genetics matter way, way more than age. you can transition at 33 and if you already look small and feminine you'll be a passoid within a year or less, even before FFS. conversely you can transition at 18 but if you look like a 6'2" football linebacker you'll never pass for the rest of your life. reality sucks.

I've had quite a successful transition at 30.
