wtf this is just my thread but less stupid and wordy, bump because i would also like any info to come out of this
bump :(
>>43667014i have a consult at deschamps in July, call to consult wait time is like a month, then consult to surgery is 6 months after, im honestly terrified of changing too much so im just doing a trache shave and maybe like 0.001% jaw contour
>>43670295i hope you post how the consult goes, my parents live in the bay so it'd be convenient to do him or keojampa for recovery/lodging, since i'd just be in my old bedroom
>>43667014DB no insurance, all OOP. Consult took a year for the earliest appointment, and I got lucky with the surgery date and swapped spots with someone 2 months out, originally was going to be about 8 months.Took about a year for all the swelling to go and 6 months to say I was overall happy.Very happy overall, some extremely minor nitpicks, but that's just looking for anything to be negative about. This was actually a revision from a botched primary done in Europe, so recommend them in a heartbeat. It was actually a very hard job for him.
>>43671349Who botched you in Europe?
funny how all of those years later the GOAT debate of ffs is still the bad boy braly vs the nerdy keojampa
>>43674300Bart van de ven.
just saw some braly before and afters and1. they all look the same2. t-they all look like braly?? maybe im cappin anyone care to confirm if i may have a point
>>43679697He's building the Deschamps-Bralegion
>>43679697He makes everyone his ex wife if you let him go ham.
>>43679697This is well known about DB. He doesn't give a shit about your desires unless you show him strength. He is famous for being the only guy who can actually make gorillahons pass, but the cost is that your skull is his canvas and he will change whatever features he wants.Highest power level among FFS surgeons, but at a price.
Keojampa and Deschamps Braly should rap battle to decide who's the GOAT.
>>43680288they should perform ffs on identical twin sisters to solve the matter
I went to Keojampa…I needed extensive bone work in order to have any hope at passing. I’m still not cis passing but am gendered female nearly 100% of the time in public now. I was rarely gendered female in public before the surgery fwiw. People are noticeably friendlier and accommodating now as well. Itsucks that your face matters so much when it comes to mtf but my experience confirms it. Booked the consult 8 months out. Surgery was only 5 months after the consult. I paid $100k for it. First 3-4 days are generally awful, but not intolerable. You quickly bounce back from there.
>>43667014>What surgeon did you use for FFSThiago Tenório>what were your results likeamazing forehead reconstruction, chin looks good, wish I had asked him to be more aggressive to my jaw. Tracheal shave was perfect too> what was the timeline from consult to surgery to recoveryconsult: august 2022surgery: september 2025 (yes, i took years to save the money)recovery: 2 first weeks were hell>would you recommend them to othersabsolutely. I do recommend anyone going to FT to explicitly ask where you want them to be more aggressive. They go for a more natural look by default, but they can be aggressive if you ask.
>>43683522also, my face is still changing a bit 8 months later. the people saying you usually gotta wait 1 year to see the final results are right.
>>43680664How did you afford the $100k bill?
I have 60k USD but everyone seems to be a botch artist so I feel uncomfortable spending that money...Ft didn't want to do much to me even though I'm a gorilla
>>43667014>qassemyar>6 months from booking consult to surgery, more like 2 years now though>forehead and jaw skipped the rhino and more stupidly any real soft tissue work which I regret >11k euros>went okay, recovery was a nothing burger >basically look like a little boy without any makeup or feminine clothes>more confident in publicslightly underwhelming but it did what it was supposed to
>>43683823Can't even get his useless assistant to respond to me after asking for a consult a month ago
>>43683834they can't handle the volume of patients they're getting in the last year. at all. I am... not sure I would recommend him anyway
>>43683909Any reason you wouldn't recommend him anon? People keep saying he's great.I could probably afford someone more expensive but it's a lot of money out of my pocket...
>>43667014I went to DB. Took 3 months to get a consult (someone had cancelled) and 9 months after that to get the surgery. For me it was actually insane. I told him basically I never pass and to do whatever and he was like "yeah your brow and chin are 2 standard deviations more masculine than the average man, there isn't a woman on the planet with these features", not in like, a mean way, but in an autistic hyper fixated way. The vibe was crazy he was like... Excited? Giddy? To start cutting into my face. He took centimeters of bone off. Nobody recognizes me mostly, unless I saw them regularly. I didn't tell anyone I was getting it and had a lot of extreme reactions, mostly negative. I still have issues with my body being too masculine but face is actually really good. I was lucky that even though the features of my face were really masculine, the layout and the things he couldn't change weren't really a problem. Basically, best $80k I've ever spent.
>>43683945poor communication especially post op and yes he's competent he's also very conservative in a way where he essentially only does partial FFS on the areas you're especially dysphoric about and that makes a lot of his patients look... weird afterwards
>>43684021I felt he might be like that after seeing some results yeah...Facialteam seem the opposite in terms of communication but still a strange amount of conservatism in results.Tough to find a good surgeon...>>43683985he sounds cool but the cost is crazy ;( I could probably afford him in a year or two but I don't like what people are saying about him creating the same face over and over
>>43684040don't get me wrong it was still life changing in that I can go out in public without worrying about my tranny bangs flapping around now but don't expect to look like a Hollywood actress unless you know exactly what you need to do to your face to make it happen. he doesn't actually give a shit.
>>43684078What do you mean by him not giving a shit?
>>43683564>Ft didn't want to do much to me even though I'm a gorilladid you ask them to?they are willing to do what the patient wants. if you want them to be more aggressive, you just gotta tell them that
>>43684198his attitude is so nonchalant to the degree of being worrying. he comes off like he's totally checked out and going through the motions. I didn't care because it honestly isn't rocket science it's just bone surgery and my forehead and jaw were the only things that I desperately wanted changed but if you have any real expectations or you're close to cis passing anyway and want a self esteem boost from surgery it's likely unnerving.
>>43683985Reminds me of this (Mardirossian) even if it's a bit frauded
>>43684355what's frauded about it?
>>43684363Makeup does a ton and honestly she's a weird case where her front profile looked worse than her side or 3/4ths.
>>43683985Is DB the only surgeon to take measurements and compare to averages?
>>43684375I don't really follow, she looks like a cis girl in that picture as well.
>>43684393No I meant that the difference is very exaggerated. The frauding is just the extremes of the transformation, where without makeup and front profile it looks less extreme (before looks better compared to the other pic).
>>43684329I have some health issues I'm concerned about having an impact on surgery otherwise I wouldn't worry at all yeah.Maybe that nonchalant vibe would rub me the wrong way.
>>43667014>What surgeon did you use for FFSi went to keo for a revision, i think he did an okay job on my forehead. i manmode and maybe i got misgendered like two or three times in the last 15 months or so? but i don't know if it was because of my face and some other factors. my cheeks kinda suck because i used to have cheek implants from my primary ffs that got infected and had to be taken out. i got fat grafts to my cheeks from keo but then i lost weight and now my cheeks suck again. i think i probably plausibly pass for an ugly woman and that's kinda my default (again, keep in mind that i manmode all the time), but i could also probably plausibly pass for a weird looking man if i wanted.>what was the timeline from consult to surgery to recovery7 months i think? and recovery was like 2 months maybe?>and would you recommend them to others?yeah, sure. i think keo is very skilled but you kinda need to know what you want when you go to him, he's not amazingly opinionated like db. i kinda regret not telling him to do more on my orbitals though but maybe it would have made me look unnatural. one thing i would mention is that you should never get hair transplants at the same time as ffs, do them after you heal, the results are gonna be so much more predictable. i would recommend him, he's also pretty good if you need to have a revision and is generally willing and able to fix bog-jobs by other surgeons.>>43683985so do you get misgendered at all now?>>43684386i think so yeah.>>43684078>it was still life changing in that I can go out in public without worrying about my tranny bangs flapping around nowoh yeah, tell me about it, it's so fucking liberating knowing that a little wind can't ruin your day anymore
>>43684485Re: do you get misgenderedKinda? I'm 4chan brain broken and feel like I'm not allowed to assert myself as a woman so I still go by my guy name usually which causes confusion a lot. Everyone that I've come out to (and this isnt an exaggeration, everyone) basically said "you're a mentally gay man, I don't agree, this is a bad idea" and refused to use my chosen name or she/her pronouns. But also I still care about these people. I also want to keep my job. So basically strangers always think I'm a woman, and even if it's a setting where I try to assert myself as a man, they don't let me. If I'm with family or friends and everyone is he/himing me new people pick up on that and he/him me as well. I have been sir'd once post op and I had just woken up and started doing manual labor, no makeup/no shave, hair back in ponytail, wearing carhartts covered in dirt and grease from doing mechanic work, and then within 1 second without me saying or doing anything other than look at her was like "oh my gosh I mean ma'am I'm so sorry". I am 6mo post op fwiw
>>43683548Have had a successful career in a technical role, and invested my excess savings in the stock market since the very beginning of my career. My compensation made it relatively easy to afford out of pocket.Had the surgery at 33 yo btw
>>43685236Maybe I need to actually invest my savings. I've been paranoid about a market crash because of a certain orange lunatic and the looming tech bubble.
Bump
>>43685236i wish i knew how to invest, i make like 200k but the government takes like half of it and then i spend the rest
>>43687683You should be putting more into non-taxable savings stuff a 401k
>>43684355She looks kinda uncanny in video unfortunately
>>43687861Do you have a link?
>>43688113I think I came across her insta/tiktok, cant remember
>>43683522How much did you pay
I liked DB a lot. I basically let him do whatever he wanted. I am very happy with my results. Asian tranner here btw. Surgery was pretty easy for me. I paid like $50k oop. Stayed in a nice Airbnb in Marin. Loved SF, beautiful weather. Was fun to ride in the Big Ass Car. Splurged on business tickets for my flight back east because worried about recovery, didn't end up needing it. Ate a delicious ice cream sundae on the flight home. Swelling sucked for the first few weeks and i had a bit of a lisp plus the nerve numbness was annoying. I got skinny when i had to have liquid diet then i got fat as fuck again (well just regained the weight i lost). Now like nine months or so later, super happy with results. Consult in like a month or two from first outreach (snagged cancellation), surgery six months later. >>43684040I think the same face thing isn't really true. Also cost wasn't too bad but his office sucks with insurance stuff.
>>43691037did you pass before? do you pass 100% now? what sort of approach did he use for your forehead? but yeah db is great when you aren't sure what you need because he usually has a good understanding of facial aesthetics. i always hated it when ffs surgeons ask me what i want to get done because it's like "i don't know, i'm not the expert here, you tell me"
>>43691037Also wanted to add that gum line incisions healed pretty well. Only really visible incisions are two dots on my neck plus i guess scar in my hair that only one person ever noticed (asked if i had brain surgery lol). No one asked me if i got surgery which was a bit annoying but like i guess that's weird to ask someone. Looking at photos i was puffed up like a retarded balloon for the first few months from the swelling. >>43691059I passed before most of the time, i pass basically always now outside of two instances where i was dressed andro (I have short hair and it was dark out both times). I had type three done for forehead if that's what you're asking.
>>43691084>I had type three done for forehead if that's what you're asking.oh i meant how big was the bone flap that he removed and how did he fix it back? because for some people i've seen him use wires and for some (more common) titanium plates.>i pass basically always now outside of two instances where i was dressed androah yeah that's kinda similar to my experience after my ffs revision with keo. i manmode but i only got misgendered like 2-3 times in the last 15 months
>>43691132"Manmode" come on now :( anyways idk how big it was, but it was fixed back with wires rather than plates.
IM Clinic in Barcelona werent great. I mean, if you're on a tight budget give them a try. Not awful, not great.2pass clinic in Belgium botched me, ruined my face and made me more masucline. Im now considering travelling to Thailand to fix the damage.Avoid 2pass at all costs
>>43691493Who is even operating at 2pass after Bart passed away? Sorry you had to go through all this shit sis.
>>43667014consult to surgery was like a year for me shit was ass waiting. 2 parts too so another few months until the second surgery happened
>>43692254Another surgeon named Bart and Noorman. The surgeon in thailand is very experienced. She's the only one willing to touch me out of everyone i reached out to. In her pre surgery notes she says "i cannot gurantee any outcome". She wants 10k.I just dont know what to do
I want to do FFS too but I've not come out to anyone, and too scared too. Any if I do it everyone at work/family will obviously see those changes which I do not want
>>43697454Same anon.I'm out to my mother but when I mentioned the idea to her I'd never seen her that disappointed in my entire life.
