in what world do you use thinner needles for intramuscular than for subcutaneous ?

im on subcutaneous estradiol enanthate, i use 25G for drawing and 30G for injecting

tho when i was on triptorelin (intramuscular) i used 18G for drawing and 21G for injecting iirc, it hurted like hell

29G 1/2"

29g 1/2 as well. haven't had any need for a bigger drawing gauge, it doesn't take more than a few seconds to draw
i've always had a phobia of needles so i was completely terrified doing my first few injections, but after the third it was just routine. subq is way easier compared to the IM and IV injections i've had
