>normal rainbow flag
Makes sense at least from a historical perspective, since we used to be a bit more of a united community when things were worse for us. Iconic and meaningful, even if in the modern day we aren't really a "community" in the same way.
>adding trans colors
A bit silly, since the rainbow flag became a catch all.
>Adding black and brown
Symbolic of leftists using LGBT people as a cultural battering ram for whatever other pet causes they have. At this point I'm shocked they haven't added Ukraine and Palestine colors to it.
>>

hot take here but minus the black and brown parts (i still dont really get why those were added) i actually think its a pretty good design for a flag. the default rainbow works fine as a flag but where it really shines is iconography (decals, patterns, etc), while the progress flag stands as like a good symbol to wave like idk how to describe it
>>
>>43897292
The black line is for AIDS victims, not black people
>>
>>43897292
The rainbow flag wasnt controversial enough
>>
>>43897292
Don't you get it anon? The rainbow wasn't inclusive enough. Brown people are basically the same as transsexuals. STOP THINKING.
>>
It's perfect. A symbolic intrusion of trannies into another community.
>>
>>43897327
Normal flags don't need additions like that. Flags representing groups of people come to be associated with the trials and tribulations and triumphs of that group without any modification. They didn't modify the US flag to represent the victims of 9/11, for example.
>b-but the thin blue line flag!
People who use this are enormous faggots, I would agree.
>>
>>43897320
>i still dont really get why those were added
Fuckinmg facist!
>>
>>43897353
Really well put anon, downloading this into my mental quotations book.
>>
>>43897292
>his biggest concern is with a flag he can simply not use
but yea faggots are totally oppressed, trust me
>>
>>43897580
A lot of recent far-right backlash against LGBT people has been in part due to the sort of omnicause wokism which tries to bundle every pet belief a woman with she/they pronouns might have in the most annoying manner possible.

It is there for aids victims and black people
>The colors black and brown were added to the Progress Pride Flag to represent people of color (POC). This was an important addition because people of color have often been left out of the queer narrative despite being the driving force behind the movement."
>>
The lgbt is a low iq organization. Most gays aren’t this low iq. Only the ones that insist on being seen. The ones that act obnoxious. The ones that deny biology. The ones that support Islam. All low iq.
>>
>>43897292
i used to think similar but i think having an ugly flag doesn’t really matter at all. if an ally’s support begins/ends because of an ugly flag they probably did not really care in the first place. similar sort of thing for people in the community. feels silly to care that much its a flag
>>
>>43899586
The brown is for black people. The black is for AIDS victims.
>>
>>43899730
Thats cool, so can you explain why the lgbt flag needs a black flag?
>>
>>43897292
the idea behind adding stripes was that they were queer people who had been underrepresented in the public perception of the community. so many people see the queer community as just white people, hence specifically including black and brown people, and there’s also tons of people who think of it as just gay men, lesbians, and bisexuals, so they emphasized trans people
>>
>>43897292
white and cis people need the reminder that they hate all of us and that we are stronger together because they keep trying to throw people under the bus for their own safety and this thread is all the proof we need
>>
>>43899771
Why would I defend something I disagree with? I was just stating a fact.
>>
>>43897292
>the rainbow flag was a catch all
tell that to the transphobic individuals of the gay and lesbian movement from decades ago.
trans people were excluded, here they are, reincluded.
>black and brown
above. blame racist gay white men.
>>
>>43899586
>being THE driving force behind the movement.
I don't even care about the flag but is this even true?
>>
>>43899819
Black and brown people commit 90% of homophobic and transphobic hate crimes
>>
>>43900481
Yep, we literally wouldn't have rights if it was not for the actions of queer Black folks.
>>
>>43897292
No wonder you losers keep losing you care about a stupid flag more then the real thing. You people are so insecure
>>
>>43897292
God I hate that flag so much
>>
o7 to my neighbor who is still flying the normal flag when all my other faggit neighbors have this new shitty one. 2020s were a mistake.
>>
>>43902153
Now, to deface an American flag in public and receive absolutely no backlash from the chill, logical heteros
>>
>>43897292
The original flag was the best, everybody was already represented in it, it’s literally a rainbow aka all colors of the spectrum but leftists are all retards trying to outwoke each other even if it’s at the cost of the community, just look at palestine consuming every other progressive cause
>>
>Symbolic of leftists using LGBT people as a cultural battering ram for whatever other pet causes they have. At this point I'm shocked they haven't added Ukraine and Palestine colors to it.

I'm not a fan of the flag or anything, but I think it's symbolic of LGBT people ya goof. the black and brown ones.
>>
>>43897292
the worst part is that I see this flag randomly around in the city I live near
>>
>>43899586
>>43900481
A black woman invented the telescope. You might disagree. You might even have some evidence to the contrary. But you have to ask yourself: is this really worth losing my job over? A black woman invented the telescope.
>>
>>43897292
It's a political flag and you've got a big tent now. LGBT got exactly what it demanded, and there's no going back to it being a grassroots movement.
>>
>>43900481
>I don't even care about the flag but is this even true?

yes. Because black and brown gay and/or trans people were at the bottom of the barrel. Hassled and assaulted the most by cops, randos, and clients, the least able to get jobs, stable housing, AIDS treatment, education etc. People had to do more community organizing and rebelled more. There were plenty of white people and people of other races as well, but a lot more black and brown representation and leadership than in other parts of American life, that's for sure.

Even in the early 00s when I stumbled onto the scene on the west coast (SF Bay Area), there were still some elder black and brown trans people revered for community organizing, and most of the people I worked with were black, brown, or asian (until I started working at bigger nonprofits). Unfortunately there should have been a lot more of them around, but black and brown trans people died constantly for a number of reasons.

Pretty much sums it up. They simply can't resist invading other parts of the LGBI community and making it all about themselves at the expense of everyone else
>>
>>43904916
ur flag is peeled up in picrel too btw
>>
>>43904932
It doesn't belong on that abomination of a flag in the first place. The original rainbow flag worked well enough to make me feel included as part of the LGBI. The intersex flag on its own is fine but it doesn't need to be combined with all the other shit to go "hey look, you're totally included!"
>>
>>43904958
yea its pretty ugly
>>43897292
is better

>>43904982
No, THIS flag is better and the only valid one to encompass the entire LGBI movement
>>
>>43905006
our spirit will always be in this flag anyway
it represents all of us regardless of how you feel
>>
>>43903015
and because of that we going to lose all our rights and start from zero people see us as political not human.
>>
>>43905006
>>43904958
>>43903154
We need to eliminate the T and Q before they ruin our progress. They are a psyop
>>
>>43905037
It doesn't and is fact.
>>
>>43905037
Men with a crossdressing fetish and a violent compulsion to invade other people's spaces isn't a part of the LGBI

sure it doesnt

maybe it'l work this time
>>
>>43905075
tell yourself that
my trans aunts and uncles flew that flag before you were born
>>
>>43905105
An here comes the "we wuz kangz and shit" revisionism that you trannies keep telling yourselves to justify taking over the LGBI community to make it all about yourselves at our expense
>>43905054
Exactly. They're the ones who are causing support for us to drop due to the inability to leave the kids alone, trying to force their way into spaces they don't belong in and screaming "affirm me or die"
>>
>>43905120
revisionism. lol.
we were deliberately excluded from this movement for decades for assimilation and respectability politics.
we only recently earned out place.
you might be delusional if you think we're trying to take over the movement. our brothers and sisters cried "gay rights" even as the gays and lesbians pushed us to the back.
the flag is for all of us. whether or not you like it, unfortunately.

>affirm me or die
quite the boogie man youve made.
>>
saw a palestine flag at pride the other day and was sure its some asexuality thing until friends explained to me think ill just get the cripple flag and deenby bc im too low iq for the wokisme
