>>43859924As a man who basically has this and its hard for me to walk as fast as others (even when I weighed 140 lbs, being thin didn't help that much), and doctors can't find anything wrong, this is hell. Are these ftms really in pain? Maybe. But as a man you just learn to ignore the pain because nobody around you cares at all and will just blame you for having it or making it up to harm them somehow. My arms and legs are weak and I can't do fine-motor chores well, but absolutely nobody has ever been sympathetic. I do hike with walking sticks, and that really helps.

I think COVID did a number on zoomers because they went through their formative years learning that the world grinds to a halt for "patients" or at least people with patient status. On top of that, some people actually do have long COVID but it becomes somewhat of a social contagion if there are enough bona fide patients in an extended social group. And afabs are highly prone to social contagion.There is also a well documented phenomenon of doctors being more dismissive of females with "odd" symptoms and I think a lot of liberal/feminist types or people in those spheres get caught up in this idea that you have to LISTEN TO WOMEN or some shit, so they end up making a mountain out of everything in a misguided effort to combat medical malpractice, ironically just making it worse.
