Evolution gave us humans conciousness, but didn't take away testosterone from human males, a hormone designed for animals that run on instinct. This in my opinion is a design flaw. It worked for some time when we were hunter gatherers working in groups of 100 people max where everyone knew each other and a male that tried to rule over the whole group could just be ignored and made a social outcast. But because we are too smart for our own good we invented agriculture and with it society and authority which obviously males snatched for themselves as soon as the opportunity presented itself. Imo the only way for a species as smart as ours to exist without so much suffering evolution would have to essentially redesign hormones and with it reproduction. Or the easy solution which is just keep us as stupid animals. Both would significantly lesser the amount of suffering the average human has to endure.
