No it's a chemical thing. I actually feel better chemically (less weird nerve pain, more energy) when my T is slightly elevated but then the changes that come with it induce really awful dysphoria.

Overall I look much nicer and while there are definitely more changes I seek to make I like how I look more, but the greater self awareness that comes with undoing depersonalization that I used to cope is painful at times.
