is anyone from /LGBT/ religious?
>>43908581i was raised roman catholic and can still recite our father and hail mary from memory
>>43908581No.
if you're not cishet and religious you'd fall for the road runner painted tunnel
Considering religious attitudes towards us, it's kinda shocking how many religious people are on this board. It's probably because most anons here are American (severe indoctrination)Even if the jewish god existed, I would piss in his face for forcing me into this world. But luckily, he doesn't.
>>43908581i was roman catholic as a kid but stopped believing for a while after i got older. then i met my boyfriend and became anglican
>>43908581i worship the mortal god
>>43908591do you believe him?>>43908718religious believe is a human atribute that is anchored to our very nature. cannot be deceived by reason or science. i hope whatever angers you quickly goes away
No, there's just a lot about me I feel like I could never be if I was a Christian. And I also just dislike certain aspects of Christian morality. And I don't just can't make myself believe it even when I wanted to be a Christian.I had a interest in Buddhism phase, but eh there are certain things I could never be on board with that too
>>43908581no, but my boyfriend is and is unwilling to discuss it
>>43908581Used to be growing up, not anymore.
>>43908591sorry, i meant if you still believe in christ
>>43908836Bullshitting is human nature. No world religion has ever appeared independently in two locations, because they’re man made and can only be spread by man. No religion is therefore rooted in human nature.
>>43908836>religious believe is a human atribute that is anchored to our very nature. Is that why it needs conscious reinforcement once a week and goes away quickly without it?Your religious buddies WILL take away your rights as soon as they get the chance, and mine too.
>>43908863have faith
>>43908718You group the entire concept of religion under what you actually dislike: abrahamic religions
>>43908881that doesnt mean that religious though on a private life is a bad thing. religion exist to describe inherent points of nature, is not only a social and political aspect of your life, God loves you regardless of your conditions
>>43908886Hinduism and Buddhism aren't as bad AFAIK, but they still make improbable, unfalsifiable claims like reincarnation, existence of supernatural things at all, etc. But if LARPing as a Buddhist or whatever makes you happy, go for it. Just keep it far away from me and society in general
>>43908881also it doesnt go away. i dont come from a religious family, rather, my family has disdain for religion. if you need to reinforce religion into your life then you are doing it wrong. you treat religion in the same way you treat nature or love
>>43908922Those descriptions turned out wrong. Now that we have real ways to describe nature, your cited reason is gone. Of course you won’t admit that your real reason for its existance is to rally people to subdue pagan heathens.
>>43908966we can measure things up but we cannot truly know what things are on a ontological level. we can describe what a living being is by its atributes and actions but never for what it is in essence
>>43908922You have failed to provide any proof that your supposed god exist over 2k years of history and have wrecked countless lives along the way. What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.Practice your religion in private, I don't care, but stay /far/ away from normal people like myself who have not yet traded reason for delusion and /especially/ far away from politics and policy
>>43908951>you treat religion in the same way you treat nature or loveIt's funny, because "nature" and "love" aren't real things either lmao
>>43908927>Just keep it far away from me and society in generalNigga this is what people say about you being a faggot tranny, freedom of religion is just as necessary for human expression as freedom of gender expression
>>43908581mtfI'm all for God but I don't get along with His fan club
>>43908982they are>>43908974the fact that something cannot be measured doesnt mean is not real
>>43908972>science cant reveal the fact that homosexuals are demons that deserve hell since it cant be measured in a lab>therefore we need the bible to tell us thatvery convincing
>>43908992since you are a mtf maybe you would be interested in nupcial theology, where it considers the human soul to be inherently female and god to be inherently male, and they become married in a mystical proposition. personally shaping it that way has helped me in regards to my spirituality. it makes me remember that regardless of the heavyness of my body, my soul will regain its true form once in heaven
>>43909030no one says that homosexuals are demons
>>43909068atheist science man detected. We need religion since science cant answer us who is demonic in soul and deserves hell, but religion can.
>>43908990>this is what people say about you being a faggot trannySo? We say the same thing, but I am justified and they are not. Religion is an entirely voluntary choice and their religious worldview should NEVER have legal consequences for anyone who does not believe in their nonsense.>>43909003>they areWhere, then, do you draw the line between things that are natural and things that are not? Surely taking some berries off a bush and eating them is natural. What about taking them and turning them into jam? Most people would consider that natural, since humans are toolmakers, after all. Is harvesting those berries, turning them into a syrup, boiling them, adding preservatives and flavor enhancers, etc. also natural? Most people would say no. But there is no good reason for that.Either everything humans do is natural or nothing is. It's a meaningless category.>>43909003>the fact that something cannot be measured doesnt mean is not realI'm not even going to dignify this with a response xister, if it literally only exists in your head then yeah, it's not real I'm sorry
>>43908581I'm orthodox
>>43908581>>43908927>>43909046in hinduism there is this similar theological idea of krishna and the gopis wich were krishna group of female cowherdle lovers. the sakhi bekhi krishnaist sect was cult basically born 400 years ago and was made of men who partaked in the role of the "gopis" dressing as women and doing rituals and pujas for the male god krishna, having a very specific dovey-love relationship. i feel like in the west we could see this as a way that trans people could express themselves without being shunned down but the reality is that the sect was very much persecuted anyway, so it was a very genuine religious experience. this a way of non-abrahamnic "queer" spirituality, if you are open to explore a pajeet culture
im not religious but i still think a lot about it. i live in eastern europe and i was raised roman catholic. i genuienly hate the church and the christian faith alltogether, its for people that are too afraid to live their own life, so they have to seek refugee in some metaphysical deity (dont get me wrong, i think there is a god but he definetly doesnt give a fuck). even if christian god exists he is definetly not loving and the whole church just seems to me like one big example of stockholm syndrome. when i was still a teenager it made me feel really shameful for who i am. however, i still think about it. it must feel nice to always have something to rely on, someone to hear your prayers, someone who cares. my sexuality is a blessing and a curse, because of it i was forced to reevaluate my values and ultimately lead a much more conscious life but it also feels bad to know that the god that is being praised and is considered all loving by 2.5 billion people will make me suffer for eternity (ofc if he exists).
>>43909320"ofc if he exists" which he does not
>>43909101i am deeply religious, maybe is your protestant rotten brain that leads you to deshumanize people
>>43908927They are not that bad to you because you weren't brought up in a Buddhist household. When I dig deeper into Buddhist communities beyond just western former Christians, I found a whole community of people talking about how their parents made them pray multiple times a day, beat them, make them worship them, etc.
>>43909320god doesnt hate fags. in any case, there is nothing wrong with taking refugee in god. god does care, god is loving, and he loves you specifically
>>43909412He loved them so much he ordered their execution.
>>43909433he didn't
>>43909412no he quite literally does
those possessed by evil will always try to drive you away from Christ
43909470ok boring larper rejects the bible. no more (you) from me, troll
>>43908581no but i like the "aesthetic" i collect little figurines and stuff that i find at junk shops that i like and spray paint them.
>>43909585debil worshiper
>>43908581Kind of?I'm a Hellenic polytheist but I live mostly as a deist
>>43908882Yes! But not that one Why go for a knock off when you can get the real thing
>>43909289It also exists in western polytheism because of Inanna and Cybele worship. The western equivalent to the Hijra are the Galli. There is a weird catholic holdover that might be related to those that still exists related to the not worship of mary of montevergine.Polytheism has always integrated queers and LGBTQ shit even if local prejudices existed
>>43908581I was raised religious (church of christ, specifically) but I haven't believed in any religion since my early teen years. I can appreciate the cultural dimension of religion (art, music, mythology, architecture) but as an actually existing thing, I find religion repulsive.
>>43910005because bacchus and all the orphic mysteries lack something that is both core part of christianity and real life. sin. i think is a very easy thing to look for a religion that makes you feel ectasied and joyful with no sense of accountability, but in real life, we cannot sustain ourselves on only positive emotions.christianity opens a strange door in wich someone can recognize himself in sin, to realize you are not what you expected to be, that you failed to do certain things in life, that you have been hurt, and hurt others. and yet there a huge space for unconditional love for thats is in God's nature. if you told me that you have lived perfectly and that you have a perfect sense of self, i wouldn't believe you.the greatness of God relays on knowing that regardless of the expectatives you have for yourself, even if you really tried something and fail, even if you are a murderous and a evil individual, you can always fall back because God is going to hold you tenderly no matter whatmaybe its a slow-paced religion and you find it boring, but for that same reason it works so well, i adopted christianity in adulthood when i had to give an honest look at myself and i have been building faith step by step. bacchus or any pagan God is not going to be there when a dear one die or when something breaks you down>y-you worship Kike God!!!well, the cult of pagan Gods are long death and to claim you practice a religion that has been dead for more of a milenia seems childish to me
>>43909939how do you even truthfully worship a god you almost know nothing about? i always found reconstruction of old religions silly because they lack the natural and organic human tradition, they always make the cult based on some postmodern take and uncertain built. is such an american thing to do. paganism survived though christianity, and there is nothing wrong with admiting that, people movés, culture and religion adapts, to be born in denver and saying that you believe the same deity that old greeks worship 2500 years ago doesnt seem very concivincing to me
>>43908581i found my goddess/spirit from a poem and shrooms The First Femme, which i found in a collection of poems: "Learning To Fall Back In Love With Being Human" by Kai Cheng Thom, a trans womanI recited her poem before taking 4g of Pink Mammoth and APE and I danced with my sisters, as the mothers, before the First Femme passed through me and eventually embodied me. My body became a vessel, and I the Goddess, and while i dont really pray or whatever like a normal religion I think that living as myself is tributary enough.I plan to visit her again on 5g soon.
>>43908886Name 10 abrahamic religions or fuck off and say christoislam instead.
i'm a fairly conventional Christian but also i got my own heterodox thing going on at the same time
>>43911096What do you mean?We know much more about Dionysus and how people worshipped him than we do about Jesus and Christians during the 1st century. This is laughable christian propoganda.>>43911017Actually if you get into Orphic Dionysianism its a lot closer to the kind of Gnostic beliefs historical Jesus and John the Baptists actually had minus the Hebrew elements. >>43908581Stop it with the I cant believe its not Dionysus/Zeus/Inanna faith
Yeah. I'm going to Equestria when I die to join my chubby wubby pony waifu. Until then, I'm plapping men and punching foids.
>>43908581i am yes.
>>43908581im the founder of a tiny religion around my goddess Ellaphae; my wife and i are the only believers in the world
>>43908581i have a religion kink. the though of being owned makes me hard af. i havent been raised religious but once i tried to pray to jesus and i got so goddamn horny i almost came not joking. i guess it kinda is what makes people get off to pet play? like im gods pet or smthn
im one of the souls God created just to prove to sinners that you can go to hellNo
>>43911501>actually if you get into Orphic Dionysianism its a lot closer to the kind of Gnostic beliefs historical Jesus and John the Baptists actually had minus the Hebrew elementsi did get into orphism and gnosticism and its all pharaphernalia, is something that you could take interest if you are a teenager because how exotic it looks, but is not a faith that you could have in the long runi dont think jesus or john the baptist were gnostics either way and i think gnosticism is a sham
I was raised Eastern Orthodox but my family was very casual about it, so I'm only truly discovering my faith now as an adult. I'm also interested in the mystic aspect of my religion. I feel like it is the most accurate for me. I love God
>>43908581im united protestant, but i do consider other deities to be subordinate forms of god.
>>43908581i am hoping to be ordained as a minister of the word and sacrament in a christian church in the next few years
>>43914704what does united protestant mean. like the european reformed-lutheran mergers in the netherlands and germany or like the united churches in canada that doesnt have any doctrine anymore
