Why do gay boys and straight trannies kinda have a thing for nerdy guys and want to spend their money on the nerd guy's hobbies while cis girls would only do this if they're obese just so their bf doesn't leave them?
It's nice being with someone who isn't as invested in all the bullshit of toxic masculinity that comes with men who see themselves as "chads" and have to pretend to like sports, violence, hunting etc. and there's so much constant puffery and blustering to prove how masculine you are. I don't like computer nerds or gamers though. That shit is just as boring and insular and wasteful. I like scruffy guys who do their own thing and have an aura and a calm about them.
>>43952358Hmm so you don't like the kind of gamers who play competive games and get angry about them or you just don't like any kind of gamers? Even a chill jrpg gamer that would just jap about the story of the games he plays?
>>43952381I want someone who doesn't play games at all and doesn't value that systematization of adding rules to play. I want to go outside and look at stuff. Or read books. Or talk. Or cook. I do not want to stare at a screen, or throw a ball.
>>43952400Okay to each their own!
I want a man who is also my best friend
>>43952415real
>>43952338i like nerdy boys cause it's fun to listen to them yap cutely about their interests and have long pointless conversations about whatever comes to our mindsi wouldn't spend my own money though, the more a guy's hobbies involve spending money the less tolerable he tends to be
any cuties in colorado wanna take pictures of deer w me and sing broadway duets or somethin?
>>43952415>I want a man who is also my best friendI'm a tranny who married my best friend (male). Would recommend.
>>43952338>>43952358I play videogames, but I try to maintain somewhat of an intellectual side by reading and a few other smarter hobbies. Dedicated gamers are gross, but it's on the more innocent side when it comes to possible vices for those of us who are very prone to melancholia. This is why I would prefer my boyfriend to game somewhat too. I want to be able to relate to him like I could to a friend. As long as the game isn't a MOBA or Heartstone or Overwatch, games like those are hard passes for me. And people who view gaming as a "hobby" are gross to me. It's a way just to distract yourself from ambient unease. Probably corrosive to the figurative soul. But I don't feel like micro-moralizing every aspect of my humanity.
>>43953967Oops! Repeated myself there when editing the text.
>>43953931The 2 friends I have are both reddit bisexuals but they've known me for years as a socially akward fat guy so its not even fun to fantasize about let alone actually attemptReally dont get the appeal about this unless its a childhood friend you havent seen in yearsOr maybe its just a neurotypical thing
>>43953967I agree gaming isnt a hobby and people who say it is are almost as bad as people who say smoking weed is a hobbybut game deving can be and games can be at the very least art adjacentLike disco elysium for exampleAlso don't see the difference between the games you mentioned and any other generic fpsslop like fortnite or apex or whatever it all activates the same part of the brain its all the same kind of digital drugs
>>43952338i have a nerdy guy who spends all hims time and money painting warhammer but he has a cis girlfriend. shes pretty too.its endearing. a nerdy guy who has a passionate hobby has 10x more lust for life than like half of straight menpicrel. He literally only uses citadel paints, too, the madlad
>>43954056Aw, fuck, he got War Paints and i didnt notice till I uploaded this ssGranted, he has way more citadel than anything else
>>43954012Yeah Fortnite and Apex belong there too.I'm guilty of playing some fpsslop.Althought Counter Strike is kinda hot. I want to be under the table while he tries his best.Disco Elysium is a rare exception of course. But most games that are lauded as artistic are popcorn flick tier art at best. Not that I find something as intangible as artistry to be an useful criterion for judging objects. It mostly comes down to my preferences, a fat gamer could find me stupid for reading. I blame depression for my lack of values.Game development has immense unexplored potential. The issue is that most indie devs are geeks with no taste, and even the more ambitious ones just drop cringe RYMcore references in their games. I've been playing the Dishonoreds, and it is clear that having a large team does something indie devs can't do; the world is much more believable and nuanced than any indie game I've played, and although its presentation is downstream of some Tolkien style "impression of depth", it's far less geeky than most ambitious indies you can play today. Cruelty Squad is actually fairly great, clearly not a "gamer's game", but gamers stripped it of its aura and ripped it back into our ordinary plane by turning it into a "meme" with "lore" and overly long "video essays"*. At least Ville Kallio got that bag.*I just have to insert here my opinion that if your video essay is five hours long and it's all just recapping some story bit by bit you should go back to school and your driver's license should be taken away. Pyrocynical's videos are cute at best. I personally find them sickening, because you YouTubers can't write about or even grasp at abstract concepts to save your lives. Add these video essays to the list of turn-offs.
>>43954273Yeah i hate video essays too. They're equivalent to these movie tiktoks with an ai voice in the background explaining everything that i always get (and hate myself for watching)There's a lot of artsy videogames that I love, disco is the only one that really made me think the way a good movie does but there's a lot that I think at the very least either have something to say or are simply innocent and cool for the lack of a better word (which for videogame standards is impressive considering most are slop that i regret consuming)Love cruelty squad too but other ones i like are mouthwashing, what remains of edith finch, blue prince, hylics 1&2 as well as shorter experimental ones like babbdi. Also one I haven't played but heard good things about is spec ops the line, apparently it's a political commentary about the US war machine. Also pyrocynical pisses me off mostly cause she should troon out already.
>>43954322>spec ops the line, apparently it's a political commentary about the US war machineI think as soon as you naively introduce an obvious moral YES and NO into a work of art you're reaching past the job of the author, you don't own this work and you don't get to tell me what it means. In fact, I am usually inclined to take away the NO from the work, because I hate the art. This is why I brought up Cruelty Squad as a prime example of the art-game. You know as much about it as the creator does. People mischaracterize at anti-capitalist when it is just capitalist. It's not anti anything, it's alive. It has pores. Lore? The whole concept is nothing, and you should confront the fact. That's what Ville Kallio does.
>>43954322I hope I don't come off as rude with my passion. Happy pride month.
>>43954431Like I said I haven't played it that's just what I've heardAlso I get what you mean but just because MC foxtrot never faces the camera and says out loud "workers should own the means of production" doesn't mean cruelty squad isn't explicitly anti capitalist. It's also disingenuous to say it's conceptually nothing, the parts that people often call random absurdism are actually either inspired by gnostic christian mythology or biopunk asthetics. The ingame world is shit because of capitalism, but even if we ignore all the ways the game indirectly calls capitalism out for being a flawed economic system the underlying implication is that the world became capitalist in the first place because people worship the demiurge, an ontologically evil god. If that's not anti capitalist, then you might as well say stonetoss comics that make fun of 41% and other chud statistics aren't chuddy because they're based off of real statistics.
>>43952502>getting a nerdy guy to passionately yap about his autistic interests for an hour, then sucking him offLiterally the best, I love when guys are passionate about their hobbies
>>43954526Cruelty Squad is about capitalism. Not anti. This is why it's so daming on capitalism's part. Stonetoss is a rightoid. His comics are a great mockery of the right. Amogus. I'm not calling Cruelty Squad absurdist. It would be terribly misguided of me to assign an -ism to it. And inspiration means nothing. It is the work that speaks. Or doesn't. Who am I to say? Ask your ontologically kind God. Only he knows.
They like tall, athletic, wealthy jocks in glasses. That's what they mean by "nerdy guys". Not us. Not manlets.
>>43954589I don't agree but your vocabulary proves that you are more educated than my college dropout ass. Giwiw a talented arthoe.
>>43954600>Not manlets.I was in to all guys before I started dating my current boyfriend who is over 6 feet. I could never go back desu because a short guy could never provide the same sense of physical security that a guy over 6 feet can. He can spoon me and envelop my body making me feel warm and protected, he can pin and overpower me effortlessly making me feel like im his. A short guy could never
>>43952338Because internet brings every single minority together so those minorities are more likely to foster and grow communities. For example if I was hypothetically a gay furry I would have hard time finding anyone irl close to me but when I go to the internet machine then there's suddenly so many of us and because our environment shapes us then we will naturally develop more internet/computer/nerd-related interests. But there's negative sides to this too: internet gives people too much ability to gaslight themselves into making a world that is completely disconnected from the real world and they can develop all sort of retarded behaviour, fetishes and so on because "well it was accepted in my tiny super concentrated internet community".
>>43954610Don't get too down on yourself, they're actually stupid & regurgitating nonsense.
>>43954610Please don't say that. You don't come off as uneducated. I didn't use any kind of vocabulary. I'm not educated either. I just read.>>43954695I wasn't trying to make this person feel bad, I even wished them happy pride month! We were just talking. And I didn't regurgitate any kind of nonsense. I just don't care about engaging with art by reducing it down to atoms of information. That's not where it lies in my opinion. I wouldn't say you're killing it. Any shot at it only misses. You can agree to disagree. But don't call it nonsense, I was very clear. Maybe you think that I am repeating your least favourite writer, but this is just my opinion. You can disagree, but don't call me stupid. That's rude. Although me using "ontological" in that way made me look a bit silly. It was a joke. I don't like it when people use the word that way.By the way:https://yle.fi/a/74-20163465"My games are based on observing this world, but I don't try to preach any kind of specific viewpoint, Kallio states.""Many games have a clear moral structure: there are good and bad decisions. I personally don't like it when they push a specific viewpoint or some set of values."I agree with Kallio on his own interpretation of his work.He does say this too:"[The observations] heavily relate to the unjustness of capitalism, and people's hypocrisy and greed."Which sadly pulls the curtain back a little.
>>43954695Btw let's keep it chill. I don't hate you even though you called me stupid, I wish a happy pride month to you also.I know I come off as an egomaniac, but personally I'm not convinced with what I talk about. Even though I'm the one talking. People in real life think that I am egotistical, which has me worried. I don't think that I am stupid, but I also find it a little distressing that someone might think that I take myself very seriously. I try to be self aware.
>>43952338i like videogames and nerd stuffi'd like my partner to also like videogames and nerd stuffsimple as
