I think that stark white on an ar is ugly as fuck especially since they dont really have any good looking rollmarks anymore, but an aged off white on a garand or something looks pretty good

ive used some simple model paints, come out great when the manufacturer does a good job with their engravings. ive had others that are so shallow that its not worth the trouble.
