Which would you vote for lads?
>>65630306Potato gun
>>65630311dubs and fpbp
>>65630306I'm torn between the Model 1894 because I love playing cowboy games, and the 1911 because it is objectively the most American gun ever made. Also, this is a >>>/pol/ thread. You need to go back.
>>65630311lel fpbp
>>65630311So the Remington 700?
>No write in optionlamewould have put this >>65630311
>>65630306should have listed the sks for all the nucommie kremlin americans
>>65630318it's not really /pol/, OP is just asking which gun we'd vote for also the .30-30 is the correct answer
>>65630306Idaho became a state in 1890, so the 1894 Winchester is the obvious pick.
>>65630306of those choices 2 world wars, but obviously it should be a Five seveN
TWOWORLDWARS
Are any of these guns special to Iowa specifically or did they just name a bunch of important American guns?
>>65630390Not really, and I think the 1911 is already taken by Utah
>>65630399To be fair, multiple states share the cardinal as the state bird, so I don't really see the need for any of them to be unique to the state.
>>656303061911(Two world wars)
>>65630390There's a massive wilderness and beautiful lakes, rivers, and mountains are within a short drive anywhere in the state and hunting is somewhat popular so the hunting rifle makes sense. Idaho functionally didn't exist until railway coming out of Seattle/Portland eventually connecting all the way to Chicago made it possible to sustain civilization further inland into the pacific northwest. Otherwise you were basically trying to walk in from the Nevada desert side which is one of the emptiest and most desolate places in the entire US, there was some frontier mining and local natives but the state really wasn't part of "The Wild West" the way it's pretending to be with the other cowboy guns.
>>65630306>Could have honored Elmer Keith, a native to Idaho, and given residents a list of weapons that shoot any of the 3 calibers that he designed.>Don't do that at allKind of a shitty thing to do
>>65630306>all the western/ww2 larp and 1 hunting rifle>no option for the M1895 potato diggerCan you do a write in option?
>>65630306Already voted for the winchester 1873the saa and the 1894 are decent picks too for an Idaho state gunthe other 3 are guns well known to American culture but not specifically to Idaho for them to be the state gun>>65630447this wasn't done to honor anyone, it really was to just to "own the libz" who keep moving herethats why some of the selections don't really make sense
>>65630306rem 700 because the environment is so varied there. you need to be able to reach long distances to reschedule pronghorn down south but still have bullet weight and power for grizzlies and moose up northt./an/ autist
>>65630460It's a nice distraction form the expensive food and gas, bad schools, low wages, shit roads, religious nutjobs, political nutjobs, how nice NYC sounds these days with all the positive news articles, and the hospitals that can't keep any talent but you can pick your favorite gun that dubiously has anything to do with the actual history of the state. (there's nothing to be proud of)
>>65630473>t.calinigger who misses the heckin hustle and bustleyou have to go back
>>65630477Only rich retards from Texas move to Idaho. Locals know this.
>>65630473this desu, if washington and oregon didn't have fucking retarded gun laws nobody would move to bumfuck idaho. at least mormonstan is alright for now
>>65630306M1 Garand should be the national rifle of the US due to its ceremonial usage and history.Otherwise, none of these state whatevers really matter. It's like state flowers, half of them are just random ass options rather than anything that's unique about the state's flora.
>>65630306>no 11.5 PSA ARguess that'll be SCs state gun kek
>>65630477CA should be the OG Hollywood era AR15 since it was invented there, but the mini 14 would be funnier since they're a cuck state and as an A team reference kek
>>65630306fuckin silly
>>65630390There's a factory in Lewiston that used to make shells and fuses for the army that I think makes sporting ammo now. Other than that there's not really been an arms industry in Idaho.
>>65630390Iowa does have NEMO arms which is somewhat unique for giving us a long-action AR able to use 30-06 and 300 winrar
>>65630306Completely off topic, but I'd rather discuss what makes Idaho unique rather than argue about the tangerine tyrant, trannies or what have you.I'm in the early stages of setting up a fallout ttrpg set in Idaho (pic related), and I'd like to know what interesting and fun things to add to the setting.I've already put Buhl in as a producer of trout based biofuel, a priesthood that maintains that reactor built in 1949 in Idaho Falls, as well as some tribals based off pre horse natives in the region. The snake river is also infected by ghoulified rad salmon that can strip the flesh off the bones of a Brahmin in less than a minute. What are some other details about Idaho that would add to the local flavor of the region? My prospective players are autistic enough to truly appreciate whatever niche Idaho shit you send my way.
>>65630610Isn't there a super strange rock formation in Idaho that's said to look like the surface of the moon?
>>65630311fpbp>>65630610snca
>>65630306The official gun of the state of baden-württemberg is the m98 mauser rifle. Yes, it was invented here. No, the other german states don't get a state rifle, most of them don't even have a firearms industry. Suckers.
>>65630616I'm in the early stages of using gimp to make it look like the fallout 1 map, based off a friend's template, I realize it looks like shit
>>65630306There's only one /k/ approved answer here: All of them.
>>65630610Mention the etymology of the state name lolIt was named after a young girl a guy wanted to enjoy
>>65630580>state gun is a gun residents can't even own without turning it into some weird mutant mockeryWould be kinda funny
>>65630638I dunno about that… I have heard two competing stories for the name’s origin but never that one. One is that there was a steamship called Idaho, someone involved in naming the place heard of that and thought it sounded cool so they took it. Another is that there was some (probably apocryphal or erroneously translated) phrase in one of the native languages that sounded like Idaho and meant “the sun rising over the mountains” so they went with that. Are you perhaps thinking of Ada County? That is pretty solidly known to have been named after someone’s kid daughter.
>>65630610Rad monsters based on sturgeon, moose, and wolverine would be pretty cool. The wolverine could give the impression of being just a baby yao guai but actually be ultra dangerous. It would also be pretty cool to have something based on one of the mining ghost towns (silver city, landore, atlanta, etc) and the crashed WW2 bomber at Loon Lake (pic rel).
>>65630610Also how can one get this when it’s finished or otherwise stay in touch with you? This is right up my autisti/k/ Idaho native alley as well.
>>65630630He's talking about craters of the moon national monument, not anything specific about your map.
>>65630306Aren't the 1911 and 1973 already claimed by Utah and Arizona?
>>65630610Also you need to have some kind of local basque ultra catholic sheepherder faction that uses their weird wavy swastika symbol, that would be hilarious. The “herd reich” lmao
>>65630306Does Idaho actually have a meaningful history with firearms
>>65630610This should either be some kind of badass unique end game weapon you find in the dead creator’s workshop in Parma or it should be THE submachine gun used in the Tater Wastes.
>>65630916Elmer Keith (probably) invented the .357 Magnum here, and it’s one of, if not THE most pro- civilian gun ownership state. In any event, like most of the others, we routed a significant population of injuns using firearms to conquer it.
>>65630921>No 357s on the listLmao
>>65630807Yeah, I'd leave the 1911 for Utah because of its origin. Honestly, Idaho doesn't have any real connection to any of these so none of them feel really good
>>65630928I know, right? Totally retarded disgrace of a list.
>>65630318You're such a fucking loser, bro.
>>65630473>how nice NYC sounds these days with all the positive news articles,Either you're being a disingenuous retard or you have literally fallen for literal actual communist propaganda.
>>65630306A Remington 870 with a 17.75" barrel
>>65630306Does Idaho even have a culture outside potato farming or did it just spring into existence in the 1950s?
>>65630332This is the only gun any real man ever needs.
>>65630994I mean, not really.
>>65630994Yes it's where all the hardcore mormons who think SLC types are pussies end up
>>65630801I'll be posting about in /tg/ whenever there's a fallout thread. If you ask when I have my notes in better order, I'll share a pdf>>65630917I'll have it replace grease guns as the standard SMG of the wastes, along with the Thompsons from the white leg remnants allied with the Khans >>65630799>crashed WW2 bomber at Loon LakeNoted... thank you. As yes boom towns and mining play a big role. The ruins of neutron bomb plastered Boise just got de-iradiated (to a degree) by a geck so all the major factions are strip mining the unspoiled ruins for parts.
>>65630340Thia is the only objectively right answer. I understand some of the other cow oy guns but why the M1 or 1911? How much impact did those have on helping turn Montana into what it is today?
>>65630306None of these have any connection to Idaho.
>>65631359I guarantee some post covid newfag came up with this shit, they only know normalfag guns
>>65631359Nothing has any connection to Idaho. Idaho is one of those artificial states that sprung up in the postwar housing boom as pensioned veterans look to move out of the >200 year old nigfested cities of the East coast. Like Florida or Arizona.
>>65631378It's basically just there to get a couple more red seats in the senate. If you merged or abolished some of the low-pop flyover states the Republicans would never control the Senate again.
>>65631389Yeah I'm sure that's what the primary concern was in 1890 when it was admitted to the union, retard.
>>65631389same goes if you quarantined cities
>>6563030644-40, Indian Wars.
