I remember watching a youtube when all of this was hot topic, it was in the city that had won the WNBA championship (I don't remeber what it was and I don't care), everyone said they supported women's sports, many even said that female athletes should get paid the same as male athletes (utterly retarded), but not a single person could even name the team, let alone any of the players. In Australia we have women's AFL, Carlton and Collingwood are the two biggest and richest teams. My whole family are avid Carlton supporters. When Carlton plays Collinwood the biggest stadiums IN THE WORLD are packed at hundreds of dollars a ticket. 110,000 people show up and like a third of the entire population is watching at home. When Carlton women's team plays Collingwood women's team, the stadiums sell maybe 5,000 tickets (my local league gets more than that) and that's probably inflated, and it doesn't get aired on any of the dozens of 7 network FTA digital channels. But more than that when the Carlton women's team scored it's first goal in 3 YEARS, they didn't even laugh about it. It wasn't even important enough to joke about how women's sport is stupid and nobody cares. Because nobody cares.
