DB no insurance, all OOP. Consult took a year for the earliest appointment, and I got lucky with the surgery date and swapped spots with someone 2 months out, originally was going to be about 8 months.
Took about a year for all the swelling to go and 6 months to say I was overall happy.
Very happy overall, some extremely minor nitpicks, but that's just looking for anything to be negative about. This was actually a revision from a botched primary done in Europe, so recommend them in a heartbeat. It was actually a very hard job for him.

I went to Keojampa…I needed extensive bone work in order to have any hope at passing. I’m still not cis passing but am gendered female nearly 100% of the time in public now. I was rarely gendered female in public before the surgery fwiw. People are noticeably friendlier and accommodating now as well. It
sucks that your face matters so much when it comes to mtf but my experience confirms it.

Booked the consult 8 months out. Surgery was only 5 months after the consult. I paid $100k for it. First 3-4 days are generally awful, but not intolerable. You quickly bounce back from there.

I went to DB. Took 3 months to get a consult (someone had cancelled) and 9 months after that to get the surgery. For me it was actually insane. I told him basically I never pass and to do whatever and he was like "yeah your brow and chin are 2 standard deviations more masculine than the average man, there isn't a woman on the planet with these features", not in like, a mean way, but in an autistic hyper fixated way. The vibe was crazy he was like... Excited? Giddy? To start cutting into my face. He took centimeters of bone off. Nobody recognizes me mostly, unless I saw them regularly. I didn't tell anyone I was getting it and had a lot of extreme reactions, mostly negative. I still have issues with my body being too masculine but face is actually really good. I was lucky that even though the features of my face were really masculine, the layout and the things he couldn't change weren't really a problem.

Basically, best $80k I've ever spent.

his attitude is so nonchalant to the degree of being worrying. he comes off like he's totally checked out and going through the motions. I didn't care because it honestly isn't rocket science it's just bone surgery and my forehead and jaw were the only things that I desperately wanted changed but if you have any real expectations or you're close to cis passing anyway and want a self esteem boost from surgery it's likely unnerving.

i went to keo for a revision, i think he did an okay job on my forehead. i manmode and maybe i got misgendered like two or three times in the last 15 months or so? but i don't know if it was because of my face and some other factors. my cheeks kinda suck because i used to have cheek implants from my primary ffs that got infected and had to be taken out. i got fat grafts to my cheeks from keo but then i lost weight and now my cheeks suck again. i think i probably plausibly pass for an ugly woman and that's kinda my default (again, keep in mind that i manmode all the time), but i could also probably plausibly pass for a weird looking man if i wanted.

yeah, sure. i think keo is very skilled but you kinda need to know what you want when you go to him, he's not amazingly opinionated like db. i kinda regret not telling him to do more on my orbitals though but maybe it would have made me look unnatural. one thing i would mention is that you should never get hair transplants at the same time as ffs, do them after you heal, the results are gonna be so much more predictable. i would recommend him, he's also pretty good if you need to have a revision and is generally willing and able to fix bog-jobs by other surgeons.

Kinda? I'm 4chan brain broken and feel like I'm not allowed to assert myself as a woman so I still go by my guy name usually which causes confusion a lot. Everyone that I've come out to (and this isnt an exaggeration, everyone) basically said "you're a mentally gay man, I don't agree, this is a bad idea" and refused to use my chosen name or she/her pronouns. But also I still care about these people. I also want to keep my job. So basically strangers always think I'm a woman, and even if it's a setting where I try to assert myself as a man, they don't let me. If I'm with family or friends and everyone is he/himing me new people pick up on that and he/him me as well. I have been sir'd once post op and I had just woken up and started doing manual labor, no makeup/no shave, hair back in ponytail, wearing carhartts covered in dirt and grease from doing mechanic work, and then within 1 second without me saying or doing anything other than look at her was like "oh my gosh I mean ma'am I'm so sorry". I am 6mo post op fwiw

I liked DB a lot. I basically let him do whatever he wanted. I am very happy with my results. Asian tranner here btw.

Surgery was pretty easy for me. I paid like $50k oop. Stayed in a nice Airbnb in Marin. Loved SF, beautiful weather. Was fun to ride in the Big Ass Car. Splurged on business tickets for my flight back east because worried about recovery, didn't end up needing it. Ate a delicious ice cream sundae on the flight home.

Swelling sucked for the first few weeks and i had a bit of a lisp plus the nerve numbness was annoying. I got skinny when i had to have liquid diet then i got fat as fuck again (well just regained the weight i lost).

Now like nine months or so later, super happy with results. Consult in like a month or two from first outreach (snagged cancellation), surgery six months later.

Also wanted to add that gum line incisions healed pretty well. Only really visible incisions are two dots on my neck plus i guess scar in my hair that only one person ever noticed (asked if i had brain surgery lol). No one asked me if i got surgery which was a bit annoying but like i guess that's weird to ask someone. Looking at photos i was puffed up like a retarded balloon for the first few months from the swelling.

The surgeon in thailand is very experienced. She's the only one willing to touch me out of everyone i reached out to. In her pre surgery notes she says "i cannot gurantee any outcome". She wants 10k.
