AGP is real and a frequent factor in transitions but the leap to "any transitioner with AGP is only doing so for sexual reasons" doesn't really follow. AGP is a full blown spectrum ranging from private cross-dressers masturbating in their beds to living 24/7 as a woman. The identity structure that can form from it is mostly why these people transition. As a source of escalating sexual thrills, transition is unsustainable so I don't think it's just a fetish at that point for most. In these cases there is very often a substantial emotional and romantic component to the AGP that transcends the fetishistic aspect. Also, the sexual aspect can be faded from the start and arrive with the emotional longing, or arrive after it rather than causing it.
