I didnt buy plain white sugar that was 50% on sale. My reasoning was that I never use sugar, and that its unhealthy anyway so storing a bunch of it would be a waste of space. But i wasnt thinking big picture. If i had bought like 20kg of that sugar at 50% of, my options for what I could do would ve drastically high. Id be able to preserve sooo much fruit. Fruit thats on sale could become viable to buy in giga bulk.I could make syrups for days, which are used for turning fruit into pleasant sweets by a process of gradual increasing of the syrup sugar concentrations.So yea i basically missed out on a pretty valuable sugaring tech. My only hope is one day I come accross sugar that is 60% off. Its also strange that sugar would even be on sale, since it doesnt stale its self preserving like salt.
