Please recommend me a razor for my face :( i'm currently using 6 blade disposable razors but my face is getting too messed up. I have pretty coarse facial hair but also really sensitive skin. Any specific brands or types of razors you would recommend?
>just wax
Getting laser done, can only shave.

I usually use an electric shaver, but when I don't, I use a simple safety razor.

I had the same problem. Bought a Henson razor about a year ago and it's been 100x better, plus with laser my face has never been better.

Even if you don't get a Henson I definitely recommend a single blade safety razor, blades are insanely cheap and you get a much better shave. I still use a gillette multi blade one for my genitals since I never had irritation problems there and I wouldn't want to cross-contaminate my face.

if ur too broke to laser/electrolysis or at home ipl then you should either epilate or pluck your facial hairs.

big fan of safety razors but even with my face perfectly smooth the shadow never goes away, and i always cut myself trying :(
>>43738665
isn't plucking bad for scarring/laser
>>
Dish out a couple hundred for a good laser/ipl and never look back. It's the only way you're getting rid of shadow and it'll take like 6 months

the shadow is not going anywhere with shaving, sorry to say.
the shadow is the hairs under the skin, the razor can only shave the hair up to the skins surface.

Yeah i mentioned it i'm already getting laser done but until i'm done with it i need to keep shaving

I'm too scared of those creams honestly. I feel like i'll permanently disfigure my face with it because i'm retarded.

you just test, leave on for like 3 minutes at first, then add an additional minute if the results are not satisfactory

>>43738746
yeah :c

me being poor and using the same razor for every crevice of my body, including my face, for a year now.
I just try not to think about it.

DO NOT use facial hair creams. I used it once and it burned the shit out of my face for like 3 weeks. I still have one or two marks that haven't gone away fully, and that was about 3 or 4 months ago.

Just use a disposable razor and do balls/ass last baka. Then you, you know, dispose of the razor

weird, i have objectively sensitive skin too (eczema sufferer) and it's been fine for me
>>

my manly Italian body hair clogs the fuck out of those little disposable razors.

I use Nair just fine on my legs. But my face just can't deal with it. I've tried depilatory powder as well but it was the same thing but not as bad

>>43739183
Do a couple swipes of the razor and then rinse it out from the back. I have alot of body hair that can clog a razor up but if you just pressure wash it from the back side of the razor I've found it comes out just fine enough to be clean and go for a couple more swipes

well duh, there's stuff specifically for the face, nair is too harsh
>>

Henson al13
Best decision i made
But you should get laser and electrolysis if it's cheap
>>
>>43739800
Yeah, I got the stuff specially formulated for the face and it still fucked me up

me too. i was thinking about it yesterday bc like my hair was course but thick? like not strong enough to break through the skin maybe because the skin was thick? so i would get a lot of ingrowns but not infected red ones just literally growing in the skin in like a spiral in place.

anyway i think the biggest difference was hrt, cause now the hair actually can make it through the softer skin, despite being softer itself. next was exfoliating with one of those scrub cloths and salicylic acid wash at night and just the wash in the morning.

but i actually completely stopped using manual razors. i use a philips oneblade 360 every other day and it actually gets my face completely smooth to the touch in like maybe 10 minutes of dry shaving just pulling the skin and going over it like 5 or 6 times in every direction and i never ever get ingrowns or breakouts anymore. if i want it closer i just exfoliate with hot water right before. obviously i still have a shadow but even that has faded a bit and thinned out. day two there will be a couple rough spots like sandpaper but some sections will still be smooth until bedtime and visually its about the same as day one. if i shave every day it gets a little irritated and raw, like it will burn when i moisturize. also spf 15 for sensitive skin and noncomedogenic moisturizer with hyaluronic acid

so thats my rec, but really i think its entirely up to individual and whatever works for one person wont work for another even with the same skin type so you really have to guess and trail and error which sucks but recs can give you ideas. good luck

i heard more blades is bad? or that its better for less curved places like shins or thighs? they say less is better like even one or two blades. idk ive been at a struggle cause i use blades on sensitive parts you dont want a machine near and like before i would never cut myself but now i catches all the time idk why i tried three four and five and i think brand matters more than number but also i just think my skin is thinner? i just bought the top rec safety on amazon but i almost never use it. even if i dont bleed they always makes some part of my face feel itchy or fucked up like its been scraped

GET A GOOD ELECTRIC SHAVER. i actually cannot recommend this enough. they shave just as well as a close shave with a safety razor while taking a fraction of the time and are less likely to give you permanent razor burn. obviously you should get laser too though but yeah
