i love god but I'm scared to go to church because their "followers" probably wouldn't welcome me very much. It would be nice to go with someone I could be myself around, but I just moved here and have no friends :')

If it's a mainline Protestant church (PECUSA, PCUSA, ELCA, UMC, etc) it's probably fine. Catholic parishes are woke sometimes as well but you'd need to check on their website or something.
