Every relationship is about compromise and being respectful of your partners needs. If you can't find a happy middle ground, it's an incompatibility and there is no shame in that. There are many people who are asexual but still enjoy having sex because it's with their partner and others who are completely repulsed by any act whatsoever. It's often referred to as selective asexuality or expands into areas such as demisexuality most asexuals, especially the younger ones, end up realizing later.
