He was being manipulated into a identity he didn't actually align with because someone wanted him to be something he wasn't. He could've came to me saying he was transexual and that would've held more water. Nonbinary isn't something anyone else can decide for someone, including myself. He didn't push back or express why because it wasn't his idea or how he actually felt about himself. It was someone pushing their own notion of nonbinary onto him so they could get their jollys.
