comfortable and proficient with snubs as light weight or pocket carry than a micro semiauto, go for it.
>>
>>65610174
I used to carry a chiefs special 357 with clip draw. It was a better version than the one pictured. The version I had put the clip further back and this kept the gun in position fine. Assuming you don't wear really loose pants, no problem carrying a revolver this way. The caliber choice is terrible.

>who was using this firearm?
A man who understood that, in the realm of handguns, All Stops Are Psychological Stops.

Rifles do rifle things, handguns poke holes. Outside exceptional luck, or an exceptionally cooperative target, those holes will cause bleeding that eventually incapacitates, but will not hit the few, small regions of prompt incapacitation. Think timers, not switches. You can reliably make the guy bleed out 3 minutes from now, but you can't reliably (physiologically) stop him from attacking you until then.

Therefore, it is no great exaggeration to say that All Stops Are Psychological Stops.
Optimizing for physiological impact -- wound ballistics -- is barking up the wrong tree; if the massive expansion from your favorite .45 JHP fully doubles your chance to hit something promptly vital, the result is still too small a chance to count on. Optimizing for psychological impact counts every time. While you should certainly do your best to make every shot count on both ledgers, even a miss has its psychological impact.

What you want is something to cut through the haze of melanin and drugs, and illuminate even the dimmest mind with one bright idea: "Hey, I'm getting shot at, I should go be a nigger someplace else." Muzzle signature is your best friend, and the fireball and report from .22 mag out of a short barrel is hard to beat.

Shot-for-shot, full-power .357 mag at the same barrel length is even more impressive, no doubt. (Though 7 rounds of .22 vs. 5 rounds of .357? You could go either way on that choice.) But if you're tempted to back down to .38 +P, or use a longer barrel to take the edge off, the .22 mag is a clear winner.
>>
>>65611653
>highly effective self defense carry
I'd rather hit the first shot and the followup with a .22wrm, than miss the first shot with a .38spl.
>>
>>65610829
I remember that, I was in high school at the time. The stories on the news were wild, really made them seem like a couple of natural born killers.
>>
>>65611996
Why would you miss the first shot with the 38? The da trigger is the same.
It's be your follow up shot you might screw up. Are you flinching that friggin bad?
>>
>>65612025
The anon you're replying to is clearly a limp wristed faggot, hence his inability to fire even the first round of .38 Special without flinching or shaking uncontrollably. I blame this phenomenon on discord trannies and AIDS.
>>
reminder that revolver users do not listen to reason.
>>
>>65610174
Yeah, recoil sensitive people need options too. Elderly people that want a carry piece could do worse. I can see a geriatric fella having one of these clipped to the belt of his pants that are cinched up to his nipples.
>22wmr isn't a bb pellet
Yeah, it's better than nothing and unlike 22lr I've never had a dud either. I think the qc is better on those rounds.
Sad admission, but one of my friend's only gun is a Heritage in 22WMR. Tried to sell, and then eventually give him a gun in 380, because he said he wanted something his invalid wife could also shoot after he bought a house in a bad neighborhood. However, he was a superpoorfag after he spent all that money on the house and then his wife got "depression" so now it's under lock'n'key in a different from where they sleep.
Honestly, wish he had something like this over his heritage. Although, through the mix of pride and retardation it's not like that gun really matters anymore.
>>
>>65612808
Is his tard wife cute at least
>>
>>65612802
And what is this "reason" that is refused to be listened to? Carry something else? Be an NPC?

>>65612798
That probably sums up that shakey anon perfectly
>>
>>65612829
>Be an NPC?

this mentality right here. all opinions of revolver users are just excuses. ALL revolver users on /k/ carry them for feels reasons but pretend they carry them for tactical reasons.
>>
>>65612837
I carry mine because I like to feel like a gumshoe. Instead of leet 0perat0r.
>>
>>65612837
Revolver is the gun I happen to own and I shoot it better than 9mm pistols Ive shot in the past. Yes I understand I should git gud and consooom
>>
>>65612855
why do you happen to own it?
>>
>>65612855
From my understanding, if you do not carry a 18+1 9mm pistol with a Reddot, 100000 lumen light and a suppressor. You'll get killed in the streets
>>
>>65612862
I wanted one and a friend was selling and wanted a case of beer and some primers
>>
>>65611984
Interesting theory. Some truth to it, but not enough to fully embrace it. I like NAA revolvers, but I definitely consider the Black Widow in 22mag a good compromise, not superior to more conventional carry guns due to short barrel noise and fireball.

>>65612837
When you get down to it, 99%+ of the people carrying will never actually deploy their weapon in self defense, and all tactical reasons are ultimately emotional reasons, the only good any of it will do in the end is making you feel you're ready. And I say that as a compulsive minmaxer who hates people who push for making decisions for feels. People who own what they own out of convenience and price like >>65612897 have more legitimate rational reasons to own what they own than anyone who has a doctrine.
>>

Eh, I guess? Tbh I met her when they were dating and whenever I meet a friend's gf or wife, I just instinctively don't really notice anything unless their fat or fucked-up. She's taller than him, and that's pretty much all I notice. Normal looking minus her weird haircuts.

For anyone under 70 it's just not enough compared to literally anything else on the market. For anyone over 70 it has too heavy of a double action(for safety, I get that) trigger pull and needs a hammer. However adding a hammer will kill draw speeds for those who dont practice regularly. Its just a whole bunch of really weird ideas to combine into one gun. Im just a hater of DA only revolves, tho.

The man is a 5' 4" midget. In my state the average woman is 5' 6" (not enough Mexicans to bring our average down like in other states). No shocker he ended up with a 5' 6" girl.
>>
>>65612954
Sure, that's a smart policy, but just because it's smart doesn't mean it will almost always achieve absolutely nothing except how it makes you feel until you die.

"No, MY lottery ticket plan is OBJECTIVELY SUPERIOR because it reduces the odds I'll have to split the money with multiple people in the one in a hundred million possibility that I actually win. Yes, thinking this out cost me more than the expected value of the insight, so what?"
I carry an autoloader btw. I'm just not stupid enough to think that my selecting the OBJECTIVELY CORRECT choice has more to do with reality than it does to do with my own biases.

what do you carry? I carry a J frame in 32 and I don't feel undergunned until I get online and read how I'm gonna die because I didn't opt for a bodyguard 2.0 instead. I mean I do have some .380 options as well, but the J frame is in a league of it's own when it comes to versatility, effectiveness, shootability and comfort.

snub revolvers are quite literally the worst kind of pistol to shoot.

also i cc a g43 most of the time. i have a px4 but holster carry is annoying when you wear fun clothes.

>>65613980
j frame .38 and it just fits in any pocket without issue. i have autoloaders that would work out and from time to time i rotate them in but the j frame fits every pocket. can't tell you how many people i've interacted with that never knew what was in the jacket pocket.

>BG2.0 often has trouble feeding hollowpoints.
You don't want hollowpoints in a .380, they won't expand. Just load ball ammo
>>
>>65610174
If this gun were cool it would be chambered in .17 hmr, have a 3 inch barrel, and a tiny tube scope running down the length of the gun like a winchester lever-action

Is this the actual bg2 shill cope? That its a good thing not to use real defensive ammo
>>
>>65616873
380 from a 2-3in barrel struggles to penetrate with anything besides ball or mono ammo. Most HP ammo doesn't reliably expand and penetration is generally under 12in in gel, so probably under 7-8 in a person. Personally I think 7-8in sounds like fantastic defensive ammo for a public space. It's not really made for bears.

The real knock is that SW recommends not using +p or stronger ammo in a BG2.0 at all. They built the thing so I'm sure they're aware of how well.
>>
>>65613985
c'mon bro. The g43 is one of the worst micro 9mms, which is a class of gun that sucks shoot. My 32 snub is not all that bad to shoot, and still weighs quite a bit less than the g43. Heck, if you are already going with such a shitty micro 9mm, You need to just grow up and accept your fate as a snub enjoyer. I've had a g43 and the snub carries so much better. Get one in 32 and you've got 6 shots and acceptable recoil.
>>
>>65617247
an automatic action will always be softer shooting than a revolver of similar size.
>>
>>65617660
Have you personally shot a .32h&r mag out of a j frame like >>65617247 is saying? Or are you just regurgitating talking point?
