I am made of steel. I will endure all these painful feelings through sheer will; I must not shame myself nor the trans community by turning my male body into a mockery of the female form and its struggles. Suffering from gender dysphoria and still choosing to be a man is the most manly thing anyone can do: You're not only accepting the burden that comes with being a man, but also the constant pain of dysphoria. Struggle and resilience are the foundations on which masculinity is cemented upon. Furthermore, remaining a leftist, a defender of minorities and progress, a helper, compassionate and charitable, not letting myself be blinded by pain and hatred is the greatest test to which someone's ideals can be subjected. I alone choose to embrace this suffering and pain; it is solely my fault, regardless of my body's deformity or my inability to pass as a woman. I am the one doing this to myself. And even tho the path will undoubtedly be painful I'll keep fighting with all my strength for progress, justice, love, and compassion. Because it is what must be done. Because I am made of steel.
