I always liked Sig’s decocker.
Talk me out of CCing a blacked powder revolver
>>65610419You're not actually considering doing that and just want attention and conversation.
>>65610437s-shut up
>>65610437Is he signaling?
>>65610419>blacked powder revolverAre we talking something like a .36 caliber Colt Navy cap&ball revolver, or a cartridge loader like a Montenegrin Gasser?>tfw newfags don't know about the Florida anon that killed an attempted mugger with a sawed off Colt navy clone
I bought a Pietta 1873 Great Western II in 45 Colt. It’s going to be my very first revolver. What should I know?
>>65610473Double check that it's unloaded and don't point it at the film crew.
>>65610473Make sure its drop safe or carry it on an empty chamber. A lot of those wop repros arent drop safe.
>>65610419Big felony vibes, don't
You guys don’t have the right aura to carry a big iron
>>65610473At .65 cpr the only thing you can realistically do with it is learn how to spin it. I would have grabbed a .357 modern production revolver for your first.
Did you hit the range this weekend? I’ve been hitting it Saturday and Sunday Have you guys heard of the “Eric Grauffel’s push-pull” grip technique? It puts words to what I was doing with my support hand (pull) clamping to my dominant hand. It also emphasizes the shoulders and arms being used. https://youtu.be/VzwV0hOcwr8
>>65610447There's nothing wrong with hypothetical discussions unless you're a fun hating faggot, which we have in no short supply.
>>65610473>>65610544He could learn to reload, which, while not ultimately cost saving in the short term, is actually a pretty fantastic capability to have.
>>65610598There's no reason to CC a black powder weapon in 2026. Noguns can't tell the difference between black powder and smokeless powder and gun guys will assume 1) you're a felon (and probably for something gay like being a pedo) or 2) you lack a personality so you're trying buy something to give you one. Or both.
>>65610591>Did you hit the range this weekend? My hand is fucked up rn so I'm takinf a break. >Have you guys heard of the “Eric Grauffel’s push-pull” grip technique? From a quick read, I've been doing that by just experimenting in terms of grip. As for the shoulders I think I'm usually more relaxed?
>>65610591>push-pull” grip techniqueIDK who that dude is, but when I started shooting in the early 2000s that was a popular technique. It fell out of favor a few years later and I guess it's making a comeback. I don't care for it myself, but people who shoot a lot better than me have used it, so whatever.
>>65610591>push pull techniqueShotgun bros they want to be like us
>>65610604It appears that you are missing the fundamental concept of concealed carry. No one should be thinking anything about your choice of firearm because they shouldn't even know you have it. Also, there are many reasons to not carry a black powder gun and what people think about you is absolutely the least of them. Please come back when you are not in violation of 4chan Global Rule 2.https://4chan.org/rules#global
>>65610619>t. felon
>>65610623The fact that he didn't just say "underageb&" and just leave it at that proves he's either a tourist from Reddit, an ESL, or underageb& himself. The only people that even know about black powder firearms are people with enough knowledge to know it's a bad idea to carry it. When your choice for carry makes even those shitty little two capacity derringers look good, you've got a problem.
>>65610623Lol, you could at least try to have a bit of dignity in defeat.
>>65610410It’s one of the main reasons I don’t buy one.
>>65610648>dignity in defeatWho are you talking about, chomo?
I have a very stupid public service announcement if anyone caresA cz 82/83 fits pretty well in a glock 43/43x kydex holster if a bit snug
>>65610544Is that prohibitively expensive for you?

>>65610591My father is still hurting so I am looking after him, he is getting better, but a couple of days ago he needed his cane. I want to go and shoot my Single Six today, but I think taking care of my father is more important.I always use Push-Pull. Is there anyone who doesn't? Maybe I am just outdated on everything. I don't even shoot in the Weaver stance like some folks do.
>>65610666That's interesting, Anon. Thank you.Sometimes holsters are weird. I bought a Desantis (I know) IWB leather holster that is made with Glock 19s in mind but it doesn't fit my stock Glock 19 at all. Fits my stock 92 perfectly, though. >>65610669The day I started carrying a firerarm I promised myself that I would never not carry one when I left the home again (unless I'm going to a hospital or airport or something). Seeing stories like these reminds me of the ABCs: Always Be Carrying
>>65610591I went yesterday for rifles and to rezero my glock sights. Today I’m going to shoot just the glock. Maybe my cz I’m not really sure if that’s coming today. I’m finding myself leaving all of my heavier guns so I don’t have to carry them to my car. I look at them and think “is this going to make my bag heavy?” If the answer is yes it stays.
>>65610591Maybe I should try shooting from my car today. There’s nobody there, I could practice drivebys if I wanted.
>>65610669>A honda guyBasado
>>65610666Nice. Now I’ll already have a shoulder holster when I get one.
>>65610644Aaaaan now you're samfagging >>65610663Lol, lmao, even.
I have a question but I'm waiting for a new thread.
>>65610686They are nice I missed the golden ages of surp, but these are a good buy for the 200 they are going for now
>>65610692Okay in the meantime I'll ask a better question than yours anyway:What handgun calibers do you shoot and what is the next one you want to get into?Currently, I shoot 9mm/.45 ACP/.357 Mag/.38 SpecialNext year I want to get a 1911 (.45 ACP), a PCC (either a PX4 or Mp5 clone) in 9mm and also get my first .22LR gun.
>>65610702I imagine the mag pouch won’t work but that’s okay.
>>65610678Use a revolver or you'll be hearing pieces of brass rattling around in your cabin forever.
>>65610707NTA but I already made that mistake. I found some of them and they live in my cup holder now.
>>65610704The cz 82 mag is significantly longer than g43 mag even with pinky extension43x mag might fit itThe cz82 mag is .100" smaller in thickness and .200 smaller in width due to shorter cartridges but .300 longer
>>65610703>What handgun calibers do you shoot and what is the next one you want to get into?Currently: .45 ACP, 9x19mm, .22LRWant: .357 MagnumI WAS planning on getting a GP100 next year, but we all know how that turned out
>>65610707Ooh good lookin out. I'm the type of dumbass that would forget to roll the windows down.
>>65610717the GP100 is my recommendation for first revolver for most people. The good news is they've been making them since 1988 so there are plenty out there. Just don't get burned by some old timer who thinks his big, fat wheelgun is now some priceless collectiblehttps://www.gunsinternational.com/guns-for-sale-online/revolvers/ruger-revolvers-gp100/ruger-gp100-357-magnum.cfm?gun_id=103842919
>>65610703>What handgun calibers do you shoot.380, 9x19, .40, .45>and what is the next one you want to get into?I had an amazing time with 10mm and .38 super but I can't justify the purchases. I objectively should buy a ruger mk 4. I started off shooting in general with .22 but I never ended up buying one because my friend had one.>a PCC (either a PX4 or Mp5 clone) in 9mmI assume you mean the cx4? I'm personally looking to get an mke mp5k/ap5p. The cx4 is really tempting and I love how it looks but I want an mp5 clone as my first pcc tbdesu.
>>65610591LARP>>65610669Reality
>>65610741Yeah, I meant the CX4. I'm too used to talking about my PX4 Compact and my brain autocorrectedCX4s are pretty cheap and i have a metric ton of 92 mags laying around so that's probably the best budget option. Although, an MP5 is what I've wanted since I was in high school and Rainbow Six released so I feel like it's time to get one, especially with the advancements in FRTs
When is the 365 Mach3d hitting stores?
>>65610762Who cares get the 385. It fixes everything
>>65610762Literally nobody cares.>but i careYou aren't even human.
>>65610760Yeah, but you have a wonky 16" barrel to deal with.
>>65610766I probably will at some point but my organization has a retarded approved handguns for duty use list that uses the wording “all 365 variants” 385 probably won’t make the list for at least a year while all 365 variants are instantly approved
>>65610703>I'll ask a more reddit question than yours anyway:FTFY>What handgun calibers do you shoot.357 Maximum and 7.65 MAS>what is the next one you want to get into?I don't need to gunsoom any more, I already have everything I need.
>>65610757I mean. Isn't training all just larp in the end?
>>65610725It won't be my first revolver or even my first .357, my collection just feels a little empty without one at the moment.I specifically want a 6+" with adjustable sights target revolver
>>65610707Miatas are legit awesome cars.
>>65610787No, there are gun games and actual training. It's pretty important to distinguish between the two.
>>65610793I don't understand the difference ngl.
>>65610717There are already like a gorillion on the market. I bet you can find on in a pawn shop in your town right now.
>>65610795Do you see little hit markers and your score goes up? Games. Are you using live rounds on armed enemy combatants? Training.
>>65610789If I was gonna get a 6" revolver, I'd probably get a .44 Magnum like a Ruger Redhawk or Model 29 or even Colt Anaconda. >>65610787Well, yes, in the literal sense we are all roleplaying being in a dangerous situation that requires action of the deadly force variety. I have never had to draw my firearm and only once had to reveal it to defuse a situation but I still train regularly. Many years ago, I was talking to a much older gentleman who had been shooting all his life. He said his family once went to the grocery store on a Sunday after church and it was crowded. His wife was pushing their child in the shopping cart through the parking lot to their car and he was a few feet behind. A commotion arose and he and his wife turned their heads and saw a big car speeding towards them. He instinctively drew his carry piece and fired at the driver. They were hit through the windshield and this caused them to jerk the wheel and drive into a nearby unoccupied parked car. The police arrived and questioned everyone(this was a relatively small town so people weren't just going to be on their way after that). Everyone basically defended the shooter and told them the car was headed right for him and his family (and the others behind them) He was not charged or arrested. Turns out the driver of the car was some old lady who had some sort of brain bleed or stroke and that's why her foot wouldn't leave the gas pedal. Now, this guy could be talking out of his ass but I did see what I perceived to be shadows of real fear in his eyes as he recollected it and he seemed genuinely remorseful he had to shoot an old lady. The point of the story is that he didn't have time to think about grip or stance or anything except the split second decision to draw and fire, saving his wife, child's and others lives. Do I think I will ever have to actually draw, aim my firearm at a person and pull the trigger? I haven't for 15 years so I hope not. But I still train in case I do.
>>65610795The difference is in the details. Training involves things like having your weapon ready to fire and looking the target instead of your gun when you walk around a corner. Assessing angles of advantage and cover. Footwork and target assessment. All while having someone who knows as much or preferably more than you watching you and helping you figure out how to do it better. If your primary concern is shot placement and times, you're playing a game.

>>65610796But will I be able to find one in January after I get my Holiday bonuses that I can spend with reckless abandon?Honestly, it doesn't have to be a GP100. I've just kind of wanted one ever since I saw Hard Boiled when I was a kid and they happen to be available in the configuration I want in a target revolver (even though Tequila's was a 4").
I am still waiting on my EPS plate
>>65610864Walther discontinued production on the ppk/s a year and a half ago and I still see them on gunbroker new all the time. You'll be fine waiting 2 months anon.
>>65610793Gun games is shooting, raw shooting is all that matters
>>65610864>But will I be able to find one in JanuaryPretty sure you'll be able to find GP100s on January 1st, 3027. These things are built to last
If any of you have a pistol suppressor, try to put a thumb behind the slide next time you shoot.Specifically offhand, compressing rear of the slide with thumb and front of the trigger guard with index finger. Breech never unlocks, it's quieter, and no dust in face.Downsides are you have to manually cycle the slide and it taps the thumb a little every time.
>>65610885What if my thumb is too short to reach over the beaver tail?
>>65610864>Hard BoiledNice
Some guy offered me a colt trooper mk3 in .357. I don't own a revolver, but I want one. According to the serial number is from 1967How much should I pay for it?
>>65610653My opinion matters that much to you?
>>65610944Is this the 4" barrel? I would say $500 is a good deal.
>>65610953Yes! The 4 inches one. He wanted $600, but I could maybe lower it a bit. Thanks Anon.
>>65610760I thought they quit making CX4s.I can say for sure I haven't seen a parts kit (i.e. a barrel) pop up on GB for over a year.
>>65610963No problem. By the way, even if you pay $600 it is not a bad deal. $700 is the typical going rate on place like GunBroker, but some are as low as $550.
>>65610406I will come here with an extremely controversial opinion:Full sized steel frame handguns are a meme. I carry a small j frame and a g19 and a HK subcompact. Even the HK subcompact is Xbox fuckhuge. And then, I have a steel frame ppq. It's IMPOSSIBLE to wear concealed. Don't gg scrub me. The gun is like 40 oz, even with a pro gun belt it sags. It's so large, that even under a blazer and a top coat it's clearly visible. Detectives in my city don't even carry firearms this large. The g19 and the HK do everything this full sized gun does. They are a thing of antiquity. Soon, "compact" guns of today are the full sized guns of the future.
>>65610978manlet hands typed this
>>65610944If it is just the gun, nothing else, $500 is the highest I'd go on it and that's if it's in great condition. Any higher, and you start getting access to used versions of better revolvers. There's also the fact that you're gonna have to spend a decent amount on a holster and ammo. You're doing him a favor because if he took it to a gunstore, they'd either give him pennies on the dollar for it OR if he sold it consignment, it'd rot in a glass case for months or years
>>65610978>I carry a small j frame, and a g19, and an hk subcompactWhy the fuck are you carrying all 3 at once, dipshit?
>>65610982I'm 5 11 245lbs
>>65610913Support hand, like this
>>65610987Ah, a literalist. I should have said:I have the option to carry 4 firearms, enuemrated the three smaller ones as a subset of the firearms (compacts) and then listed the full size.
>>65610978If you can carry a Glock 19, you can carry a Beretta 92fs or Sig P226.The reality is that conceal carrying is a game of fractions of an inch, sometimes less. There are women online that show other women how to carry full-size because their small, bird-like wrists can't handle 124 gr +P out of a subcompact. If these women can do it, so can you, Anon
>>65610982I'm a manlet and I shoot full sized. Honestly anyone suggesting that you need to keep up with the Jones family on guns has taken to marketing hook, line and sinker. So long as you are not relying on a mouse gun or SAO revolver for self defense, you are fine. People sweat the details far too much and marketing doesn't help.
I use a regular leather belt to carry my Glock 19 or PX4. I use a steel core leather belt to carry my 92FS, GP100 or USP 45. If you're having difficulty carrying a gun, you've probably got the wrong gear
>>65611005Theres nothing wrong with mouse gun SAO revolvers either.
>>65610987He can't carry a full-size so he has to cope with three pocket guns instead.
>>65610978>HK subcompactCC series are not real H&K, real H&K hands are everything up to MAYBE the P30
>>65611032handguns*
>>65611015As a backup carry, it is fine. I would fancy a couple of those NAAs myself, but I have other priorities.I was thinking more of something like a Seecamp where there are no sights. Even then, if you want a Seecamp them why not get a NAA Guardian, literally the same concept but with actual sights.
>>65610840Cope
>>65611046Stop trying to keep up with the joneses, a gun is a gun is a gun
>>65610864I don't think you'll have an issue getting one in 3 months. They made tons of them and they are extremely robust guns.
>>65610872That isn't even remotely true.
>>65611073Kek, I guess I really should look in the mirror.
>>65611015I have not met anyone that owned one of these that wasn't either a million years old or a fucking loser. A 5-shot .38 fits in your pocket just as easily and should realistically be as small as you go AND you're not trusting your life to rimfire reliability
>>65610834This is larp
Just shot my G19 gen 6 for the first time, and it's a damn sweet shooting handgun. I love the recoil impulse on it, and the trigger pull isn't bad for what it is. That being said, since I started with a Beretta M9, I shoot with the crease of my index finger for a better double action trigger pull. Because of this, when I pull the trigger on my G19, I find that I pull high on the trigger, and this causes the trigger "dingus" to not fully disengage, and my trigger stops pulling completely. It's very concerning. I would like to think it's a skill issue, but if not, Glock really dropped the ball on the design of this safety feature for their new trigger system. I'm not sure how to fix this without an aftermarket part, but I might take a dremel to the frame opening under the trigger, and sand of just a hair of material, so the trigger will pull smoothly when I ride it high.
>>65611113The only uniform you've ever worn is from a fast food restaurant.
>>65611087It is, being a better shooter will always help. Training with some fat larper teaching “tactics” will not.
>>65611120>I love the recoil impulse on itUnderrated metric >the trigger pull isn't bad for what it isGet a Ghost connector. It's a huge improvement and the only thing a Glock really needs. You are literally the first person I have ever seen make this complaint about the dingus. Though to be fair, I have not talked to everyone who has shot a Glock>I'm not sure how to fix thisStraight up change the way you finger that bitch. I Change my finger placement when transitioning from DA to SA on similar guns and you can too.
>>65611120Use a dab of super glue to hold the dingus in the engaged position. When was the last time you dropped your gun?
>>65611101I have shot one of the swing out cylinder models and they are fun little guns. A challenge to master, but I would say that it would probably make you a better shooter at the end of the day. Another anon owns one and I am sure he will post his at some point.
>>65610766>Who cares get the 385. It fixes everythingyeah until the new issues of the 385 are unveiled. you dumb siggers never learn.
>>65611124Look, I know it's your entire personality and it is literally impossible for your mind to accept this, but tun games are the real LARP.
>>65611120Not to be that guy but... wouldn't the simpler solution to just do more dry fire practice? I just tried with my GP100, 92FS and Glock 19 and due to my high grip on all three, I pull them with the crease of my first knuckle of my index finger.
>>65611133Based and 1911 70 series pilled.
>>65610591>push-pullThat's what Weaver stance was. It's old, most people don't do it anymoreWhen I saw Bob Vogel describe his clamp a light bulb went on, that's what jives best with me. Until carpal tunnel or arthritis forces me to do something else>>65611120That is a problem some people have with Walthers, pic related is the solution, but Glocks do not have as much engagement on this part as Walthers so that's kind of a sus mod from a safety perspective. I am strugging to imagine how thin your fingers are that it doesn't sufficiently engage the blade tho Mr. Skellington, the thing BARELY has to move to disengage on a Glock
>>65611120Can you do this while dryfiring? I cant recreate anything like that on a gen 3 or 5
>>65611138I have no problem with them as range toys or party tricks but not as a conceal carry piece that you're trusting yours and possibly other lives to
>>65611150Will you give Arex/Rost Martin a shot later on?
Look,The HK is not a cc series, first of all. It's a dasa subkompact. Furthermore, I believe that the inability to conceal the steel ppq is because holsters are not really available for it. I have been toying with purchasing a ppq m2 holster to see if it works. The gun is brilliant to shoot, intuitive, and has an excellent trigger. It's just too big. Sometimes, I imagine a ppq reimagined as a colt 1903 380 sized and shaped 9mm using some sort of crazy mag to get 10 or 12 in a flush magazine. I also think that 5.7 is underrated and should be explored as a small thin compact. I'm sure office warriors will say they can wear a full size, but some of us have large industrial enterprises we run and need a smaller gat so we can climb ladders and stuff. The g19 is a perfect size. I just wish it wasn't striker slop.
>>65611193>but some of us have large industrial enterprises we run and need a smaller gat so we can climb ladders and stuff. Our forefathers built this nation with a Colt SAA on their hip or under their shoulder, I'm sure you can fit a PX4 Compact or CSX-E somewhere on your person without issue. I have a buddy who is a mechanic and he as a Sig P250 on him as he works on cars all day in all sorts of awkward positions
>>65611201I normally carry a g19 or a p2000sk. I want to carry the ppq. It's just to fucking heavy and big. I cannot imagine carrying like, a staccato with a comp or something.
>>65611207>Carrying a staccatoDo people really do this? If you use it that’s 2k sitting in evidence forever
>>65611193>I just wish it wasn't striker slop. Why are striker guns looked down on?
>>65611209Strikers are the automatics of the handgun world.
>>65611209They tend be cheaper and shilled by annoying glocksuckers.
>>65611208I saw on instagram some police department arrested a YN who had a Staccato (stolen from a white man, of course) on him with two mags full of HSTs. >>65611207But the PPQ is also "striker-slop". If your main complaint is that big steel guns are "too heavy" for conceal carry, you need to learn about retention cause it's starting to sound like your setup is a tube sock, pipe cleaners and Elmer's Glue
>>65611215The ppq q4 sf is the peak of striker fired technology. James bong carried a beretta and then carried a Walther. He carried an fn to kill the guy in Dr no, and a few other firearms but mained a Walther. James bong carried a p99 and the ppq is the direct genesis of the p99. JamesBond then carried the ppq. Thus, I carry the most advanced ppq they manufacture. But James Bond would not carry this shit. Idk what James Bond would carry in 2026 but it's not the fucking steel ppq. Maybe a pps. Maybe a pdp? But Mrs broccoli killed the franchise and it's over. So I'm stuck with a discontinued and depreciated firearm that Walther shilled me over the phone and I ordered about three months before they released the pdp series.
>>65611219Well if James Bond carried it, it must be good
>>65611219Walther better drop a micro compact for James bong.
>>65611213Wat?>>65611214Is cheaper (less expensive) a bad thing?Does glock really need paid or unpaid shills to move units?
>>65611193the last good gun HK made was the p7
>>65611142Projection I’m out shooting while you’re out “training” pretending to be tactical
>>65611209I'm an old guy so I prefer hammer-fired guns. I enjoy the fact that my Beretta, Sig, CZ and HK all shoot and feel completely different. Wheras my Glock 19, PDP, MAsada etc. all feel kinda samey. That being said, if i had to sell every handgun I own and only own one, I'm going with the Glock 19
>>65611209They are boringly perfect.
>>65611219>the guy in Dr noI think that was just a failure of the props department.
>>65611150>That's what Weaver stance was. It's old, most people don't do it anymoreI still WeaverI also push-pull because I found that it keeps the sights steadier with DA/SA guns (on my first shot especially) and creates a faster return when I shoot .45.Also, my hands are fairly large and I really can't get any meaningful amount of my support hand on the inside grip, so the "firm handshake" that guys like Ben Stoeger and Joel Park suggest doesn't really work for me. When I tried it I found no difference to tea-cupping while push-pull actually lets my left hand do some work.
>>65611251I've been told that a "cheat" way to stop low lefts is to have your support fingers crush your bottom three dominant hand fingers so there's no ability to pull the gun by gripping too hard My low lefts went away when I stopped staging the trigger and instead actually just did pull throughs with steady force application
>>65611132>Straight up change the way you finger that bitch. That seems to do the trick, it's just an annoyance to have to do if I'm used to a natural way of pulling a trigger. >>65611133>When was the last time you dropped your gun?Last time I dropped a gun was because I carelessly left my (unloaded) AR unbalanced on an indoor shooting bench. It was very embarrassing. >>65611144>Not to be that guy but... wouldn't the simpler solution to just do more dry fire practice?Yes, that would help. I would have to either adjust my trigger finger placement, upgrade the dingus, or get thicker fingers.>>65611150>I am strugging to imagine how thin your fingers are that it doesn't sufficiently engage the blade tho Mr. Skellington, the thing BARELY has to move to disengage on a GlockGuilty as charged lmao.>>65611151>Can you do this while dryfiring? I feel like there’s only a few legit firearms companies that have a well rounded catalogue (as in try to have an offering for most gun types), design and manufacture their own guns, and push their products to be used by military and law enforcement. The ones that really match this criteria are:>HK>Beretta>FN>SIG>IWII’m sure there’s more but most are probably in 2nd/3rd world places.
>>65611290>Beretta>Well roundedI guess they do have 40 different 92 models

>>65611285>Is that something inherent to the striker system or just because other manufacturers are aping glock? It's the second one. Most law enforcement keep theirs locked in the trunk during patrol so practically no one will have an AR-15 on them the way Ukrainians must with an AK-74. Service pistols are obviously inferior but a necessary compromise for we greymen. >>65613438NTA but I function test my carry magazines with live fire every range trip. Replacing the JHP cartridges with FMJ before and refilling them after is annoying but better safe than sorry!
>>65613470>Replacing the JHP cartridges with FMJ before and refilling them after is annoying Why not shoot the mag of ticondas?
Thinking about selling my walther pdpf…
>>65613495i'll give ya $300 + shipping and $10/mag
>>65613501It’s the pro version. I’m still also on the fence about selling it but I don’t shoot it that much and I don’t really like it aesthetically
>>65613219>In what wayI’ve also heard from many people that the LCP sucks. So better in the sense that it doesn’t suck. I just really like the idea of an LCP. It’s small, looks aesthetic, and cute. It’s also cheap.>LCP 2But with the LCP 2 they ruined the aesthetics for me. It probably feels and shoots better, but I just really like the looks of the LCP. Not a fan of DOA, not a fan of no threaded barrel, but I love the size and shape. Also, I like the idea of having a little 380 carry gun that I can also slap on a suppressor and shoot cans in my back yard or something. HahaI might just be autistic a little bit, honestly,
>glock 45 with radian ram jet>cz75b with trigger jobI can shoot cheap steel and reloads whenever. Literally nothing else I need. I think I'm set for life.
>>65613483Because five rounds of Ticond(erog)a is enough to function test my EDC pistol for the year and my precious cartridges were designed to be carried indefinitely.
>>65613379Muh dickHonestly, if you don't want a Glock/Glock clone, then just find something not polystriker, they have their idiosyncracies, but they are all pretty close to each other. Yeah, what I am suggesting might not be the best thing to go with if you are insistent on being modern, but it honestly just needs to be comfortable for you to shoot, that is what I believe is much more important.>which is all the more reason why I am sad that the H9 is a $1000 paperweight, smart on paper, stupid in realitySeriously, though, just get a Glock.>>65613269Forgot to ask, but is the Cimarron worth getting? This was the whole point I made the post, d'oh. Picrel
anyone ever made a titanim pistol frame
>>65613617Some custom 1911s from BCA and Christensen, other than that, the closest you are getting is a J-frame with a titanium cylinder.
>>65613610Nta, but I wish I could sell my Pietta. I just don’t like a SAA like I thought.
>>65613617Caspian used to make titanium 1911 frames
>>65613527>like the idea of having a little 380 carry gun that I can also slap on a suppressor and shoot cans in my back yard or somethingI'd recommend you find threaded barrel first and then the gun that fits it is easier to find. Also LCP 2 is purely 22 thing now, LCP max is the new Ruger 380.
>>65613658What didn't you like about the SAA?
>>65613527Of course it sucks, it's a pistol the size of, well, itself, and in a real centerfire cartridge. It's neat to look at, and it's good to have when you can't or won't carry something bigger, but there's just no way it's not gonna suck when it comes to shooting.>with the LCP 2 they ruined the aestheticsI agree completely. If aesthetics is king, stick with the LCP and embrace the suck.
>>65613811I had never held one before, but I like many others fantasized about owning one because vidya and movies. When I got it, it was bigger and heavier than I thought (and mine is the 4.75” barrel too) As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to lean more towards practical firearms I can actually use, carry, or use as home defense. Plus I had a Colt 1911 in the past, and was never really a 45 guy. Many people like 45, but 45 just isn’t my thing.I mean you may absolutely love em; many people do. I’ve also got an .36 cal 1851 Navy Pietta, and I really like it. It’s a single action, but black powder. I just never shoot it. I guess when you have a 45, they just have to be bigger.
>>65613873I hear you. I am so used to .32ACP and below (and aluminum/steel frames) that something like a LCP catches me off guard with the rcoil. Makes me sound like a bit of a wimp, but I am going to try 9mm for a bit.Honestly, I think that you would enjoy a .38 Super 1911, if you can afford the ammo.
>>65613867>I agree completely.>If aesthetics is king, stick with the LCP and embrace the suck.Bro, I think we both may be a little autistic. That made me laugh. Also, it’s cool someone agrees with me on the aesthetics. I feel like no one really talks about that. Surly there’s gotta be a way to make it not suck as bad though. I know they have the heel on the mags, and maybe one could somehow wrap the grip with something to make it feel a little more comfortable. They make them with actual sights, so there’s that option as well. Imagine if the LCP became the Glock of the .380 pocket pistol world. I mean they already have 32 round drum mags.
It can't be that bad, right? It looks so cool, bros...
Why in the fuck would you buy a .380 glock. Seems next level retarded.
>>65613470Sexo Marie
>>65613617Doesn't seem like a good idea
>>65613921If someone shot me with that I would be so ashamed that I'd kill myself with a real gun.
>>65613921I shot one in 9 and 40. Meh trigger. Not much room on slide to rack it. Could be worse. Could be a lot better. Looks cool as hell at least. I heard there are issues with the backstrap degrading?
>>65613986Also forgot to mention the decocker felt very not ergonomic for my hands
>>65614011Decocker?I BARELY EVEN KNOW HER!?
>>65614072god please
>>656138789mm is really good. I have a Glock 17 and out of a full sized gun it’s pretty enjoyable to shoot imo. How that translates to a compact size I’m not sure how to explain. It’s a little more snappy I guess. But if you’re someone who likes .32 ACP, I’m not sure how that translates either.>I think that you would enjoy a .38 Super 1911Yeah, I thought about getting one before. I think it’s something I’d have to feel and hold in my hands, and even then I think I’d wanna go with something like a commander- maybe even an officer model if it could run reliably, if I did get one. All steel guns are sweet, but I carried the full size 45 1911 before and that was a lot. lol I could do it relatively comfortably for a few hours, but after that I was ready to take it off.
>>65613949
I have no idea why people recommend .38 Super 1911s. Statistically no one buys them, high end 1911 shops have them on the catalog as a formality. If someone buys one they also buy a 9mm barrel to go with that gun.
>>65613078modern security is a joke dudethey keep hiring blacks who dont even follow protocolt. security worker who has to deal with blacks constantly cutting corners and never doing their job
>>65614270It's literally just Harrell autists.
>>65614243The jannies betray themselves when they delete beauty.
>>65614270Look, man, if you want a 9mm 1911 you may as well get .38 Super to get the same capacity without wasting grip space.
>>65613078>make sure car is spotless inside to avoid hassle getting inqrd? It's fucking dusty out there.
>>65614270Having shot a little bit of both I feel the .38 Super is a better shooter, it tends to be a flatter shooting round and the recoil is about the same out of a 1911, so mild. Also autism... A shot from a .38 Super 1911 is what killed Bonnie and Clyde according to legend. (Clyde Barrow himself carried a .45 1911).
>>65613921It's pretty badThe grip is huge and banana shapedIt's not compact despite what you'd thinkThe trigger sucksThe safety/decocker is upside down and the fulcrum is in the middle instead of the end so it's extremely difficult to moveThe sights are vestigialThe overmolded grip is known to desiccate and flake and can never be repairedMags are not compatible with any other 'retterBut it is really neat I guess
>>65614345Yeah but 9mm is much more economically sound and if you want go fast, 9mm can be loaded HOT by using 9mm Major brass It’s the same gun/barrel so any .38 super load can be done with 9mm Major Personally, Winchester Service Grade is a 115 gr @ 1300 FPS and 27 cents a round which is close to .38 Super range loads in performance while being cheaper
>>65614453>>65614453
>>65614318Wasn't the jannies TBQH
I really REALLY wanna edc the M57 Tokbut I can't find any in decent shape
unrelated but why does nobody fucking make any decent holsters for the M9A4
>>65616466I don't have one. I also don't make holsters.
