Dead SKS anon here.

Finally took the BadAce mount off. Gun now cycles fine. Very strange because I used buddy's iphone to slowmo it firing and it didn't look like the mount was impacting anything at all.
Anyway I've since lost the original rear sight so the mount is gonna get gunsmiffed until it works I guess.

I will try to send more pictures of the barrel later but the barrel is either filled with rust or just junk. The pervious owner was some retarded boomer who clearly didn’t take care of his shit. As for the bolt, It has some rust on it but I think it’s just surface level rusting, nothing too serious. The main issue I have is when you go to unlock the bolt. Trying to lift up the bolt is hard and nearly impossible if there is a round in the magazine. Sliding it back and forth though is not an issue. I was wondering if that means the locking lugs are fucked? Thanks anyways for the advice.
>>
>>65630192
The easiest problem to fix would be rust or debris causing friction in the locking recesses, fully clean and lube the whole gun before worrying about anything else.

You don't get it bro, they've mastered fraud to the point that you're not even a contender for jobs now. The law requires employers to prove that they tried to hire a Canadian. So they put up an ad with impossible requirements (20 years of experience for an entry level position, for instance), and when nobody bites they get to import someone to work for peanuts. Often they make far less than minimum wage, many people aren't aware of this. The restaurant lobby in Ottawa is one of the biggest proponents of mass immigration for this reason. But skilled workers are also being replaced en masse. Millions must go.

They scrapped that requirement for any job with a median salary of 1.3x or more the median salary in Canada (the job itself doesn't actually have to pay that much, it just needs to have the same title as a job that fits that category). Theoretically a company could hire foreign "software engineers" for minimum wage and that could get approved.

He's right. If it sells at $5k then the market has decided that price is acceptable. If this offends you then blame the Liberal government that banned every other black rifle. Trying to impose some kind of moral price control by shaming "scalpers" is as nonsensical as any other price control - in the long run, they have the opposite of their intended effect.

>>
>>65631585
I'm guessing the logic for that would be that working age people tend to leave smaller rural towns, in search of better work and whores, leaving mostly older people behind, who are too busy dieing of old age to keep the gas station, general store and motel running.
So they inject those towns full of working age jeets.

>>
>>65631604
The problem is that those jeets are only in those small towns because they're doing survival jobs while attending the local scam college. The moment they get a work permit they flee to the cities and start doing food delivery there. It's not just a small town -> city thing, they even target less desirable provinces like Manitoba or Nova Scotia which have more lax immigration standards specifically to try to grow the population, and then the second they get a work permit they move to Toronto (Brampton).

The only people who benefit are the owners of small-town businesses who get a revolving door of jeets to work for them until they can finally move to the big city.

The standard German armed forces proof marks had tiny little swastikas on them.
There were small batches of Kar98s made especially for organizations other than the regular armed forces that had other markings, some featuring larger and more elaborate eagle&swastika motifs.
Nearly all of the ones in North America are post-war fakes.

Large and elaborate eagle&swastika motifs are were common on the Luftwaffe's shotguns (used for aerial gunnery training and culling birds at airfields), and on the needlessly powerful and fancy M30 drillings the Germans had as had as survival guns in some of their planes. Pic rel.

It's not bubba if it's for a period correct mount and scope. Plus it's an SKS, if you really care save one that's been bubbafucked.

but if you want to be boring you can just get a picatinny rail and use a random red dot i guess

The liberals have been in power for 11 straight years in Canada. I'm pretty sure Canada is at the 'demographics is destiny' point of having too many non-white voters to ever elect a right-wing party again.

>Most guns prior to the mid-2000s didn't come pre-drilled for scope mounts.
Lmao fucking no.
Just about very bolt action rifle made after 1950 was drilled and tapped for a scope from the factory. By the 1980s, it was literally unacceptable for any rifle to NOT have holes for bases.

>>
>>65632811
Its actually mounted to the receiver, the base just overhangs the stock so you can get the PSO low enough to use. IMO as long as its not an east german or north korean, and you do a good job, theres nothing wrong with D&Ting an SKS, especially if its one of the millions of commerical chinese rifles that will never have "historical value". Id rather see that than some dust cover mount

have you guys even read the argument the CCFR is making?
it's a huge nothingburger, it's the same court case they tried twice already and lost, but for a third time
their central argument effectively asks the courts to override cabinet’s judgment about which firearms are suitable for sporting use, despite canadian law explicitly granting cabinet that discretion

rod and his lawyers are surely fully aware of this, but it's a good way to get people to give you money
i'm shocked the SCC even took the case, i guess they want to shut everyone up

>will .357 give me da big bang?
You will suffer permanent hearing damage if you forget your earpro, yes.
>I LIVE for the recoil
If you specifically want recoil, then projectile weight is the most important factor (over energy or velocity, but those do still matter)
.44mag or .45colt will have the most recoil amongst the handgun calibers, with projectile weights of up to ~350grains, such loads may actually have more kick than .30-30, which tops out under 200gr.
.357 tops out around 200gr aswell but with less energy it wont kick as much.
.45-70 blows them all out of the water though with weights of up to 500gr.

Lever action, dirt poor and recoil junkie?
Buy a tube fed turkshit lever action 12 gauge. They're reliable, basically a Rem870 clone with a lever moving the bolt instead of a pump.

The only correct answer is this. Also there is a side rail that you have to get that it mounts onto. Most VZ have the mounting holes pre-drilled.

after doing some research i would highly advise to not buy it because these guns were spotty conversions into .30-06 by the importer
they were not purpose built as .30-06 so you will get bad accuracy and likely have issues with the chamber like stuck or ruptured brass

They're usually threaded for chokes, although some are fixed cylinder. That said, i can't recall ever seeing a Turkshit lever action in anything other than 12 gauge. I checked Typhoon's website and they do aparently make them, but i couldnt find a single former or current sale listing anywhere.
There are some 410s available, but they're of a significantly different design.

If you're desperate for a larp or cosplay build, an Ithaca SuperSingle 20 gauge might be your only option.
