If it’s stupid but it works, is it really stupid?https://youtu.be/QhfluziKZBY?is=I1D-a7chWIFO8YLI

Lucky gunner says it’s good, so there must be something to it
>>65611783>stupid retard says it's goodsaid the scorpion
>>65612192
>>65611104It is stupid, but it's something from the pre common braced pistol days. something of note, the originator is a cool guy, but he trains CONSTANTLY. https://youtu.be/1RI-JwH0rh0 I would however recommend that you take this story to heart. the problem here is, is it good enough to break from traditional methods. I wouldn't say so, but I'm not exactly experienced in the technique.
>>65611110...and their par time?
>>65611104Why don’t I just use a folding stock?
>>65612335Gamechanger! Mind is now blown due to living in a Golden Age! I will now stock my glock!
>>65612364
>>65612525Thats illegal
>>65611104Made very obsolete by lack of SBR laws. Just put a stock on your pistol instead.>>65611783LuckyGunner are alright enough, but their number one job and goal is still to sell you stuff.>>65612364Even before the recent wonder, there were braces too.
>>65612603Not in 35 states. No more tax stamps, no more registrations, baby. Open season on shorties and suppressors, they're Title 1 items now, transfers on a normal 4473 from an FFL, or like just property in private sales or home manufacture.
>>65612841Yeah well its ugly
>>65612525Needs a foregrip and an FRT too
>>65612852Won't argue with you there, we need to retvrn to stock holsters for service pistols as a common accessory.
>>65611278This is what happens when you hand a rifle to a cross eye dominant new shooter and refuse to elaborate.
>>65611104Ian seems to have gone back on this idea in a more recent video, where he talked about pistol stocks. He said they're bad because they put the gun too close to your face.
>>65613012It might work better if the stock is also a foregrip and optics mount. You just attach the whole thing to the front rail.
>>65615152I like him sharing his knowledge on history and mechanics, and really appreciate being able to get access to footage of all kinds of interesting shit to disassemble on camera, but I'm not gonna pretend that he isn't perhaps all that reliable on practical application stuff and that his opinions on that aren't sometimes extremely subjective.
>>65615223As with any expert, it helps to know what their limits are, even if they don't.
>>65615157
>>65614662No its not. I’m cross eye dominant. Even as a kid with toy/nerf guns I did everything left handed. My dad asked if I was left handed, I said no, but its the only way I can aim well. This is actually not uncommon for kids. Maybe the dude in that gif is just a little dumb.
>>65615152He said they're bad because they put the *slide* too close to your face. You can't cheek a pistol with a slide anyway so it's a nonissue.
>>65611110I'll never understand this attitude. Those are people who have dedicated their entire life to shooting pistols in a hyper specified manner. If someone can come along with a technique or device that allows someone to shoot better whats the issue. It'd be like telling modern rifle shooters to not use magpul stocks and proper handguards to utilize a C-clamp grip because old timers shot just fine with their old stoners.
