Blanchard had many failings and was wrong on many things, yes, he might've been a pseudoscientific charlatan...HOWEVER, his great achievement was in coining the term AGP - giving us a way to describe a subset of trannies who almost everyone finds repulsive and who ruin the public image of trans women. Even if the specifics of what Blanchard himself meant by 'AGP' (and the rest of his classification system) are wrong, the term has proven to be invaluable in its usefulness to describe a real phenomenon (which causes severe damage to non-AGP trans people).
